Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

Congrats jamjar not an empty jar anymore!!

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 22:09

DH has just pointed out I'm cycle 4 lol. It's just because it felt that long!

Thanks everyone :) This thread is literally a life saver. It's crazy that I can't tell people for ages yet so I'm just going to be obsessed with you guys now! I've got my fingers very tightly crossed for you!!!

harrietm87 · 16/03/2016 23:09

Hi everyone! Just checking in cos it's been a while, and really glad I did - congratulations jam!!!! great news and hope all goes well. I think the sensitive nipples are def a good sign.

So my chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage/whatever it was was pretty awful. Loads of blood for 6 days. But then I ran a 10k in a really good time on the 7th day and I feel good now! Engrossed in wedding planning and taking a break from ttc for now. I'm really struggling to find a wedding dress I like so if anyone has any ideas let me know!

Cailler · 17/03/2016 05:29

Wahey Jam that's awesome news!! 🎉🎉

So pleased that you're feeling better and more positive Harriet and congrats on your 10km. Wedding dress shopping is the best bit, enjoy. I was super fussy as I wanted something like Kate Moss's and went to 7 different places before I found mine.

Jamjar12 · 17/03/2016 06:46

Thanks guys :)

I loved wedding dress shopping. I literally tried on like 100 dresses. I loved Maggie Sottero (mine was the Glenda one of hers) and Stella York. What type of dress are you looking for? Although I tried on a lot, I ended up getting pretty much the exact type of dress I'd always thought I would- A line with a longish train, lace and some sort of V neck or higher neckline.

Evergreen15 · 17/03/2016 06:54

Harrier well done on the 10k and what a great attitude Smile I could do with some if that myself Smile. What you describe sounds awful, sorry you had to go through that Sad

LisaTheGreek · 17/03/2016 08:03

Congrats Cailler and JamJar! Wonderful news, so so pleased for you both! Thanks

Evergreen15 · 17/03/2016 08:23

Harriet not Harrier. Blush

SuchaJem · 17/03/2016 08:49

Well done on your 10k harriet, what an amazing achievement after an incredibly hard experience. Enjoy wedding dress shopping, that was one of my favourite bits too.

So 7dpo today and nothing. Nada. No boobs, no cramps, no nausea. I'm tired but I'm full of cold and had a long haul flight last weekend - so no surprise there.

I really wanted it to happen this month - the thought of a November baby was a lovely one. I know there's still a chance but I'm not getting any clues to go on.

Where's starky? I'm waiting for a blog update!

Flashinthepan · 17/03/2016 09:15

Morning ladies! Congratulations Cailler and Jamjar. Very exciting! Based on my, frankly quite inexact, cycle tracking I am on CD 11 and due to ovulate in 2 days. Been DTD every day for the last few days but can't imagine being lucky enough to happen in the first cycle. Also, I had a weird dream last night that I'd had a baby and gone back to work but kept forgetting I had a baby and shouldn't be at work so was forgetting to feed it and change it and then found it gurgling away happily in a cloakroom in a duffel bag! I don't even want to know what that says about my future parenting skills!

FXSkip · 17/03/2016 10:02

Flash that is wierd - maybe a good sign?!

Congrats Jamjar I am so so happy for you - another old timey moving on to the grads thread Grin Good to see that you managed to have a lot of fun for the last cycle - it does make you wonder whether there is some truth when those wildly irritating people say 'relax and it will happen'!! Also makes me wonder if those people who get upduffed just by 'accidentally missing the pill one time' or whatever maybe are telling the truth....who knows?! Anyway, very exciting.

I'm done with all the tracking too to be honest, I've got enough on my plate right now so we are effectively on a TTC break but I will probably keep checking in here to see what happens - its like a soap opera Wink and cheering on all the BFPs as they happen. My fingers are crossed for kwick next - whats happening pal?! x

KatOnATinRo0f · 17/03/2016 10:55

Congrats !!!! Three BFPs!! Woowzers!! So amazing, so happy for you guys!

(I'm feeling positively chilled this month. I haven't peed on a single OPK. I don't know what CD I am on and I haven't looked on Ovia or logged anything. I think I must be in ISW at some point but no idea when I will ovulate. I don't mind if I get a BFP now or in 3 or 6 months. It will happen. (In fact I've started to think about doing all the stuff I put on hold for the last 7 months as I was going to be pregnant.) bloody typical if I am preg this time around haha!! Just think! I was thinking id be 7 months by now!) feeling relaxed :) hope everyone can try it!)

LovelyFishy · 17/03/2016 11:37

Congratulations Jamjar!

Harriet unlike everyone else I didn't really enjoy wedding dress shopping! I'm not a very girly girl and know little about dresses in general. All I knew was I needed a wedding dress and the first shop I went to absolutely bamboozled me with it all! Luckily the second shop I went to were lovely and relaxed and took everything at my pace. They suggested trying on several of each style, even the ones you look at on the hanger and think it's not for you! It really helped and I ended up with a lovely dress. Good luck with finding yours! Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/03/2016 12:42

I'm here jem Grin been a busy bee! Blog will be up at some point in the next couple of days! Just checked ovia and I'm cd 31, she's telling me to test, as usual. Af due in a week. Been a hormonal MESS last few days!

Made up for all the bfp's! jam, rae and cailler what lovely news! Congratulations guys! 🌹🎉🎊🍰💐🍼👑

Congrats jam! I'm also giving you a high five for conceiving on cycle 5....same here! Exciting times ahead!

RaeSkywalker · 17/03/2016 13:59

Congrats Jam!

HepKestrel · 17/03/2016 14:22

am keeping my fx for you starky

Flashinthepan · 17/03/2016 14:28

Anyone doing anything exciting this month on a non-TTC front? What do you do in the 2WW to stop from stressing? AF always seemed to come round very quickly without warning but I sense that may not be the case now.

SuchaJem · 17/03/2016 14:56

starky cd31 and still a week until AF? I don't know how you do it mate. Glad to hear blog update coming soon.

flash the first two cycles I was mental - completely convinced myself I was pregnant. Third cycle now and I feel more like - probably not, will probably take ages - more resigned to the process. What CD are you on?

Flashinthepan · 17/03/2016 15:32

Oh only CD 11, haven't even ovulated yet, but I feel completely certain that I will be pregnant this time or never (both of which are of course the extremes of madness on my part). I swore I would be totally relaxed and just see what happened, but then realised it was sort of impossible to do that as having spent my whole life trying not to get pregnant, I was now trying and its hard to ignore that fact! I think I just need a project to distract me, and potentially our loft conversion is starting in 2 weeks, so I hope that will keep me entertained (dusty and tearing my hair out more like it!)

StarkyTheDirewolf · 17/03/2016 15:37

flash only advice, just don't think about it! Grin There's nothing you can do either way so might aswell enjoy it! Ignore ovia, don't look up anything on Google because somewhere in the world at least one woman will have had a bfp with 'my left tit has fallen off and I've gone permenantly cross eyed. 11 dpo?' Just don't convince yourself you're pregnant, and it does go faster that way I reckon too!

jem I might test at cd 33 or cd 35 if af doesn't show up early. Just to have something to look forward to. Might as well treat myself!

Anyone heard anything off kwick got my fx for you!

OP posts:
SuchaJem · 17/03/2016 15:56

I think that's totally normal on your first cycle flash - to suddenly not be avoiding pregnancy is such a mental shift. All those years trying not to made me think well obviously it'll happen right away, even when you know it might not.

I think there's as much chance as it happening on your first cycle as any though? It roughly 25% each go. Not a cumulative effect! So you never know.

HepKestrel · 17/03/2016 16:04

I am almost waving goodbye to the witch and will crack out the opk strips tomorrow or saturday.

I have a distraction from ttc at the moment. grumpy-old-vampire-cat's checkup at the vet didn't go well. He has lost a lot of weight (much more than i thought, so naturally i feel guilty for not making appointment earlier).

urine test was inconclusive (possible atypical cells?), so just waiting for blood test. I know he is old (18 years). not sure it makes it much easier. Stoopid cat. The good news is he is still eating and playing with his toys, so he is not is any distress/discomfort (i hope).

kavanaughkj · 17/03/2016 16:53

Congrats jamjar and Caillier! I'm learning (gradually) to calm down a bit about the whole process - I'm on cycle 3 now and got far too excited on the first two. Might even indulge in a glass or two of wine :)

Body is throwing me weird curveballs at the moment - I had a ton of EWCM this morning and high fertility indications on the ovulation monitor (negative OPK though) but my temperature zoomed up this morning way earlier than expected ... trying not to think too much about it and at least it's information doctors can use if I have to go to them down the line. I think the main thing that's stressing me out is my age - people keep telling me they know of women who got pregnant no problem at all at advanced ages but there's always this little voice in my head that's whining about why isn't it meeee yet?

Jamjar12 · 17/03/2016 17:14

It was so hard just going to work today and acting like nothing's different! I feel like I've got a flashing neon sign above my head.

Lol Flash! I also had the weirdest dream last night that I was at a party and being pressured into eating prawns because I couldn't tell people I was pregnant lol. But I was having to stuff my face with them. It was very traumatic!

It might still happen Jem, don't give up!! We've had lots of people who haven't had even the shadow of a symptom this early.

Definitely does Fx! But then it's so much down to luck anyway that it might just be a coincidence it worked this month???!!!

Kat, yeah I did that. Very almost booked a spa weekend with my mum and a Disney Paris trip with my sister, thinking what the hell? I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed we can't do Disney. What's the rule with rides?!
