Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

Congratulation rae and callier!!! It's really cheered me up hearing about your Bfp after a year of trying. I'm at a year in April and was feeling a little bit hopeless. Good to hear a Bfp might still be on its way.

SuchaJem · 16/03/2016 18:38

Thanks inspector, it's not something we've thought about but I see what you mean by a happy medium. I'll have a look into it.

Snowdog37 · 16/03/2016 18:55

A quick hello from across the pond! Congrats to cailler and Rae 💐🎉💐🎉💐🎉💐
We paid out of pocket to see a reproductive endocrinologist earlier this week (not as expensive as I thought/dreaded it would be!) and timed it right for a bunch of blood tests and a procedure called a hystosalpincogram (spelling might be a bit dodgy) which I had today. Found out there and then my tubes are clear and my uterus is "really very nice" so I'm happy about that. My blood tests revealed a couple of issues and I'm now on meds (again, not horrendously expensive!) to tide me over until I get a social security number and can be on dh's health insurance properly in a few weeks. It's nice to know that my bits all look good, my blood tests are being dealt with, etc. he recommended we carry on and then come see him if no luck in 3 cycles. Apparently the hsg can boost fertility for the first few cycles afterwards so I really hope we will get lucky! Loving it here, it's sunny today and feeling spring like. Driving around different towns trying to get a feel. Some of the nicer ones are way expensive which is a bummer. But really even the ones we can afford are in pretty nice towns. Went to the beach over the weekend. Gorgeous just gorgeous. 🌞😊

Cailler · 16/03/2016 19:03

I'm pleased to have cheered you up Bluebird. The odds of conceiving and then that little egg implanting are actually pretty shitty so people who concieve quickly are super lucky, I so hope that you get yours soon too. And the nice thing for all of us who are still yet to have our first baby is that it's all still to come for us; the excitement of telling people, being pregnant for the first time, the cute newborn stage, first smiles etc. We've still got all of that to come.

Thank you all for your lovely messages today. What a lovely bunch!

Evergreen15 · 16/03/2016 19:03

Snow Smile[waves] nice to hear from you!! Grin and so jealous of your life in MA Smile It is so beautiful there.
Glad to hear your pipes are all clear Wink

I am sometime between the end of one AF and the next one in my cycle, no idea where.

Can someone share here which cheapo opks they buy? My last batch was rubbish!

Snowdog37 · 16/03/2016 19:08

We went to Cranes beach Ever I don't know if you know it but wow it is stunning, there's boardwalks to hike through sand dunes and then the beach itself is amazing. I'd like to live there but the houses are stupid money! Also went to Faneuil Hall and ate our body weight in foods from all over. Yum!

Snowdog37 · 16/03/2016 19:09

Oh and I bought the Clear Blue opks that show a high and a peak (flashy smily and solid smily) I figured they'll be easier to interpret than the darkness or not of a line on an ic.

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 19:28

Thanks vix, will let you guys know how it goes! Callier, you have inspired me too with your 11dpo success! Huge congratulations!

(Am I the only one who reads everyone's congrats in a cheesey 'Congratulations caller!' As if it's a phone in?!)

I sympathise Jem, I really do. We were all ready to buy a house before I decided to start teacher training. We'd chosen a house and were about to put an offer in when I got accepted on the course. Had to put it off for a year and live with my parents until I graduated. It was a huge choice and I don't know how well my DH coped with it, he didn't say much but think he felt rather squashed by it. Best decision I ever made though. I do think things happen at the right time, I really do. Even if I'm the most impatient person ever most of the time!

Hey Snow, glad to know you've got a nice uterus!! Fingers crossed very tightly for you!

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 19:49

Err

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 19:49

So I'm 11dpo...

SuchaJem · 16/03/2016 20:07

Oh jamjar!! Hooray for you that is fabulous news :)

A lovely crop of bfps we've had of late!

SuchaJem · 16/03/2016 20:08

Ooh many symptoms too?

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 20:14

Hardly anything- just very sensitive nipples!

Omg girls, it's such a bizarre feeling. It's so weird to stare at white spaces in that little box for months, reading about everyone's BFPs and feeling guilty about being so jealous, all the while wondering what it will be like when (and if) it will actually be your turn. Then suddenly something appears and it seems like you've actually gone mental.

Maybe I have?! I'm trying not to get too excited because it's so early but just the fact that it can happen is huge.

Cycle 5- there's hope for us old members in the thread!

SuchaJem · 16/03/2016 20:15

Ahhhh mate that's brilliant :) Is your DH around too?

HepKestrel · 16/03/2016 20:16

Congratulations jamjar ! Flowers

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 20:22

Yes, I literally waited for an advert break, ran upstairs and did it without thinking too much about it. Then stood there hyperventilating as it came up straight away. Composed myself, casually walked into the lounge and DH was just sitting there with a bit of KFC in his hand looking at me weird (like I said, I probably looked mental) and I held up the stick. He said 'What?....... Oh!!' Then threw his chicken in the bucket and hugged me. Got all excited with me looking at a possible due date and checking it, then told me off for being too excitable.

So romantic lol.

Snowdog37 · 16/03/2016 20:24

Yay jam 🎉💐🎉🎉🎉🎉💐 I'm cycle 5 now and a somewhat oldie too so you've boosted my morale! Congrats!!!!!

Evergreen15 · 16/03/2016 20:36

Jam! Omg congratulations!!! Cycle 5 will be my next cycle!!! GrinGrin
There is hope!
Ahhh KFC was set aside for a hug! That is a big gesture WinkSmile

Evergreen15 · 16/03/2016 20:46

Snow I dont know that beach but the bits of that part of the world that I have seen are gorgeous

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 20:47

Haha, yes it was a big gesture! I now feel bad for eating it though. Healthy diet kick start starts now!

If anyone wants to know...
Cycle 1-2 Ovia and FF, checking CM, DTD every 2 days, no alcohol, a fertility friendly lube
Cycle 3-4 same as before but both took Wellman and Pregnacare tablets every day and used Preseed
Cycle 5- no Ovia or FF, no CM checking, DTD whenever, both drinking a lot of booze, taking tablets and using preseed. Just generally being much more casual seems to have worked maybe?

SuchaJem · 16/03/2016 21:03

I am going to stop beating myself up about the odd glass of wine!

Bless your DH ditching his chicken :)

Jamjar12 · 16/03/2016 21:13

Haha, yeah definitely. Now I'm glad I had cocktails as it will be a long time hopefully til I can have them again. Used an IC and the line is so faint, definitely recommend the Superdrug tests.

Evergreen15 · 16/03/2016 21:15

Jam I had lots of beers when on my hols Grin maybe this is my lucky cycle Smile

vixarooni · 16/03/2016 21:29
