Thank you all for well wishes. TBH I feel like shit. Bad sleep again (smoke alarm saga continues) and I went into work to pick up laptop and handle something urgent. Did not leave until 1pm as waiting for consultant to call - I only just spoke to her. In meantime I have got a bit more educated about next steps and tomorrow I will go to an early pregnancy unit to either start medically managed miscarriage or book an op. Either way I will try and get another scan.
My boss knew and I have emailed her to tell her I am taking time off. Still waiting to hear back.
Knackered and despondent. Have eaten 3 donuts so far.

taydex · 20/04/2016 20:27

Nooooo! Oh Kwick I am so so sorry to hear that honey Sad Why is this all so fcuking hard at times? Life can be a bitch and needs a smack in the face.

I'm so sorry I didn't see your message sooner. For some reason I don't appear to be getting the update emails.

Please please please let us know if there's anything we can do to help. Big hugs sweetie xxx

taydex · 20/04/2016 20:29

Oh, and please look after yourself (and yes, that means eating lots of donuts!). Thinking of you for tomorrow xxx

INeedNewShoes · 21/04/2016 07:37

Kwick I'm so sorry. It's just so unfair. You poor thing Flowers

Be kind to yourself and make sure you take some time off to look after yourself.

Life is so cruel sometimes. You can come here and rant at us if it helps.

You will get through this.

pickle162 · 21/04/2016 20:45

How did today go kwick, thinking of you sweetheart xx

talulahbelle · 22/04/2016 17:56

Jumping in to say hi - is there anyone else waiting to cycle?

We've one donor conceived daughter, and we are currently awaiting tests to begin a second round of IVF. Lots of my NCT group are pregnant or have had their second and every new baby and pregnancy announcement makes me incredibly broody.

Since stopping feeding in mid Feb I've had two periods but 60 days between them - I'm waiting for my 3rd (CD19) so I can get the start of cycle tests done but I think it's going to be another long one as there's no sign of OV yet. Our consultant appointment is the start of June.

I'm currently on a cocktail of supplements, not drinking (although with a toddler I've a rubbish social life anyway) and trying to exercise regularly.

Kwick709 · 22/04/2016 18:57

Thanks lovely ladies. I had the procedure today and have been well looked after by my mum - she has just left so I am going to fantasise on dinner now, although really only just had lunch. Feel like shit.
Will defo be off work for a week but tbh may ask for longer to avoid travel.
Feeling a little more positive:
A) this proves I can get preggers
B) I have longer to lose weight
C) I have longer to save

Welcome talu
What supplements are you taking?

talulahbelle · 22/04/2016 19:24

Oh kwick I'm so sorry, I just read your post. Be gentle with yourself. I've had a lot of losses (3 after IVF, including one cornual ectopic) and they are all horrible.

Nothing amazing supplement wise - Vit D3, co-enzymeQ10, DHEA, and folic acid. Reading some of the previous posts there's a load of dietary stuff like full fat dairy I might start adding in too.

taydex · 22/04/2016 19:26

Hi Kwick - Good to hear from you again. Sounds like a good idea to have a bit more time off work. Make sure you are better and back on your feet again. I love your PMA. Take care of you please sweetie x

Hey Talulah - welcome to the thread. Lovely to hear from someone who's proof that it can work. A friend of mine is in same situation as you. Stopped feeding in Feb but having erratic periods with long time between. I hope they settle down soon. Best of luck and let us know when AF arrives. TMI? I don't think there's such a thing on here!

StorkAhoy · 22/04/2016 19:40

Ah kwick glad your mum took care of you and what's for dinner? I just got back from NYC and am looking forward to several days of homemade soup to restart the weightless and banish all the beige food that is so readily available in the States!

I hope the procedure wasn't as horrible as I imagine. And you know what, looking at the positives after something like this is admirable and inspirational, well done you, many wouldn't be able to.

Could work take you off the travel rota for a little while while you recover, like light duties?

Welcome Talulah, your name mad me smile as Tallulah-Belle is the name of my furbaby! You are in super company! And it's such a great name! Wink

talulahbelle · 22/04/2016 19:54

Stork talulahbelle are both names that have been vetoed by DH for any offspring. So I get to use them instead :)

StorkAhoy · 23/04/2016 06:37

If I didn't love her so much I would be upset that I had already used those names. I guess it's wrong to call a baby and dog the same thing right?.....

Cloudburn · 23/04/2016 07:34

Sorry I've been offline. Been a bad week for migraines.

Kwick darling, I'm so sorry! I've just been reading your messages. I'm heartsore for you darling. Sending you virtual massive hugs! I think looking at the positives is very healing, but feel whatever you feel hun, there's no right or wrong and only time will really heal it. Thinking of you. Flowers

Talulah welcome to the group! Nice to have you along. Smile

Right after five days of migraine in one week, with no painkiller, I am totally over it. Today seems to be better and I've been sleeping on and off for the better part of the last 36hours(!!) so fingers crossed its over, at least for now.

Kwick709 · 23/04/2016 09:03

Thanks again lovely ladies.
I opted for a general anaethetic so not at all aware of what happened - thank God! And I am pleased not to have gone with other options - At least now I can concentrate on healing.
I am starting back with coq10 supplements today (but a higher dose and in the form of ubiquinol) will also re-start force feeding of walnuts and look up the rest of the dietary things.
I found whole milk drunk in copious amounts helped with egg quality... But what do I know right?

Did any of you watch the second episode of the portland hospital thing? Amazeballs what they did with that ladies ovary... I just dont't think her hubby was giving her enough "lurving"!!!

cloud good to hear you are better after your migraine Flowers

pickle162 · 23/04/2016 09:20

Welcome tallulahbelle
Sorry you've been so poorly cloud
Glad everything went ok kwick well done on the PMA. Do you have to give your body a little while to heal before you try again?were any of eggs frozen from last month. Do you get to see the counsellor at the clinic before any other treatment

Happy weekend everyone x

Cloudburn · 23/04/2016 09:53

Right, so I can now add fainting to my ever growing list of symptoms. Confused Felt weird after my shower and just wanted to lie down. I managed to make it to my bed just before everything started to go white. This is new...

Kwick glad to hear you did general. I know it has its own risks but a good friend of mine did it under local as says she'd never do it again. Hopefully neither of you will need to!

taydex · 23/04/2016 11:09

Yes, I watched the second episode of the Portland hospital thing. Very cool what they did with that lady's ovary. The body is one clever old thing!

Cloud - hope you're feeling better soon. You take care of you and that little bean please.

Cloudburn · 23/04/2016 12:56

Working on it! Wink

talulahbelle · 23/04/2016 18:02

Thanks for the welcome :)
I do feel a bit of a fraud posting here. Other than waiting for AF and remembering to take supplements there's not a lot else to do at the moment.

kwick I hope you are looking after yourself. Have you considered DHEA for egg quality? There's a promising study somewhere - 75mg a day in 3 doses. Apologies if it doesn't apply to you.
You would have to get it online as its not sold over here - I use Biovea.

cloud fainting sounds unpleasant. At least you lay down first I guess!

talulahbelle · 23/04/2016 18:04

I should probably add DD is donor egg, but we are (stupidly?!) going to try a cycle with my eggs if possible. Hence all the supplements.
We've a family history of POF but I'm hoping to get one good egg. And if the blood tests say no then it's back to donor egg.

StorkAhoy · 23/04/2016 19:03

Ahoy chaps!

I am loving the Portland programme. So interesting, it's like the Polar opposite of One Born Every Minute!

So, I'm taking Zita West fertility supplements, and in the last three weeks I've noticed my sense of smell has gone crazy, and at times I'm a bit or a lot nauseated, and I've pretty much gone off coffee. Has anyone had any random symptoms like that?! Obvs not pregnant, but those supplements and the acupuncture are the only things that are new in the past month.....

Kwick709 · 25/04/2016 14:47

I seem to have developed an allergic reaction to anti MRSA lotion. Have itchy broken skin on tummy... Feeling very sorry for myself Sad
