Kwick709 · 28/03/2016 13:07

You are sooooo funny cloudburn on the one hand you are telling me I am defo preggers and on the other you do 2 (not 1 but 2( HPTs!!!!!! Wink
They are beautiful strong lines - your HCG is sky rocketing!!!

I had a call earlier from the DH of my cousin with twins - offering me all their baby stuff... I had to try very hard not to blub down the phone to him. So, so thoughtful!

You see shoes you have symptoms.... moi all I have is a sore bum (that reminds me time for another cyclogest dose) and bruising all over my tummy and bum!!!!

Off to have Monday lunch with family. May allow myself a splurge at the poundshop on the way Blush

Hiya ladies, I haven't been very talkative the last few days - it's been mayhem here!

Still getting pains where my cyst is, and on the other side - anyone want to have a guess as to why this could be? Hmm... Pains are definitely getting worse, I was in agony Saturday night!

How are all you ladies doing? I've skim read all of your posts and I'm glad to see that your tests Kwick and Cloud have came back as a strong positive - good to keep your mind at rest, eh?!

Taydex are you enjoying your break away? :)

Kwick709 · 28/03/2016 17:39

caution have you been to Doctor's about the pain? if not please do so tout suite! I do not think you should be suffering so much... why cant they fast track you?

I am proud that I did a bit of a clear out and have put some stuff on ebay - if it does not sell then it will go to charity. I need to keep on doing this... and clearing through all my papers (yes I am one of those crazies who hoards everything!!!!)

I had a nice time at Poundland - they had my favourite tissues in!!!! What luck! I may have bought a box of Maltesers and liquorice torpedos

Nope, I haven't Kwick - I don't think there's anything else they can do for me, so I'm not quite sure whether I should go or not. I have an appointment on 28th April, but that's four weeks away still. I don't want it to rupture during that time either... Not quite sure why I'm getting so much pain. My painkillers take the edge off but don't take the pain away completely. I hate having to second guess what my body is doing!!!

Don't worry about being a hoarder - I'm a hoarder too! I find loads of junk in my house but I can't part with it. And the carrier bags I have, I could be a millionaire Grin!

Kwick709 · 28/03/2016 17:58

Caution I am worried about you - please promise me you will try and see your GP again this week?

OP posts:
CautionHormone · 28/03/2016 19:14

Aw bless you Kwick - there's no need to worry! I promise I'll see my GP at some point this week. I've spoken to my Nans cousin who is a gynaecology nurse and she said it may be twisted but it's impossible to tell without a scan... So I think I'll have to go!! X

Kwick709 · 28/03/2016 19:42

OMG I just did the pregnancy calculator... I am 5 weeks and 3 days... gulp!!!!

caution glad you will see GP again - please keep us posted.

OP posts:
CautionHormone · 28/03/2016 23:21

Aww Kwick, 5 weeks!! Soon you'll be 35 weeks!! It'll come round so quickly! When's your due date, have you worked it out yet??
I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm getting a bit concerned myself so I suppose I'll have to go! Just don't want to bug them Hmm

Cloudburn · 29/03/2016 10:17

Caution there is no 'bugging' when it comes to your health. :) You have to demand what you need, until someone takes it seriously.

I'll always remember a good friend of mine who went to hospital with some pains, and they told her it as something simple and to go home and it would sort itself. The pain didn't, she knew something wasn't right so she went back and insisted they did more tests. They eventually agreed and discovered she had early stage cancer.

Now, that's not to scare you, or get you worrying more (I'm sure what you have won't be that serious!), but because she listened to her body and insisted when she knew something was wrong, they found the problem early, treated it and she's now 3 years clear. If she'd just accepted what they said first time, and accepted the pain, it would be a very different story.

No-one knows your body like you do. Not even your doctor. Go tell them what it's doing! Smile

#lectureover

CautionHormone · 29/03/2016 14:08

Cloud, I'm sorry to hear about your friend Sad I'm glad she's 3 years clear though - that's fantastic.

I totally get what you're saying. Pain is a way of your body telling you something is wrong - and I suppose if the pain is persistent you should listen to it.

Which is why I've got a doctors appointment today at 5:10pm, because I had a bad night. Whenever I laid straight in my sleep id wake up because of the pain, even though I'd had painkillers. They'll probably just fob me off (as they usually do) but it's worth going just to see.

Thank you. I'll keep you updated Smile

Cloudburn · 29/03/2016 16:29

Well done lady!! Don't leave till they give an answer you trust. Smile

Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 17:53

Talking of pain I appear to have done something to my hip... I did sit a bit funny on the bus this morning and I do have issues in multiple places on my person.... I am hoping it is not related to the fact I injected my upper thigh yesterday as bum sites too sore...

How did you get on caution?

OP posts:
taydex · 29/03/2016 19:39

Gosh you ladies have been busy since I've been stuck in the arse end of nowhere in a village that modern technology such as phone and WIFI signal forgot... Don't get me wrong, it is really lovely but I am missing the Internet. Sad hey?

Anyway, on my phone so bear with me...

Oh Kwik I feel for you with all those injections and squirting various creams and lotions and potions into your orifices! That can't be fun. I only have Crinone once a day and I find that chore enough. Bear with it sweetie, it will all be worth it in the end, I promise. And hopefully your own Progesterone will kick in soon and you can reduce the dose. I have a great day by day book at home. I will look it up when we get back. I'd recommend it.

Shoes - I find the same, feel sick if I get hungry so am just eating like a horse. I am definitely getting bigger (some jeans are tight) but not for the right reason!

Cloud - I agree re ASOS, they appear to be one of the best for maternity clothes. I got a couple of bits from there, ends up it's New Look stuff. Wouldn't normally necessarily shop there but the stuff I got seems quite good.

Right, next page...

Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 19:56

Taydex and Cloud there is no way I can buy from ASOS being a plus size already!!! I really need to lose some weight like yesterday!

I felt very queasy this morning but I think it was nerves about a work issue. I need to learn to not get so stressed but HOW?????????

I really would just like to have some symptoms... I am getting worried this is all in my head. I always thought I would just know if I was preggers but I am just worried that it has all been a hoax...

OMG can you believe I did not set my SkyPlus for the BakeOff Creme de la creme and it starts now!!!! Good catch kwick!!!

OP posts:
pickle162 · 29/03/2016 21:05

How did the Drs go caution?
Kwick did you watch Creme de la Creme, I thought it was fab, can't wait for next weeks
Taydex-welcome back to land of wifi, when we go away at Xmas now we always make sure we have wifi now as we realised we can't go a week without it esp if mobile signal is crappy too-so weird isn't it-15years ago we barely even had mobiles Hmm

Kwick709 · 30/03/2016 07:52

pickle it was great :) BTW are you going to watch "Battle Chefs" on W? I am not sure when it starts but want to give it a go.

pickle162 · 30/03/2016 08:13

Ooh I hadn't seen that advertised-I'll hunt it down when in from work. Thanks :)

Cloudburn · 30/03/2016 21:51

Kwick you may well be one of those fortunate women who don't actually get many symptoms, though more than likely it's still just early and you'll be saddled with them soon enough!

Yesterday I got to add nausea to the ever growing list. All. Day. Nausea. Similar to you Taydex eating is about the only time it goes away. However I read that you apparently only need an extra 200-300 calories a day, and that's just in the last trimester, which was less than I expected, so trying not to go overboard.

I also read though that things start to get better in the second trimester so I'm damn well looking forward to that!

Caution how did it go at the doc? What did they say?

CautionHormone · 30/03/2016 22:31

Hi ladies! Grin

So, went to the doctors and he seemed concerned that I was having pains and checked my notes blah blah blah, but he said he wanted to rule out a water infection first... And whaddya know?! I have a bad water infection! He said I had a lot of proteins and nitrates in my urine ( whatever that means Hmm ) but said he's not completely dismissing the fact it could be my cyst giving me pain also. I'm on antibiotics for ten days and he said if I'm still getting pain to go back...

Thank you for the concern ladies, I appreciate it. And Kwick, Cloud? Thank you for telling me to go! I probably wouldn't if it weren't for you two, and im glad I did :) x

taydex · 30/03/2016 22:40

Hey ladies,
Giving this a try again. I keep losing messages as the WIFI signal here keeps randomly disappearing. Not impressed as we specifically chose a cottage with WIFI. Anyway...

Please don't worry about the symptoms, getting them or not. We are all different and our bodies behave in different ways. All I had till 6 weeks ish was slightly tender boobs (when I took my bra off in the evening). It wasn't till about then I started getting nauseous. Still feeling a bit weird with food and hungry a lot of the time. Getting used to it though and hopefully will start to subside soon (apparently around week 12 if not before - and that's only just over 2 weeks away eek!). Now how did that happen?! Conscious that I am eating way more calories than I should but I guess saving some with the no booze so it can't all be bad. Feeling a bit fat and bloated. Might just be all the cake chocolate and biscuits. In denial here.

Still at nearly 10 weeks I can't believe it. I can't believe it is real after all this time trying. Doesn't feel real. I wonder when it will...

TD x

Cloudburn · 30/03/2016 23:39

Well done Caution on making it happen! I'm glad the doctor you saw took it seriously. Fingers crossed the antibiotics do the trick and you start to feel better real soon!

Oh my gosh Taydex! 10 weeks already!! That's so wonderful!

It's funny, I've never know a week to take as long as it does now! 7 week scan next Wednesday.

Oh, while I remember ladies, if you're pregnant, you should go to your doctor and get a Maternity Certificate. It basically entitles you to free prescriptions for the duration of your pregnancy (and sometime thereafter). I don't think you have to wait until a certain week, so if you get prescriptions it's worth a visit.

INeedNewShoes · 31/03/2016 00:31

Hmm. I saw my GP today and didn't think to ask for the maternity certificate. Do you think the receptionist could give me it?

Caution glad you've had a useful appointment. UTIs can be very painful indeed so it is a plausible explanation for the pain.

Kwick it's very early days for symptoms. I'd rather not have any really given that high HCG early on isn't necessarily a good thing and HCG is presumably the culprit causing the symptoms. In all honesty I think I'm only going to be happy once I've had a scan and hopefully can be told that everything is ok. I've got a bee in my bonnet about ectopic pregnancy for some stupid reason (which predates Taydex mentioning it).

It feels like a game of keeping all the different emotions in balance: excitement, fear, hope, anxiety, desperation... argh!!

Hope you're enjoying your holiday Taydex even if the wifi is a bit iffy!
