First time TTC - join me on this journey

Hi all, this is my first time TTC and would be grateful for anyone else who wants to join this journey with me until I get a BFP.

I have been using the Period Diary app to track my ovulation/fertility dates. I have a period that lasts 6 days and usually my cycle is approx 27days. According to the app my ovulation date was yesterday (13th Feb). We have tried twice before this date.

Wondering if there are any others which have had successful pregnancies using solely apps? Or if they have any tips on identifying ovulation?

Would love to share the highs and lows with you lovely people on this journey x

So I'm in my 2ww! ! Driving me insane! Ovia says 8 days until I can test! 8 Days!!! Ugh I hate this.

That's good news about the test Blondie.at least you can get to the bottom of the problem if there is one!

Hello all and thanks. It's been a shitty few days but husbands 30th bday today so it's taken my mind off things!

The waiting to test is a bugger! I hated it but if this has taught me anything it's wait as long as possible xx

Sorry to those of you not having much luck.. Only ever had one MC and didn't actually know I was pregnant at the time, cant imagine what it's like to have a BFP and then have it taken away 😞👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 hugs to you all.

Harpsichord - omg good luck! Worst wait but resist the urge! Testing early always leads to disappointment! Fingers crossed.

I relied on Ovia for first cycle and now suffering with awfully heavy painful AF. always like clockwork but suffer when it comes. Going to try ovulation sticks for cycle #2... Any body else use them??

Fuzy - I've been using the OPK sticks for the past year now, buying them from Zoombaby.co.uk. Starting OPK from CD10 and I'm usually OV on CD13
I'm in CD9 today and leaving Iraq tonight in time for DTD :-) fingers crossed

Harpsichord - try to wait till it's safe and more reliable to test. I know how impatient this wait can be but scientifically, it's better to wait. Good luck!

I used opk's from amazon along with ovia, and it worked 3rd cycle. It was a relief to know I was actually ovulating after being on the pill for so many years!

I'm going to the EPU today, I felt I should still go even though it's all gone. My thinking is they can at leat put mind at rest that I'll be ok to start again.

I'm ok yeah. I was only pregnant for a week I think, but I had the whole 9 months mapped out! I can't imagine what a mc any later would be like im getting over it now. I had a 3 beers last night woke up with a stinking headache, I think I'll try and stay off the booze from now on

I've decided to take the plunge! I'll take my last pill on Sunday (didn't want to quit mid pack) and then as soon as I've had my first AF I think it will be all systems go, so to speak.

Is it just me or are the weeks dragging as soon as I decided to go for it.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Sparks. I have only known since Sunday but am 6+4. I'm trying not to worry but it's difficult not to. I hope all goes well for you when you try again and good luck to all the other ladies.

I had what they call a chemical pregnancy. The hospital confirmed it today, it means I can go ahead and try again straight away though so that's good!!

Is there anything you're particularly worried about? Don't Google anything if you can help it! x

That's good news for you I'm glad to hear that! I think it's just the unknown because it's our first one. Not knowing what is normal etc but I'll get there! I think I need to stop googling things and just let things happen :)

How's everyone today? So I've been feeling super tired this week. And today just sitting around feeling REALLY nauseous . But could be something else...when I had some health issues last year I had nausea. Trying not to read anything into these signs. Still 5 days till I should test! I have a rest at home answer it's so hard not to get it out just to have a go lol! Luckily the next few days are going to be busy so I should keep my mind off of it...

Oops so many mistakes in that. Lol. I have a test at home so hard not to pull it out and test! Is what I meant to say.

I was nauseous just after a had my BFP so fingers crossed for you!!

I've had mad headaches for 3 days now probs just hormones after the chemical. Can't wait to start trying again .

Just had row with DH about him taking some ttc vitamins he just doesn't get how all consuming this can be I want us to be as healthy as possible x

Slip it into his food! Lol apparently 2 Brazil nuts once a day are enough of a boost for men. Has lots of zinc and selenium which is what men need! This nausea is not going away! Nearly hurled twice today

Was made redundant yesterday and landed in the Blighty this morning. And now it's all about DTD and TTC for a baby #1! No Iraq or work related issues and stress involved! Hopefully will be positive before I know it!

Haha well if I could get him to eat anything as healthy as a Brazil nut I wouldn't mind, he doesn't really do healthy food!

That sounds like a very good sign even if it's an it's a rubbish symptom x

Hey ladies! Just wanting your opinions. On CD 39, AF is 9 days late. Stopped BC November of 2015, but took it for 4 years and had irregular periods before I started it, been TTC for 2 months with husband stationed 2,300 miles away until June 😢 Two BFN's at 6 days and 7 days after AF due. Usually on time for AF and never more than 5 days late. Did some travel and had a kidney stone 2-3 weeks ago, could this be why AF is so late? Been nauseous every day, and gasy (sorry TMI), plus I eat everything in sight (especially ice cream 😜) and been having headaches. Some symptoms are the same for my periods and what is normal for pregnancy, so it confuses me every time! Thank you all for your help 😊

Hi Sunflower, im new to all of this also! Have you tested again what was the outcome?
We're going to start trying again this week did an opk today and had a faint line I think that means negative but can't hurt! Wish me luck

Hey all- everyone's gone quiet for a few days! Not much to report here- on CD29 so assume AF should be coming soon (usually around a 30-35 day cycle, but last month was a surprise 38 instead!), so god knows! Trying not to get too hopeful though as don't feel any different- I don't usually get many symptoms before AF anyway! Ovia thinks I should get AF on Saturday so will test then if nothing's shown up, as if no BFP, I plan to enjoy the bank holiday weekend
How is everyone else doing?

Hi everybody! On cd33 and ovia say I should test tomorrow. The other fertility apps I have say I should have AF today or yesterday. I normally get a few clues to AF but no sign of those yet. Been feeling nauseous around about 3 pm some days and finding I have to eat little and often today to stop my self feeling sick. But this has happened before so could be phantom symptoms or a sign that my health issues are back...who knows. Will test tomorrow or Thursday. Not getting my hopes up fully expecting A BFN. Who knows!

Hey ladies! I got a BFP today!!!! Still in shock. Can't quite believe it but it now explains a lot of my symptoms! OMG . Spreading baby dust to all! Xx
