Relaxed TTC Feb/March/April 2016

Hi,

We've just agreed to start TTC #1 in March so just starting to look at preparing for that - prenatal vitamins, losing some weight, etc.

I'm 33 and have only been with my OH for just over a year but we're both sure this is the relationship for us...we'll be getting married but want TTC as a priority and fit any wedding around Mother Nature.

Not planning any temp checking or charting or such like....maybe I'll change my mind if I'm not preggers after six months or so!

Anyone planning TTC about the same time and want to keep in touch on this thread for relaxed catch ups about preparing and then TTC?

Aww no, it doesn't at all pointless. I'm not actually trying yet but still get a little jealous if someone announces. Two of my bil's wives are pregnant, my sil and my stepsons mum are all pregnant. All due between July and September. I'm happy for them all but can't help feel a little jealous. X

Theresa, I'm the same, not even trying and still feel very broody. I'd love one with my partner very much, so every time I see someone pregnant my mind does a little wander down the future path. X

I know exactly what you mean, Pointless. I hoping to have a March 17 baby but every time I leave the house I see another pregnant lady or spot someone at work with a baby bump all of a sudden, which makes me even more broody. Should find out in mid April whether I'll be made redundant but I'm probably gonna be on holiday when the announcement is made. Fingers crossed it'll be good news and I can start cracking on with ttc!

Pointless definitely not selfish. I was exactly the same before ds and i'm getting that way now, particularly when people with a little one ds' age announce a second pregnancy. I think it's totally normal.

Hope everyone is ok and congratulations avril. I've been having fun lately, both dh and ds got a nasty bug and ended up with chest infections then Saturday night a recovering ds climbed onto the back of his brick trolley and before dh could stop him fell straight over the handle and faceplanted the trolley! He went scarily sleepy and was hard to rouse so one trip to a and e. Of course by the time the doctor saw him he was charging round like nothing happened and we felt silly for going! Looks like no harm done anyway.
Makes me wonder why I want another one sometimes

I got my DD the chicken pox vaccine due to wanting to be able to spend time with my step dad, who's in chemotherapy. Can't risk her coming down with anything and with the pox it's about a month of not being allowed contact, which is horrible!!

Not selfish at all, pointless, you don't have to be TTC for very long before getting impatient and ever so slightly jealous of pregnancy announcements. But if you do fall soon, think of how great it will be to have so many babies near to the same age!

Jenny, FX for good news! I'm hoping for a March 17 baby, too. May sound silly, but I really think it would be the perfect time to have a baby - stuck indoors under a sleeping/eating newborn while it's still cold out, but still have a baby baby who will happily let you drink pimms in a pub garden during the summer.

I'll be right behind you, Theresa! AF should arrive by the end of this week and then it'll be 28 or 29 days before our May cycle!

Exciting stuff wispa! I'll be due to ovulate around 29th April if my cycles return to normal straight away. They have previously when coming off the pill but who knows x

Official first month of ttc! Exciting, unfortunately my estimated ovulation date means that my EDD would be Christmas Day! If it was to happen this cycle. Too inpatient to wait though. Good luck to everyone!

I got DP to but the clearblue advanced fertility monitor for me so just need to wait til next AF to start using it - will keep you posted !

Exciting to be starting this cycle, Sienna! Don't worry about edd too much, you could be up to 3 weeks earlier or 2 weeks later; chances of a due date baby are so low.

Hi all, I just thought I would check back in an tell you that out relaxed first cycle turned out to be a very successful one and I got my BFP on Friday! I hope you don't mind me sticking around in this thread as I would love to see how you are all getting on?

We were going to hold off ttc this month as we didn't fancy a Christmas baby but we couldn't help ourselves so now starting the tww eek ! x

Thanks HighHopes! That is very exciting. EDD is 3/12, so even if I am late we will have a baby for Christmas! Good excuse to avoid the family politics too ;)

How many days past ov are you?

I'm 4dpo so my Ovia app suggests taking a pregnancy test in 9 days but I'm away next weekend so I might do it one day early!!

Have you noticed many early pregnancy symptoms? How did you tell your OH?

Two weeks two days worth of pills left now, can't describe how excited I am. Really missing being pregnant now and can't wait to do it again. We decided to tell family and close friends we are planning another, have told everyone we aren't ttc until summer though to take some pressure off. Must admit, I'm shocked how many people are already asking if we want another for a boy . Ermm, no, we want another healthy happy child, couldn't care less what gender they are. Also...my husband already has a son and its actually his family that keep asking if we're wanting a boy!!! Just hope that the silly questions don't carry on when I'm pregnant. We found out what we where having with the girls but I promised hubby that if we ever had more we'd have a surprise as he didn't really want to know last time. X

Congratulations Devgal. The 3rd December is a lovely due date-my dd was due on that day two years ago. She was late but still far enough away from Christmas for them to be separate events. It made the run up to Christmas such fun that year!
I'm waiting for AF in just over a week and then I can start trying properly. DD has upped her feeding to about 4 times a day and twice a night though so not feeling confident for regular cycles or ovulation.
