Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Dizzy I don't want to sound preachy but honestly your DP needs to be fully onboard with this, he either wants it or he doesn't and if he does it's about time he started putting in the same effort as you. Why should you carry all the stress? He knows the importance of all the investigations and that you can't move forward with further tests until he does this. He's being rather selfish about it all. You need to have a frank conversation with him kick him into touch. You can be prescribed clomid to boost ovulation and it would be the specialist who would do this.

I've had the opposite issue soda. I'm on cd7 and think AF has finally packed up and left. I'm usually only 5 days.

Hi ladies
Haven't been on for while keeping myself busy! Had a name change (Amanda on other thread) hope your all doing well Smile

Dizzy I got told they had found a cyst after my first baby, I then went on and had another healthy baby until it grew so large they had to remove my ovary! So stay positive if there is a cyst on your ovary but your still ovulating it could still happen! Keeping my FX for you

Well I've took a step back this month, keeping myself busy with all the Xmas preparations [santa]Grin so am thinking going to start a fresh in 2016
GoodLuck to you all this month Thanks

DizzyMerry · 07/12/2015 14:18

Hope you feel better soon magpie Flowers

Wishing you all the best in 2016 bun.

Dizzy I really hope I haven't spoken out of turn. Feeling a bit guilty now!

Rainy34 · 08/12/2015 13:24

Will read back later on but I had two days of brown spotting and when I started taking the vitamin c it has stopped, due af end of the week, I wonder if the vitamin c is helping to stop it x

Sodasoda · 08/12/2015 13:37

How did the chat go with your DP dizzyn? Hope he's booked in. The waiting here is pretty good - DH went to GP yesterday and he's booked an appointment to perform on January 5th. Thats when I'll likely be on AF so we won't be missing any crucial dates as he has to abstain a few days beforehand.

That's interesting rainy. Do you always have spotting before AF? Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/12/2015 18:26

Hi all.

Don't worry dizzym you didn't speak out of turn. The good thing about this forum is its a great place to vent. So I come on here and vent, but rarely mention the good bits about DP. It's only natural you guys would get a bad impression of him! He does want a baby with me, but he's just much more relaxed about it. Like many of us on here, I'm impatient and demanding when it comes to ttc, but at the same time a bit shit at pushing for both of us to get our tests done, in the hope it'll happen naturally. So this is partly my fault too.

thanks for the reassurance wanting (and welcome back!). I'd just be pleased to have some sort of explanation as to why I've never been completely regular, if it's because of a cyst then so be it. Next step will be planning what to do about it I suppose! Did you have any symptoms which the cyst could have caused?

soda the chat went fine thanks. He said I'd never mentioned the long wait for the referral before (I can't remember whether I did or not) and if he'd realised it would be a six month wait he would have made the effort sooner. He's got an appointment in a couple of weeks for another matter so he's going to ask for the referral then.

nightandthelight · 08/12/2015 18:39

So glad that you have a scan sorted Dizzy :) Your DFiance needs to get his act together though!

Congrats kir!

BorisIsBack · 08/12/2015 18:40

Hi all. dizzyn your frustration with your DH is so familiar to me. so frustrating.

I also had my consultants appoitment yesterday. It's possible we are not conceiving because my cycles are too short (23 ish days). This could be a sign that I'm not ovulating properly. Sadly my gp messed up my blood tests and they don't know if I ovulate at all. So I'm having more blood tests, day 21 equivalents on Friday and day 1-3 the following Friday. So by christmas we should know how my body is coping. DHs 2 sperm results have been so wildly variable we can't tell if he's ok or not so he has to go back for test three sometime soon . She's going to refer me for an X-ray in the new year but she says its a formality and probably won't tell us anything. So, blood tests permitting its ivf for us. DH wants to go overseas for this so we are signing up for the Czech Republic in the new year.

Is lucie still around?? Been thinking of her and hope she is ok.

nightandthelight · 08/12/2015 18:58

Are your cycles always 23 days Boris? Mine were occasionally (normal range 23-27 days)

BorisIsBack · 08/12/2015 19:48

Pretty much always 23 or 24 days. One just 17, one 26. If I'm on soy I can get 25 day cycles. She says it's probably either progesterone or I'm not ovulating. I'll know by christmas. Happy Christmas me, I'll find out why I can't conceive.

nightandthelight · 08/12/2015 20:13

Do you temp Boris? Was just wondering whether you know what CD you ov on? Try and focus on knowing what you need to do to get your baby by Christmas :)

Wantingabunintheoven2015 · 08/12/2015 20:15

Dizzy I had terrible pain in my right side which came and went, also when dtd it really was painful (again my right side) Other then that there weren't any other symptoms.
Hope your doing ok, and staying positive SmileThanks

lucieloos · 08/12/2015 20:16

Hi Boris I'm here! Sorry only pop in every now and again. I just wanted to say that my cycles are also short, normally 23 or 24 days but my progesterone level is fine and I'm ovulating. I think anything from around 21 days is considered normal. Cycles length varies from person to person. That last great you are considering Czech. Please let me know if I can help at all.

I'm off for blood tests and a scan with the NHS on Thursday. They have told us we can start ivf in Jan if we want to but I'm going to do one more Czech round to freeze in Jan and then hopefully NHS cycle in Feb or March.

Right off to catch up some more.

BorisIsBack · 08/12/2015 21:24

dizzy I dont temp but from opks and with ovulation bleeding I know if I do ovulate it's on cd 11 or 12.

lucie lovely to read your news. Interesting that you also have short cycles. Will you stick with Reprofit? DH is really keen on them. Did I remembr you saying there is a ff thread for couples going there? I'd like to do some background reading, work out what the practicalities are and advice from others. I'm a bit worried about not having enough annual leave. Did you say you got scans done in the UK? I was wondering how that worked. My memory isn't what it once was so I might be wrong :)

lucieloos · 08/12/2015 21:43

Boris, yes I will be going back to reprofit as all my frozen embies are with them now. There is lots of info on ff. If you search for Czech Republic under the international boards the two main threads are reprofit friends past and present and reprofit cycle buddies. There is also an amazing secret fb group which I have found so helpful we all help each other and I've made some lifelong friends. I can add you to that at some point if you are interested and decide to go ahead.

I always have my scans done in the uk just to save time. You can have them included in the price at reprofit but you would need to spend around 2 weeks out there which I think is too long. The majority of ladies have them done at home and then travel out for collection. If you want a fresh transfer you could get away with spending a week out there or if you are worried about time off work you can do like I do and go out for collection and then freeze the embryos and go back a month or two later for transfer. You could get away with 2 nights a time that way and may even be over the weekend.

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/12/2015 22:45

boris it's about time you had some answers, and whatever the news is, only good is going to come from it. You'll start 2016 knowing exactly where you stand and what is going to happen next. You can put this past year behind you and enjoy Christmas, knowing that 2016 will bring you your bfp Smile

night I know, I know......we both do. I'm on it! Grin hope you're doing well. How far along are you now?

wanting hmmm I don't have any symptoms like yours.......although I did once have a sensation of there being 'something' there near to my left ovary.....however I was being tested for food intolerance at the time so I'd thought it was a bowel issue. I do get the odd sharp pain now and again but it's always after eating so I always just assume it's because I've eaten 'naughty' foods! Oh well, will just have to see what comes out of this scan appointment.

Pixa · 09/12/2015 07:31

Lucie, I hope you don't mind, but I just wanted to give you a quick thanks. We are hopefully heading to have IVF at the beginning of next year. We will get one free round of the NHS. We have been exploring the UK clinics and the eye watering costs. We had heard of treatment abroad and it being so much cheaper but hadn't really looked into it until now. It has given us a whole extra life line so thank you for the prompt.

BorisIsBack · 09/12/2015 07:35

Sorry for monopolising the thread about me last night. Hope you all have a good day. X

nightandthelight · 09/12/2015 08:21

I am 32 weeks now Dizzy :) How are wedding plans going?

So glad to hear that you are going forward with IVF pixa, I have everything crossed for you!

Good luck with your research Boris!

lucieloos · 09/12/2015 08:24

That's ok pixa, glad I could be some help. It really is a lot cheaper abroad and I can honestly say the level of care is better if anything. It sounds a bit daunting at first but it really is so easy once you get going. Wishing you lots of luck.

loopylou1984 · 09/12/2015 11:58

Just re marking my place, will read back later. Xx

Kellz92 · 09/12/2015 14:03

Hi, hope you dont mind me joining! Im CD22 8DPO, Have a load of symptoms that are driving me mad!!! I stupidly did a test this morning, due to hubbys demand and obviously it was a BFN. im not worried about that as its so early. Congrats to all who have had their BFP and Fx for next month to all that are out.

xxx

Pikz · 09/12/2015 14:34

Exciting that so many of you have grand plans in place to kick off in the new year

Sodasoda · 09/12/2015 17:04

You're right pixa lots of (hopefully) exciting things for us all around the corner.

Do cd1 and cd21 blood tests tell you much other than you're ovulating? DH is booked in for SA early January but I'm feeling a bit bad as I haven't booked blood tests yet. I'm happy to but I just wondered whether they would actually tell me anything because I'm pretty sure I ovulate (temping etc)?

Good to see you on here again sammy, how are you getting on?

I'm CD6 at the moment. I actually quite like this time of the month - no mad POAS for ovulation and fretting about DTD, no convincing myself I'm pregnant, just a few glasses of wine and sex when we actually want it 😄

Sodasoda · 09/12/2015 17:05

pikz sorry Blush
