Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Magpie it took me 5 days to have AF from stopping the Norethisterone. Grin

FuzzyOwl · 21/02/2016 11:54

Sorry about AF Genghis

Hope you get your peak soon Kellz

Hope all is ok with you Blue.

Kellz92 · 21/02/2016 13:24

Thanks fuzzy I got a high today. A bit worried as I read that the monitor can sometimes miss peaks and just say high because you need to test in morning. Hoping I'm not out this cycle. Getting symptoms I'm going to ovulate so hoping it's a good sign xx

DizzyMerry · 21/02/2016 13:58

Nomio it's a tefal and my sis loves it too! I'm just find it a faff to fill it with water and then having to wash the small parts and deal with the steam. Maybe I'm just impatient but give me an old fashioned frying pan any day!

Sorry for AF boris but so excited for your upcoming IVF.

Living on a Pacific island sounds amazing ghengis. Completely understand about not wanting to out yourself.

Fx you catch that egg kellz. All the signs point to ov approaching.

Hope you're doing ok blueberry.

I'm expecting AF from Tuesday. Can't wait for it to arrive and we will hopefully make a better attempt at ttc.

FuzzyOwl · 21/02/2016 15:19

Sounds really promising Kellz

Good luck for next cycle Dizzy

loopylou1984 · 21/02/2016 17:48

Just a quick wave, will catch up ASAP! Xx

blueberry549 · 21/02/2016 18:13

Hello all

Thanks so much for all the love you guys, you're all awesome :)

Home now. Spent 5 days in hospital and have zero answers to show for it. :( Am chasing the gynae outpatients appointment through GP but likely to be a fair wait and at least another appointment before I can convince them to do lap as scans didn't really show anything.

Still getting intermittent abdominal pains and spotting (down from bleeding for first 4 days despite high doses of tranexamic acid). Am on a plethora of drugs including tranexamic acid, methanamic acid, paracetamol, nefopam and occasional tramadol! Have major concerns about what this is doing to my cycle and feeling pretty frustrated and hopeless right now.

The whole point of going on the Norethisterone was to 'kickstart' my cycle back into behaving - I can pretty confidently say that was a fail! Nothing to put you off ttc like extreme pain :(

I totally get your frustration Nomio, I'm a bit like that at the moment. Just can't even think about ttc right now. Have a hug and some Cake

Living in the Pacific sounds amazing Genghis I could do with some sun after all this trauma lol

Sorry to hear about the pains Magpie really hope you don't have anything like this and AF gets on with it so you can get back to a 'normal' cycle!

Good luck with IVF Boris! Mega exciting and nerve-wracking i'm sure, we'll be thinking of you xxxx

Sorry about the toaster/egg thingy DizzyM but glad you're happy with your new purchase :)

Hugs to Rainy, Fuzzy, Kellz, sammy, eskimo and anyone else i've missed. Good luck for this/next cycle everyone xxxx

P.s. Genghis I seem to be the queen of long posts so no worries there lol ;)

Nomio23 · 21/02/2016 21:31

Genghis, I wish I lived where you do! I am sure it has its own challenges, but to a rain soaked English girl, it sounds amazing!

I told DH I have been ordered to jump him. I think he loves you girls now! I am assuming I will OV tomorrow, as I always get my positive on day 15, but haven’t even checked this month.

DizzyM, I think it is the same one. My mum & sis are obsessed with theirs, but I am like you, I can’t be bothered with the fiddllyness of it.

Kellz, is it the CB trial monitor you are using. I know a lot of people, including myself, had problems with the accuracy. I would say to go by how you feel. You know what OV is like.

Blueberry, it is amazing how positive you are managing to stay. You so deserve your BFP & I can’t wait to see you get there.

Hi to everyone else. Lurkers, introduce yourselves! Smile

Kellz92 · 21/02/2016 23:24

Thanks dizzy I'm hoping so too!

Fx fuzzy

Blueberry how are you feeling honey?

Hi sammy

Nomio it's the clear blue advanced fertility monitor, I read they can skip peaks. I know I'm going to ov with the cramps, amount of ewcm and just general symptoms, also my temp has dropped quite a bit. Fx .

This cycle I feel really weird, everything feels different. Hoping it's a good sign xx

FuzzyOwl · 22/02/2016 00:13

Glad you are home now Blue

Hoping you get ovulation signs today Nomio

Fx th weirdness is a good sign Kellz

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 22/02/2016 06:02

Thanks for the AF commiserations everyone. Currently feeling quite excited about the doctor tomorrow but also a little bit sad. It's like I finally have to face up to the reality that there must be a problem instead of just hoping against hope every month. Sorry, that probably doesn't make sense!

Fuzzy how are you getting on? Enjoying the 2ww? Grin

Blueberry Glad you got home but sorry to hear that you're still having pains. I really hope you get that appointment soon, especially after going through so much.

Nomio glad you dtd (never thought I'd write that!) and hope you're feeling a bit more positive?

Kellz Hope ov is imminent and that the weirdness is a good sign for this cycle!

DizzyM Obviously I hope that AF doesn't arrive for BFP reasons but if she does, everything is crossed for your next cycle.

Magpie how are you feeling? Any bleeding?

Hope the soy is going well DizzyN? And that you're still relaxed after your holiday Sammy? Hello to everyone else

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/02/2016 08:02

Morning! Sorry I've not been around much, I really can't be arsed with ttc this cycle so I don't feel like I have much to say really. I'm off for a weeks holiday later and I'm even contemplating leaving my trusty old thermometer at home.....just feeling completely indifferent to it all atm.

Hi genghis, I think things went OK with the soy but it's too early to tell. I didn't get any symptoms from it at all. Finished taking it last thurs and I'm now about cd10 (see, I don't even know which cycle day I'm on!!!) so I won't know for a few days if it's had any impact. Sorry to hear af arrived, and I totally understand what you mean about admitting there might be a problem....I buried my head in the sand for the best part of last year. But it doesn't get you anywhere of course. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow!

magpie symptoms must be a good sign, even if they do make you feel shitty! Hope af lands soon for you and your body sorts itself out!

It feels weird to say this twice in one post but I hope af hurries up for you too dizzym and you can crack on, fresh cycle=fresh chance.

It just shows what type of thread this has become when we hoping af arrives sooner rather than later hey!

blueberry what a nightmare, I hope you feel better soon, and don't take no for an answer from them doctors!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/02/2016 08:16

nomio I'm totally with you on the ttc indifference, I wish I had some words of encouragement but it's so difficult to stay motivated isn't it! I keep scaring myself reading other threads (the infertility ones)and it's just making me feel like I'd rather just give up than face another year of disappointment, treatment that doesn't work etc. And I cannot be bothered with another month of stressing about when to dtd and obsessing over every single temp fluctuation! Weirdly though, It kinda feels good having this 'couldn't give a toss' attitude though, don't you think?

boris how's things going with you?

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/02/2016 08:19

Ah boris just saw af got you at the weekend. I hope you're feeling ok about your impending Ivf cycle, no more waiting!

MagpieCursedTea · 22/02/2016 08:38

DizzyN enjoy your holiday, you deserve the break! I think most people hit a low point of not wanting to bother anymore when they've been in it for a while. It can be quite daunting when you get a diagnosis and all you see ahead are tests, procedures and hoops to jump through. Take some time out, have an awesome holiday and come back refreshed.

Genghis no bleeding yet and temp was still up this morning. All the best for your appointment!

Kellz hoping the weirdness of your cycle is a good sign. How was your temp this morning?

Blueberry I'm so sorry that you're not any closer to getting answers. It's so frustrating! Will you be phoning the GP today to chase your gynaecology appointment? Keep pushing them for it!

Eskimo I might get another couple of days reprieve from the bleeding then! How's things with you? How many weeks are you now?

Waves to everyone else, hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Mine was a bit stressful, my DS was taken into hospital yesterday, he's much better today and back home now though.

OP posts:
Kellz92 · 22/02/2016 08:39

I really hope so fuzzy & genghis

Dizzy I. Starting to feel like this!

Nomio still getting high, and since you've also experienced it being inaccurate too I may sell it on next cycle and use cheapies, still getting dull ache in left side, horrendous headache, ewcm. Temp dropped again today!!

Still not sure about temps but this is my chart.

I officially hate ttc

Maybe looking like the preseed was a waste of money! Lol xxx

The Bumsnet Bus: All aboard for destination BFP!
Nomio23 · 22/02/2016 09:56

Kellz, I am not great with charts, but I don't think you have OVd yet. Although your temp doesn't rise until the day after, so it could happen today. Fingers crossed!

DizzyN, that is how I am feeling. We have just been trying for so long & tried so many different things that I don't believe it is ever going to happen naturally. I know what you mean about it being kind of liberating to not really care any more. I think you should probably stop reading the infertility threads though!

Magpie, I hope DS is ok. That sounds terrifying.

Blueberry, I hope you feel a bit better today, lovely.

FuzzyOwl · 22/02/2016 10:03

No Genghis! I never enjoy the 2ww but at least all of you on this thread make it much more bearable. Hope tomorrow goes well at your appointment and the way I try to look at it is that it is better to be informed - plus there really are lots of things that can be done to help you conceive but you need to speak to your doctor to get that help.

Sorry Kellz but I am not very good at reading charts unless they are the perfect example ones, which nobody ever seems to get in real life.

My confidence of a BFN has reached an all time high and I ordered some Clearblue OPKs last night and will order the Chinese herbs today. I feel that invoking sod's law is my only chance for this month.

How is everyone else today? Blue I hope you are recovering well at home.

Kellz92 · 22/02/2016 10:19

I know I haven't ovulated just hoping that the drop is the dip you get before. Ive never not ovulated so god knows .
Not feeling very well today, really sore head an feeling a bit sick. Since I work on a computer I've just called in sick. Never di that but I need to rest to get rid of it xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 22/02/2016 11:45

Magpie glad your DS is okay - that sounds scary.

DizzyN enjoy your holiday! I hope it's nice and relaxing, and you can have fun without the worry of cd/temps etc etc. Are you heading abroad?

You're right Fuzzy...just wish I didn't have to go in the first place petulant child

Kellz hope you feel better soon!

DizzyMerry · 22/02/2016 12:27

Magpie hope your DS is ok. It's scary and distressing.

Ghengis that does make sense and I too buried my head in the sand for ages. It felt a relief though once the appointments started coming through.

I know how you feel dizzy. I worked out last night that we're on cycle 23 and I honestly feel like I can't be bothered with it any more. I feel
like I've reached the lowest point ever and can't see things changing Sad Enjoy your holiday you deserve a nice and relaxing break.

Fuzzy fx this is your cycle.

Hope you feel better soon kellz. Plenty of rest and Brew Cake Chocolate

MagpieCursedTea · 22/02/2016 13:48

Thanks all. DS is much better than he was this time yesterday thanks to some wonderful doctors and nurses.

Kellz you do seem to have a bit of a temp dip which can happen before ovulation. Do you have the VIP features on FF? I've found overlaying charts quite helpful for looking for patterns like that. Hope you feel better soon!

Fuzzy I hope the law of sod is on your side! Which Chinese herbs have you ordered?

I've started having cramps so I think the norethisterone withdrawal bleed is on it's way.

Kellz92 · 22/02/2016 15:52

Thank you :) feeling slightly better now.

No magpie I don't, maybe something I should look into?

Xxx

MagpieCursedTea · 22/02/2016 17:39

I'm a bit of a geek and enjoy playing around with the stats and features so I signed up to the VIP features last time we were trying then couldn't resist it again this time. I love all the science of it. Worth looking at the features you get and seeing if you're interested, I think it's just another TTC toy.
That actually sounds a bit weird doesn't it...? BlushGrin
