Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

Hey, yeah I'll do a retest on Friday.

How long have you got to wait now x

Woody096 · 24/10/2015 18:18

I am going to test either Friday or Saturday. I am day 31 now! I think AF may arrive before then xx

Annie0369 · 24/10/2015 18:49

Yeah me too. We're in exactly the same boat then!

It's a verrrrryyy long wait. I either want my AF to come so I can move onto the next cycle or a BFP result xx

Pixie1988 · 24/10/2015 22:38

Good luck annie and woody!!
Af due between mon-thurs for me so if it doesn't arrive then I'll be testing at the weekend!!

Xx

Annie0369 · 25/10/2015 12:32

How are you feeling pixie? Any different xx

Woody096 · 25/10/2015 16:57

Booo AF arrived today! Next cycle awaits ??

Annie0369 · 25/10/2015 17:53

Mine showed up today too Woody. 2 weeks to go and we get to do it all again xx

Woody096 · 25/10/2015 18:20

Annie, we really are in the same boat! Two weeks time & then another two of symptom spotting! At least my cycle was a few days shorter this month!x

Annie0369 · 25/10/2015 18:45

I thought the same thing earlier, 4 days early & 4 days closed to another attempt :)

Pixie1988 · 25/10/2015 21:39

Sorry to hear af arrived for you both, keep positive!!

I feel okay, sore boobs which is normal before af is due, don't feel any different.

My friend has invited me to her baby scan next week, feel blessed she has asked but I think it's going to make me feel down, particularly if af has arrived by then x

XL · 25/10/2015 22:48

Sorry Annie and woody fx for next cycle... My af was early this month too!
Back in the fertile window for me!!
Fx for you pixie x

Paige43 · 26/10/2015 08:40

Morning everyone.
I'm on my last day of my window, well I think it's my window anyway lol. Last few cycles have been a bit over the place. For only the second time I got EWCM ( the only other time i had it was when i didn't know what it meant and we misses the window. The other times before was just a wet feeling) i was pleased to see it although I only saw it once and wasn't alot, so not sure if i ovulated. Not feeling overly confident, but should remain positive. The TWW is about to begin!

When I've ovulated slightly later my period has always come slightly later ljomrs so maybe your period will be late??

I had fought so had today to not go out and buy a test, getting so impatient! X

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join! I've just read all 20 pages of posts on here, what a roller coaster! Congratulations to all the ladies who've had their BFPs.
I'm 28, married for 2 months and been with my partner for 10 years and we are just about to start trying. I'm a teacher so even though I've been desperate to start straight after the wedding, I didn't want a baby in the summer holidays as it counts as precious maternity leave! AF has just arrived and I've just got to wait for one more cycle before we start. It's going so slowly, just can't wait!
Most of my friends already have children and all conceived within their first 2 months so my expectations are ridiculously high. Trying really hard to keep a cool head about it and just see what happens.
I've started taking folic acid, given up alcohol and started on a healthy diet. Is there anything else I need to be doing to help my chances?
Good luck to everyone else!

Annie0369 · 27/10/2015 20:05

Welcome Holly!

I'm also 28, most of my friends have kids or they fall pregnant first time, so I also know the pressure!

My family have had lots of issues in the past with pregnancies so I'm hoping I skipped that part of the gene.

I did some research on fertility foods to eat when trying too concieve so that helped with me.

I also found it interesting today as I found out that if you use anti-decongestant meds then that will effect your CM which is obviously V important for us ladies so if any of us become Ill then we'll just need to brave it out!

:) x

Paige43 · 28/10/2015 09:06

Welcome Holly x

Hollyberry12 · 28/10/2015 11:55

Thanks Annie! I've been to lunch this week with a 7 month pregnant friend, been swimming with a friend and her 4 month old and I'm seeing a friend with her 2 year old at the weekend. It's very hard to deal with sometimes as I'm so happy for them but constantly having to keep the green eyed monster at bay inside me lol.

What type of foods are you eating?

Pixie1988 · 28/10/2015 12:24

Welcome holly

I know what you mean by best friend is 6 months pregnant and when people keep constantly saying when you having a baby I feel like screaming we are trying but it hasn't happened yet! But instead I smile and say concentrating on getting the house finished first.

Is it weird that I don't get ewcm??

Xx

Hollyberry12 · 28/10/2015 16:11

Hi Paige and Pixie ??

Yeah I've said to a few people that we are going to start trying soon but I've kind of shot myself in the foot saying that as I know people are going to be asking. Me and my over eager big mouth!

Not sure about the ewcm, I get quite a lot (sorry if tmi!) but I don't get any pain. Do you? I've bought a bunch of ovulation tests to try out this cycle so I know what I'm doing a bit more next cycle when we start. It all seems really confusing!

MissClarke86 · 28/10/2015 18:33

Hi ladies, am I okay to join? I've posted in a few other threads, but this one seems particularly friendly :) Like holly (I think!) I read all 20 pages eagerly! So pleased for those that got their BFPs.

I stopped the pill a couple of weeks ago and am not yet tracking anything (as I haven't had anything to track!) but we are DTD without any protection and seeing what happens. I'm also a teacher, and it's half term so I've found myself reading obsessively about conception!!

OH is not as excited as me but said "Maybe you should stop taking the pill" a few weeks ago and I jumped at the suggestion...trying not to "rush" but once you've got the idea in your head it's hard not to obsess isn't it!?

I am worried that OH will not be as excited as me if I fall pregnant...he'll be 'okay' with it as we've talked about it and been together a long time, and he suggested stopping the pill, but I don't think he'll get used to the idea of being a dad until it actually happens. And I know he's worried about how our lifestyle will have to change. Does anyone else have an OH like that? It takes the fun out of it a little bit a I'm avoiding talking to him about it and pressuring him, but I feel like now is the right time for me and I could wait forever without him being "ready"!

Sorry for going on..! That's why I'm seeking out friendship on these forums, it will be nice to have others to talk to ( and obsess with!!)

Woody096 · 28/10/2015 19:06

Welcome ladies!

I am sure your OH will be very excited once you fall pregnant MissClarke. Maybe he is unsure how long it will take & will be overjoyed once you get a BFP?

My DH is pretty obsessed about TTC, it's nice in a way but also a bit of burden as I ended up feeling bad when AF turned up, so not sure which is worse? Too much interest or not enough? X

Paige43 · 28/10/2015 20:04

Hi MissClarke86! Welcome.

Pixie ive only notice egcm once in 4 months, so i dont really get it. Sometimes i do get OV pains well i think they are anyways lol
