Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

How are you all doing? AF is due in 11 days (sadly I have a 35 day cycle) and feel like I am slightly going mad with symptom spotting! Gah! How are you ladies coping with the wait? Xx

I have a 35 day cycle too & in your exact same situation. My hormones are crazy at the moment & I have symptoms that could be a build up to AF or a BFP. Trying to remain level headed though x tough time in the 2ww

Thanks Annie0369 in a shellfish way it's good to hear from someone in the same boat. I normally have Af symptoms from day 28 but this time rounds it's been from day 17! Crazy! My DH thinks I am mad!

Completely agree, This is my first cycle trying so for the first time I'm really paying attention to how I'm feeling, as Much as it's an exciting week waiting it's also annoying because is AF is going to arrive then I'd rather she hurried up so I can get over it and try again lol xxx

I know what you mean, this our second cycle, first one I completely missed my window! Doh! I pretty much experience every pregnancy symptom in the run up to my AF so I just need to wait it out! Good luck xx

Well... Not really sure what's going on this month. Normally AF is 5 days however I'm spotting on day 7. .

Hopefully it will settle down although who knows when my window will be now!

I am too!! Don't think we conceived this month but that's OK! So excited to finnnaallly be on the journey with my husband! ! Good look to everyone :)

I've noticed all sorts of pains over the last week, I'm pretty sure 90% of them are in my head!

I'm 9dpo today so not long before I find out, I don't feel any different and haven't had any implantation symptoms so I think I don't think I conceived this cycle either.

Once again it's not over till AF makes an appearance! xx

It's so nice knowing there are lots of us on the same journey. Makes it less lonely & saves the hubby hearing me go on all the time haha

I didn't cave in and didn't do any opks, been quite relaxed up until today when a colleague announced her pregnancy, now it's all I'm thinking about!

I'm due between 26th-29th

My AF is due on 28/10 so going to hold it until 29/10! In reality I think I will cave. So far I a suffering with tender breasts, left pelvic pain & frequent loo trips! I am sure it's all in my head! Good luck every one xx

I feel pains in my left side every month and I've given up trying to figure out what it means as it's not always around ovulation!

I also found out something I thought was interesting recently, I think it's common knowledge that chin spots are related to female hormones but if you get them around the corner if your mouth it is to do with ovulation and what side you are ovulating on, something else to look out for on our long lists!

I'm a bit confused this month as my app is saying I need to test on 27th but it's not forecasting my AF until 2nd... I'm wondering if it's because I actually used a OPK kit this month?

I am in the same boat Ren2903, my app says AF is due on 28/10 but I can take a test in four days? Not really sure why?

I like to think I will be strong enough to hold out until 29/10 but I think I will cave x

Strange isn't it. I can only think it says the date AF should be due based on last month but to take a pregnancy test based on 2 weeks after ovulation if you have had a positive test (this is the first month I've actually tested)

I think I've missed this month anyhow as OH was away when I got my positive. So confident in that I had a glass of prosecco at the weekend :-) after abstaining all this time I was rather jolly!

Does anyone know the maximum amount of time it'll be before finding out if the deed has worked? I'm 10DPO today been told to do a test on Friday, if that comes back as Neg then does that mean this month has failed? AF isn't due till 29th but I didn't know it you don't fall pregnant within a certain time frame then that's the end for this cycle?

I always wait to see if AF arrives before testing I find it saves money and heartbreak too! I think u can test as early as 10-12dpo but it depends on how much hcg you have in your body as whether you'll get a bfp if you're pregnant. If you can you're better off holding out as with each day the hcg increases and you're less likely to get a false negative. Good luck girlies! x

11dpo today, had some spotting today but I have a feeling that AF may be making an early appearance .

Took a test the other day and got a bfn. It's only cycle #1 for me so I would have been soooo lucky to conceive this month.

Hi Annie, it migh just be too early to tell? Will you retest on Friday? I am trying to hold out but I also don't want to know! Fingers crossed x
