You know the drill by now ...

Rules of Entry - must be over 30, TTC no. 1 for over a year, be suitably evil and Hag like, willing to shout Cunt at the moon on regular occasions, consume extra gin when our fellow hags are unable to, and to get the nipple tassles out for any successful Hag ...

No admittance without a complete BESHtionnaire - see below.

All is fine from harmony Smile

Great news, Blue!!!Grin

So happy for you, hag. And for me, actually, all these good BESH news give me so much hope!

blue2014 · 19/05/2016 08:01

Yeah Erica - we are all graduating this thread this year, it's our time Hag Smile

OP posts:
EricaJ · 19/05/2016 09:21

Yes, Blue! I really hope so!

EricaJ · 19/05/2016 12:15

The results of my hysto + biopsy have all come back normal... I guess it is good but I guess a part of me hoped they would say "oh, you have a silly infection that is the root of all the problems! take this antibiotics and your shall have triplets in no time, madam!".

One can dream I guess, and my uterus being all broken inside was one of my fears so there you go.

barkingtreefrog · 20/05/2016 05:21

Erica I'm going with that being good news, as they've not found anything scary and you don't have to worry about something being wrong in there that might cause any issues when you get pg again (and you will get pregnant again).
I know the feeling of wanting there to be a problem that can fixed though xx.

Good news on the harmony Blue. There's a December babies thread over in antenatal, quite a few ivf babies in there and women with previous miscarriages, so it's not the naive place you might think it would be on the main board, fancy coming over?

blue2014 · 20/05/2016 14:01

I understand Erica, it's a funny situation when we almost want something to be wrong (I was pissed off when it turned out I have low AMH but only cos the NHS didn't pick it up, it was almost a relief to know that it wasn't just his spaff and it totally explained the 3 eggs situation!) still hoping for the very best for you

Hi Barking! Thanks for the invite but I'm not sure I'm ready or that I'll ever be. I will definitely lurk there though Smile
I've posted some preg questions on the PESH board and I don't know if I can manage to go anywhere other than BESH or PESH!
I'm kinda sad that the BESH is so quiet now - it feels like I killed a MN tradition! I know there is still the berries and Icys "mind numbing" thread in infertility is bloody brilliant (I've lurked there for ages) and filled with potential BESH but still ... I'll miss the BESH Sad

OP posts:
EricaJ · 21/05/2016 07:21

Oh Blue, I also feel sad that BESH is over but I will around if someone fancies a chat...

How are you? Starting to be able to relax a bit?

blue2014 · 21/05/2016 08:30

Well I'm sticking around certainly til the thread is full (which isn't long now, any lurking BESH need to come out now and take over!)

I think I'm getting better but still quite cautious (I've never in my life checked the inside of my knickers so much Hmm) all being well I'll be 12 weeks in 4 days. I think the next scan may help even more but that's not til 15 weeks as I'm off on holiday next week

  • finish progestone next week too which feels like a massive step.
OP posts:
EricaJ · 22/05/2016 08:26

Blue, nearly 12 weeks! That and stopping progesterone is a huge milestone!

Yes, I guess this is the last BESH thread... it is a shame in a way but it also means that most people have succeeded and were able to move on and that is a good thing!

CaveMum · 22/05/2016 21:27

Hello all, room for a little 'un?

Sorry I've been absent for so long, it has taken so long to get the ball rolling on treatment. But here I am, 9 days into our first treatment cycle. I've been self-stabbing since Tuesday and am back at the clinic for a scan on Tuesday morning. All being well we're looking at triggering ovulation next weekend.

I know this looks likely to be the last BESH thread, but the ESH always go out with a bang eh?

blue2014 · 22/05/2016 22:03

Yes, more BESH! Get in! Hi Cave Smile

OP posts:
EricaJ · 23/05/2016 15:41

Hey Cave,

Wow, exciting! How are you feeling? I have just made my appointment for end of June so I can get all my prescriptions etc for when I get started beginning of July and my head is deeeeeeep in the sand!

I know this has come up a million times, but what do I take in the meantime? I am on 5mg of folic acid and Omegas-DHA sups. I hear CQ10 helps as well? Been adding linseed to my breakfast help build a good lining but I imagine all the drucks should be taking care of that? Hmm

blue2014 · 23/05/2016 16:51

I'd take the Q10, I did and really think it's the only reason we stood a chance with only 2 fertilised eggs (both got to blast stage) - I read 'it's starts with the egg' and honestly hardly followed any of the advice because I'd kinda assumed I would produce loads of eggs (NHS suggested I would!) but if you can do it, it seems to make sense.

I also had Mr B on Q10 and fertilaid. I know we were male factor but I don't think it hurts to improve the spaff anyway

OP posts:
CaveMum · 23/05/2016 17:32

I'm feeling ok, not as doom and gloom as I was last time, but still not utterly convinced it will work.

Vitamin wise we're doing the same as last time, so we're both taking Pregnacare Conception vitamins (his n hers). Don't forget staff takes about 90 days to be manufactured from start to finish, so if you get the other half to start on something now it won't show any benefits until end of August.

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2016 17:40

Erica I was also on CoQ10 for this last round.
And I had DCW on pregnacare conception for men and limited his alcohol intake for 3 months pre ivf.

Hi Cave!! Fingers crossed for a good haul of eggs and some good quality fertilisation Grin.

cooperG · 23/05/2016 18:00

Hi hags, sorry I've been away a while again, I'm not leaving though. Can we recruit new BESH? That seems kind of wrong but I don't want us to not be here..?

CaveMum · 23/05/2016 18:03

I think the introduction of the Infertility board has led to less candidates for ESH - they tend to group together by specific treatment/problem rather than general barren-ness. That's not to say the ESH can't continue, but I think new recruits will be thin on the ground sadly.

There's always the BESH Facebook group, is everyone on it?

EricaJ · 23/05/2016 20:20

There is a BESH FB group??

Ok, Mr Erica has been on the Pregnacare Conception for years and he is actually quite good at taking it... Will get some Q10 tomorrow then, seven weeks to go and it can't hurt! Ideas on doses?

CaveMum · 23/05/2016 20:31

It doesn't get a other if traffic these days but I'm happy to add you if you want to PM me your "real" name/details.

barkingtreefrog · 23/05/2016 22:50

Erica there is a BESH fb group but it's quieter than this thread! Can't remember the last time someone posted in there.

blue2014 · 24/05/2016 07:16

Yes look at the active BESH thread ... Shall we start another? Any takers??

OP posts:
cooperG · 24/05/2016 08:05

I think we should..? Blush

cooperG · 24/05/2016 08:09

Damn, can't edit posts, was going to suggest that maybe we move to the infertility board, we might get more traffic there?

I'd rather not do it as 1) I've not been around much and 2) I'm on the mobile site which is rubbish, but if no one else has the next time I'm on, I will do.

Not ready to say bye to the hags yet!

blue2014 · 24/05/2016 08:15
