Use the "I'm on antibiotics" trick! :)
I'm due 30th October! :D

Cupcake92 · 03/07/2015 11:18

Cross post Ducky!
I think it's just a phase, he should be himself again soon :) my DS has been more himself again the past 2 days, so I'm thinking the naughty behaviour and not eating etc was a phase also

zombiemeow · 03/07/2015 11:28

I really hope so cupcake!! He was up every hour last night, wake up at 5.30, then had breakfast and was moaning, we went to have a play and he just cried and cried. So I tried to get him to sleep and he just cried and went stiff and was scratching his head and slapping me and pinching Confused finally got him to sleep and the bloody recycling people came making a racket and woke him up Angry tried to get him back to sleep but then the ever helpful h came down and started talking to him. Going to take him for a walk in the big park later to see if I can cheer him up. He loves trees

Think the anti biotics one is the most used Smile I used that and also said I was driving.

Bearsinmotion · 03/07/2015 11:46

Congratulations Me, that's great news :)

Me624 · 03/07/2015 13:17

Thanks so much everyone, it's so nice to be able to share the news as obviously we aren't going to tell anyone else until 12 weeks. Am I right in thinking that the 12 weeks is counted from the date of your last period rather than from the actual date of conception? If so then I'm 5 weeks today. There is a place nearby though where you can pay for an early scan from 8 weeks, I might do that as I don't think I can wait until 12!

Thanks for the ideas, I'll go with antibiotics for the hen do!

zombiemeow · 03/07/2015 15:23

Yes me it's counted from the day of your last af (if you have a 28 day cycle) or two weeks before conception.... I think!

We have been for a walk in the park and ds will go in his duck bath later Grin we didn't go very far because it was so hot! He's finally having a nap now.

Cupcake where do you keep ds duck bath? Grin It's big and I have no idea where to keep it! I hope I don't have to keep deflating it.

Cupcake92 · 03/07/2015 21:08

I'd go for the 8 week scan Me! I had one at 7 weeks and 2 days as I was scared about heartbeat etc cuz I had 2 miscarriages back to back. It was worth the money getting the scan.

Ducky I used to just leave it in the bath! As he used to actually have a bath in it. Then when I used the bath or whatever id just move it onto the landing then when I was done itd go back in the bath again Grin

I'm off to my moms tomorrow with DS for a takeaway with the whole family :) I can't wait! Will be nice to relax whilst everyone else plays with DS Grin
I had the most ridiculous craving for a nice salad tonight! So me and DS went to the pub for dinner :) I had a roasted pepper stuffed with Philadelphia cream cheese salad with balsamic dressing all over! Oooo it was beautiful! Could eat it all over again! :) DS had chicken nuggets and chips and spaghetti that he decided to eat with his hands Grin I've also baked a Devils chocolate fudge cake which I'm about to go and cut a slice of as it should be set by now :) yum yum!

zombiemeow · 03/07/2015 21:26

Have just left ours in the bath for now Grin

It's a lot cooler here tonight, 22 degrees in our room. Hope ds sleeps better.

Got lunch with stupid mil Sunday, no doubt she has endless insults ready to throw at me. H calls her once a week, he has to do it when I'm not around now as she is getting worse and it usually ends with me shouting in the background Grin her phone is rubbish so he has to put her on speaker so I hear it all!

zombiemeow · 03/07/2015 21:29

And I second the early scan me! (It's ducky incase you didn't read back - had to name change) I had one at 6+2 which was nhs, it is reassuring Smile

Cupcake92 · 04/07/2015 07:40

I don't envy u one bit having lunch with ur mil! I hope she's not too bad for u Ducky!

We had a huge thunderstorm last night! The lightening was so bright it lit the room up! DS ended up coming into my bed as it woke him up.

LuluJakey1 · 04/07/2015 10:11

It is grey, cloudy, wet and COOL here today. Hurrah! Last night was much cooler but we still had the fan on all night in our room.

I am off out with a friend for the day. DH is having DS all to himself Grin He has also promised to clean the kitchen and cook dinner. If he manages all of that I will be amazed.

Have a nice day everyone.

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 04/07/2015 10:26

We had crazy thunderstorms too!

Ds didn't like it, he woke at 1am scared, I held him and he eventually fell asleep at 3.30, then he woke every half hour Confused poor little thing. He's grumpy today as he hadn't had much sleep. Or me Confused.

Lulu hope dh manages all that! Would be lovely if I could go out for the day and trust h to look after ds and clean the house!

Lillamyy1 · 04/07/2015 11:14

Hello all! Congratulations me Flowers That's really good news!
It was cooler here in the night than theast couple of nights as we had torrential rain and a massive thunderstorm! Shame the washing was on the line Hmm
DS woke up loads for feeds in the night so DP took him downstairs at 8 so I could have another couple if hours sleep.
I took DS swimming for the first time yesterday with some other mums and babies from the baby groups I've been going to. He was a bit unsure at first, then he enjoyed it for 5 minutes then decided that he was tired and hungry (he hadn't had his nap) so i had to take him back to the changing rooms and feed him and he fell fast asleep Grin
He seems to be back to waking every 1.5 hours in the night for feeds Sad

Lulu I hope u enjoyed ur day baby free!! :)

Ducky bless I bet both u and DS are exhausted!

I bet ur exhausted as well Lill !! Every 1.5 hours must be difficult :(

Tori that's sounds yummy! I've always wanted to try key lime pie it looks so refreshing!

I'm not feeling great tonight. I think I may have done too much today. It has been non stop and I had to run around after DS at my moms as he was too hyper and no one would watch him. He slipped and fell in the paddling pool and soaked all his clothes !!
I'm only just home now DS is still awake, I feel rele achy and sore and my pelvis is rele bad tonight, every time I'm walking I hold the bottom of my belly trying to take the weight off my pelvis Grin I also feel very nauseous tonight and feel like I may throw up. Praying DS goes to sleep soon as I need my bed so bad

LuluJakey1 · 04/07/2015 22:37

Cupcake, get yourself to bed with a mug of tea and try to take it easy tomorrow. You need to look after yourself. I hope DS has worn himself out and sleeps all night.

I had a lovely day with my friend. The sun came out. We went shopping and I bought some new flatties, then back to the old farmhouse she lives in and sat outside looking over the fields and had a cream tea. It was bliss.

I came back to DS bathed and ready for bed, dinner cooked and the kitchen a tip with DH looking pleased with himself Smile We have cleaned up together after dinner. It looked easier after a large glass of white wine and it didn't take too long. I couldn't complain- he had made my favourite. Although DS was ready for bed, he only actually went to bed half an hour ago so we are hoping he sleeps in tomorrow.

Hope you feel better soon Cupcake!

Cupcake92 · 05/07/2015 08:21

Lulu he fell asleep at 10:30 and o went straight to bed!
That's so lovely of ur DH to do all that! I bet u were so pleased :) apart from the messy kitchen! Grin aw well done to ur DH! And I'm glad u had such a lovely day :)

Thanks Lill! I'm feeling achy still this morning. Feels like I did big gym session, or a long long walk and I have the achy body after Grin of course tho I didn't do a long walk or go to the gym Grin
God I hope my physio bloody hurries up.

Lillamyy1 · 05/07/2015 09:46

Have you tried searching on YouTube for some exercises to help SPD Cupcake?? I've just thought, there are probably some on there!
DS was awake a lot in the night again - now he's passed out on my lap! Sometimes he'll only sleep if he's on me! I wish I knew how to tie him onto my back in the sling - then I could do stuff around the house while he slept!

LuluJakey1 · 05/07/2015 12:22

Lill that is such a cute picture of your DS. He looks completely content and relaxed.

Glad you got some sleep Cupcake and are feeling better this morning. Don't do much today.

It is warm but dull here this morning. Ds slept until almost half 8 Grin
DH and I had got a bit carried away with each other last night - it was like when we first met and used to spend hours in bed Blush so it was nice to have an extra snooze this morning.

DH has taken DS swimming so I am having a feet up on the sofa with a mug of tea.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 05/07/2015 20:53

I hadn't thought of that Lill ! Good idea!!
How cute is ur DS! Looks so peaceful bless him :)
I really want a sling for DS2! Need to find a good one tho, but no idea which is a good brand!

Oh Lulu u make me laugh Grin
I hope DS liked swimming! :)

zombiemeow · 05/07/2015 21:11

He does look chilled lil! And such a cute outfit!

How was swimming lulu?

Cupcake I just got a cheap sling off e bay, it's just a stretchy one. Seems to do the job Smile did you find any exercises?

Well mil was full of the insults but.... I don't know what come over me, I snapped with her and started answering her back Grin h and sil had to step in to calm things down! Also, ds is such a calm chilled baby, my db manages a pub and we go in a few times a week to see him, everyone loves ds in there and he gets passed around, he happily goes to anyone. But when he sees mil he screams and screams and buries his head in my neck, he won't even look at her! I don't know why Shock dm reckons he can sense me being uncomfortable with her.

Mil isn't bothered about seeing him, I think she does it to 'keep up appearances'. I can count on one hand how many times she has seen him since he has been born, and she had the cheek to say she wants him overnight. He's blatantly uncomfortable around her and she has a history of extremely bad parenting so I said no Angry luckily h agreed though

LuluJakey1 · 05/07/2015 22:16

Ducky, I didn't go swimmng- DH took DS and they had a great time.
DS has been whingey this afternoon because he wanted to be in the garden and it has rained. He has been sitting at the garden glass door crying. The glass is covered in little hand prints and lick marks! He has crawled all over the place, had chicken casserole for his tea and I am hoping is asleep for the night.

Sounds like fun with your MIL, not! Hmm She seems to be charming. Why is she so horrible to you?

Hope you have had a good day Cupcake, less pain and a little boy who has behaved and is fast asleep.

DH is in bed and I am watching tv with the cats.

Cupcake, you should go to one of the Derby sling library meets! You can ask advice, try different slings and even borrow one and see how you like it! m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1425193844388832
That's there Facebook page.
Ducky I'm glad you answered your awful MIL back! And that H agreed DS shouldn't stay over. I wouldn't want my DS staying with anyone!

Lillamyy1 · 06/07/2015 07:09

THEIR Facebook page I mean Hmm
