DP was out until quarter to midnight last night, drinking with his mates. He called me at ten and said he was about to come home, so I waited up because I hadn't seen him all day. Eventually at 11:30 I went to bed and texted him to tell him not to come into DS's room (where I sleep) because I was going to sleep and I didn't want him to wake DS. So what does he do when he gets in? Comes into the bloody room going on drunkenly about wanting a kiss goodnight! Grrr! I had to get back out of bed and leave the bedroom so as to not wake DS up because DP kept trying to apologise for being late!
Then I asked him to bring the washing in before he went to bed because I knew it was going to rain.
So just woke up now to feed DS to the sound of very heavy rain and looked out the window. Guess what? The washing, which had been totally dry, is still on the effing line and is getting drenched Angry
I'm sooo annoyed, I asked him to do one bloody thing! There'll be words in the morning Hmm

Cupcake92 · 28/06/2015 07:20

I hope he went to sleep for u Ducky!

Lill I can't believe ur friends DS put the scan pic in the bin!! Shock I can see why my DS is playing up tho as a lot has had to change the past few weeks what with me getting bigger and also me being in more pain with my pelvis. DS has suddenly had to do more for himself bless him. We haven't had a great start to this morning tho Grin he woke up and I went into his room and opened the stair gate on his door. He shouted at me then quickly got off his bed and ran into my room and sat on the floor shouting and wouldn't move Grin such a strange child Grin he's now sat with his iPad on the sofa, with his bottle of milk, some toast and some coco pops haha

And Lill that's so annoying about ur DP!! Thank goodness he didn't wake DS ! My washing was left out last night as well.... But ..... That's my fault :/ I was too tired to bring it in haha! Grin

zombiemeow · 28/06/2015 07:59

Cupcake hopefully he's getting used to the idea of it all, I often worry if I were to have another one would it upset ds Confused I think he would like a play buddy though Grin

Lil Angry at your dh. Is he in bed with a hangover? If so you should chuck the bloody soggy washing on his head!

Ds didn't sleep too badly, he slept until 4 then went to sleep again but was doing random cries for his dummy. It's been very hot here recently so I often wonder if the heat is making him do this, he's sleeping in a 1.5 sleeping bag and a vest at the mo. I was going to take his bag off last night but then he might get too cold.

LuluJakey1 · 28/06/2015 19:19

That bloody drum! It is DS favourite now, and I could kill DH for buying it. DS just loves it. He has been sitting on a rug in the garden banging it and chewing his Oleg grub. He is scruffy from all the crawling and covered in bits of grass from rolling on the cut lawn Smile But he is very happy and hopefully very tired. DH is just bathing him while I put my feet up with a can of Pims with ice. Ducky, he is sleeping in a nappy and a vest at the moment with just a little sheet over him.

It has been hot up here but very still and heavy. We went along to the lighthouse where it is always a bit cooler and had an ice cream and DS had a little paddle with DH holding him up. He loved it but shrieked at first when his toes went in the water.

Only 3 weeks until the end of term! DH has loads to do because he is leaving one place and starting his new school. SIL is moving in two weeks. We still haven't booked a holiday cottage. Will end up staying at home at this rate.Mind you we were only going to Norfolk!

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight. Cupcake - how has DS been today?

Lill - did DH have a hangover?

Cupcake92 · 28/06/2015 20:39

Ducky that's not too bad a sleep for DS :) hope he does well for u again tonight!

Lulu bless sounds like DS had a great day!! Grin I hope ur DH likes his new job when he starts! And it's not long till ur SIL moves!
All exciting :)
Well Lulu DS has been at his worst today. I'm so shocked at his behaviour today. Spent most of his time lying on the ground crying. He hasn't eaten any lunch and hasn't eaten much tea, only 3 spoonfuls. Now he's refusing to lie down for bed.
I'm exhausted and I've been very close to tears all day. Feeling very down today and a bit crap if I'm honest :(

Lillamyy1 · 28/06/2015 21:02

Oh no Cupcake Flowers it's the terrible twos! It's probably because he's too little to understand why you can't pick him up etc. It won't be like it for ever though Flowers
Ducky it might have been too hot for your DS. We've got a monitor with the temperature on and it was 24-25 degrees here last night. DS was in just a babygrow with one cellular blanket and at one point I took the blanket off him because it was so warm.
Lulu, that's funny about your DS! What a cutie!
Well yes, DP did have a hangover - a terrible one! And he had to work from midday until 6ish! I had to try very hard not to gloat Wink

LuluJakey1 · 28/06/2015 23:27

Oh gawd Cupcake! You must be so fed up. Flowers Does wearing him out help at all? I would try not to make a fuss about the eating- if he is really hungry he will eat. Put lots of little bits out, like a picnic and ask him what he would like. If he does not want it, let him get on with it but don't give him in between things.
Do you have a garden he could run around in? Or is there a park near? Trouble is your hips must be sore as well. Hope he sleeps tonight- he must be tired.

DH is fast asleep. He says DS is more tiring than a cycle ride. Now DS can crawl- although it is more of a scuttle really- he is very busy all the time and has to be kept an eye on and chased- as he scuttled off to go behind the shed today.

OP posts:
Lillamyy1 · 29/06/2015 02:46

That's going to be a tiring stage Lulu! We've been talking about building shelves in all the alcoves to keep things on and getting rid of the freestanding bookshelves. We'll also need to elevate the TV and Xbox Hmm
Well DS is up for his second feed of the night, so it's going to be a long one! He really did lull me into a false sense of security with those long sleeps before! Maybe it's because it's so hot he's extra thirsty. Also he's starting to learn to do things with his hands and keeps accidentally pulling his dummy out then grunting and huffing for me to put it back in for him!! I've put his scratch mits on...

zombiemeow · 29/06/2015 07:37

Oh no cupcake Hmm hope ds is back to himself soon.

Lulu sounds like there's a lot of exciting things going on soon Grin except for the drumming I was actually looking at a little drum for ds the other day but thought against it!

Lil I think the weather isn't helping them, ds seems to be sleeping worse in the heat, and I hear there's a heat wave on the way Confused think he will just sleep in his vest if it gets warmer.

Well I haven't dyed my hair since just after I had ds, and it was looking absolutely awful so I treated myself to a new dye. It was the same brand I always use, but when I brushed my hair after washing it out my hair was all snapping off and feels horrible Hmm my hair was so long and now it's a few cm shorter Hmm I've never had that happen before so no idea why it's done it now Confused

LuluJakey1 · 29/06/2015 19:17

Ducky - don't get a drum. Really, just don't. The banging on it is accompanied by shouting. This afternoon, I took it off him and there was a temper tantrum- trembly huffy lip, tears, sobbing, clenched fists, squealing. Shock I didn't give in and he stopped, cuddled in, had a little sleep and so far hasn't looked for it. He is in the garden on the big patio with DH and playing on a little wheelie seat thing that he whizzes round in.

Lill, I have moved anything dangerous or sentimental and breakable out of his reach, and made sure there are no gaps where he can get behind things. Now he wants to be up on things so he scuttles across to chairs and sofas and shouts to be up.

The advantage is he is exhausted every night. Grin

How are things today Cupcake?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 20:39

My DS sleeps on just a pj top atm. If I had vests in his size he'd probably just wear one of those.

Ducky that's strange ur hair dye did that Hmm tho it could be to do with the weather.

I feel I've had a long day today. I'm so so tired. Work was busy, but it's been very hot today so I think that's played a part too Grin DS hasn't eaten a lot again today but he's been better behaved. He's still awake now tho, hoping he's asleep by 9!

zombiemeow · 29/06/2015 21:02

Ha lulu I don't think il get him one then! although there's piles of toys in the hall as I've started my christmas/birthday shopping

Glad he's been better today cupcake. Does your ds still have milk?

I've put ds in a vest and 1.5 sleep bag tonight. I'm off on the hunt tomorrow for a 0.5 sleep bag, I can't use thin sheets as he gets all over the place so hel be straight out! And I think if he wears just a vest he will be too busy playing with his toes to sleep!

I'm a bit worried about this heat wave that's on it's way! Shock

Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 21:08

Ur organised Ducky! And yes I'm worried about this heatwave too! Shock for myself as well! Haha! I need my electric fan and ice pops at the ready! And yes DS still has milk, he has a bottle in the morning and at night, of blue top cows milk. It's his favourite times of the day when he gets his milk Grin

LuluJakey1 · 29/06/2015 21:12

I am tired too Cupcake. I slept badly last night- don't know why, just couldn't settle. Am off to bed in a minute with a headache. DH has just said 'Have you really got a headache or are you warning me off'
No I really have a headache. If I wanted to 'warn him off' (whatever that means), I would just tell him straight. He's niggling at me tonight- symptom of tiredness and (real) headache!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 29/06/2015 21:13

If Ds needs getting up to, it is DH tonight. I might take half a sleeping tablet.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 21:44

Oh no Lulu, heat can cause headaches, it's awful when it gets too hot. I hope u manage a good nights sleep tonight.

DS fell asleep at 9:30, not to bad, still not great but I can cope with that.
I'm sat now with a few slices of leftover pizza Grin it's so yummy!

zombiemeow · 29/06/2015 22:02

I love left over pizza! Grin

I usually start my x mas shopping in June, last year I had it all done for November, I'm aiming for October this year. Will be a busy one as it will be ds birthday too! Grin

I spent most the day in hair masks, think it has helped a bit Smile got some more for tomorrow. Have to sort it before thurs as it's ds baby group and I currently have blond/orange hair! It was purple but I'm changing to pink! Grin

Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 22:14

Omg Ducky! I used to have purple hair! Grin it was purple just before I got pg with DS, then I had to use a different dye whilst pg and it went a sort of dark reddy purple, I loved it tho! I'm naturally blondy brown which I've gone back to now so that I'm not dying whilst pg. deffo want something extravagant after DS2 is born!
I dyed my hair black once and hated it.... In the process of stripping it..... It went bright orange!!! And I mean bright!! Shock
When is ur DS's bday?

zombiemeow · 29/06/2015 22:24

I loved black but my natural hair is very light blonde so when my roots come it looks awful!

His birthday is 8th December, still a while off but I like to be organised.

My baby monitor says it's 25 degrees tonight Confused I hope ds is ok, he seems wriggly

Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 22:33

That was my problem too! My black hair looked silly because of my complexion as well, I'm very pale faced so I looked even more pale with it Grin

Ah yes I couldn't remember if it was beginning or end of December!
Omg 25 degrees? That's not good :/ I've not switched DS 's monitor on yes as I still have both our bedroom doors open. I close them when I got to sleep. If it's 25 degrees tho the monitor will constantly beep all night. It warns me when it's too hot and doesn't stop beeping until it's 24 degrees or less. This will be an exciting night Grin

Cupcake92 · 29/06/2015 22:45

Yep monitors at 25 n it's beeping like mad Hmm

zombiemeow · 30/06/2015 07:05

I turned our temperature alarm off. I left the doors open and the windows in all the rooms, was still very warm! Think il have to get a fan today too!

Cupcake92 · 30/06/2015 11:45

My fan is also out today Ducky!
I have this blow up duck bath from when DS was a baby, I got it out today and he's paddling in it Grin I've attached a photo! At least it's keeping him cool! And for once he's wearing his hat! Shock

April 2014 TTC Girls- babies almost all here and last one on his way!
zombiemeow · 30/06/2015 12:19

How strange cupcake! I was looking at that exact one about an hour ago and was going to buy it!! But there was no price tag for it so didn't pick it up.

Dm is bringing me a fan in a bit Grin ds doesn't like this heat.

Cupcake92 · 30/06/2015 16:23

Jeez it's too hot!!!!!!!!
