We got DS a paddling pool and he has been in it today. He loved it. Sat in it and rolled in it- only with me there. Unfortunately, it is a bit like the drum- wailing when I stopped him being in it!

Now he can crawl he has become much more wilful- very like his dad Grin

Bless him Lulu! I got DS a new pool too, he's been in it all day.

He's in just his nappy tonight as monitor says 27 degrees on it!!!! Rele hope he's okay tonight

LuluJakey1 · 01/07/2015 07:03

We left DS's bedroom window open a bit last night- there was a bit of a breeze here- and he just slept in his nappy and very thin vest too. We have had a fan on the landing which is good if there is a breeze as well as it does move air and it was 22 degrees in our room and 23 in DS room.He is still asleep.

DH is wandering round naked after his shower and standing infront of the fan which he has moved onto a chest of drawers in our room and all our bedroom windows are wide open. He says he can't bear clothes on today because it's too hot. He's going to work Hmm

I a gong to take DS down to the sea again today. It will be cooler down there.

Our room was 27 too Confused

Ds was in his nappy and a sleeveless vest, we had the windows wide open and the fan on. He didn't sleep well still Confused

He went in his paddling pool the other day too. He loved it!

zombiemeow · 01/07/2015 11:04

Too hot to go outside today, it's boiling!!

Have plonked ds infront of the telly bad parent watching adventure time because I love it he's really into it! Hasn't took his eyes off it yet!

I hate it when it's too warm Confused ds has a play group today, not sure if to go or not. The TV watching didn't last too long here! X

Cupcake92 · 01/07/2015 11:38

Well we've tried going nappy free as DS was getting very drowsy as he was boiling bless him. Got the fan on and he was loving it! Until he suddenly weed everywhere! So nappy is back on Grin we aren't going outside at all it's far too hot! He's just so drowsy today due to him being too hot.

I hope everyone manages to cool down today! Highest is 32 degrees so it says on my phone ! Shock

LuluJakey1 · 01/07/2015 19:35

Not too hot here today- 21 degrees and an absolute downpour for 15 minutes which helped Grin

DS has been in his paddling pool with nothing on, he loved it.

It is definitely cooler than last night thank goodness.

Cupcake92 · 01/07/2015 20:13

Ur lucky Lulu! It reached 37 degrees here today. I've been housebound as it was far too hot to go out. DS slept for 4 hours today as he's was so drowsy.
I've got the midwife tomorrow at 9 before I go to work, I'm dreading it in this heat!

zombiemeow · 01/07/2015 20:45

It's 29 in our room ATM, even with window open and fan blasting!

I have been to hospital, I feel horrific, I'm an awful parent Sad earlier ds wouldn't settle, he naps in his bean bag during the day. We have wide sofas so I put it on the sofa next to me. He fell asleep. I went to just turn the oven off and there was a Big Bang then crying. He'd rolled off SadSadSad. I'm hoping the bean bag broke his fall as there was a bit of crying and a red mark on his head. Had him checked over to be sure.

Feel so awful Sad

Cupcake92 · 01/07/2015 21:22

Don't feel awful Ducky these things happen all the time. My DS also fell off the sofa when he was younger, all I did was get up to go get his dummy he'd chucked then Suddenly fell straight on his head. As they grow they will fall off things and always have lots of bumps, especially once they start walking lol. Don't feel bad tho, u got him checked over n all was okay so nothing to worry about :)

LuluJakey1 · 01/07/2015 22:48

Ducky, DS banged his head off the coffee table last week and has a bruise! First day he crawled. He has a scuffed knee as well from the patio and rolled off the bed the other morning- fortunately onto a very thick new rug and half the duvet which was lying half off the bed on the floor. He just laughed after looking a bit surprised. I am already toughened up about it.

The drum has not been out today, am hoping it has slipped his mind.

It is very hot now here- thunder and lightning but no rain. Sky almost black. Really heavy atmosphere and very still. Windows open but only to the extent of the eaves so the rain does not come in when it starts. Fan on in here and one from the garage outside of Ds's room.

DH and I are both lying on the mattress with no sheet and no clothes on. I have just told him to move to the far edge of the bed because he is radiating heat. He told me to stop being a grumpy witch Hmm

Cupcake92 · 01/07/2015 22:53

Send some rain this way Lulu! I need rain!! Lol

The monitor in DS's room say 30 degrees atm!! Confused I'm rele worried tonight because even im struggling as I'm too hot so dread to think how DS is feeling.
Again he's only in a nappy and has no quilt at all tonight

Cupcake92 · 02/07/2015 01:33

We'll I have DS's Matress in the lounge and I'm on the sofa. He's wide awake and very clammy and hot. I'm in agony with my pelvis and dying to lie down but the lounge is the coolest room of the house n it's best DS is in here. Don't know how I'm going to cope at work tomorrow Grin

LuluJakey1 · 02/07/2015 07:04

We had two thunderstorms during the night. Absolute downpours. There are puddles everywhere and it has cooled everything down. Looks like a lovely day and not too hot.

DS is in our bed having his milk while DH gets ready for work. DS is all quiet, cuddley and smiley. Aww!

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 02/07/2015 07:05

Are you well enough to go to work Cupcake?

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 02/07/2015 08:21

I think I'm a bit over protective! He has almost hit his head so many times moving around but I always dash over and change his direction!

Yes we could do with a good thunder storm! The coolest it got last night with all upstairs windows open and fan on full blast all night was 27. Ds was just in a sleeveless vest and still felt sticky!

Hope your feeling better cupcake. Really can't believe the physio taking so long Hmm

I have a lady coming to the house next week to help with with getting more answers/making a complaint about the care I received with dd. a few days ago, after chasing up her post mortem letter for 1 year 4 months I finally received it. It had a lot of stuff in it that had never been discussed with me. It mentions numerous conditions (with me) including severe pre eclampsia and some things about dd Hmm

I want something done about the midwife I had with her, she missed pre eclampsia, thinking back now there were a few signs of it, she failed to send me for monitoring when I had reduced movements, didn't tell me about my options and was basically uninterested with my concerns. I just hope that she learns a lesson and doesn't do it to anyone else in the future

Cupcake92 · 02/07/2015 16:42

We desperately need a thunderstorm. It's still way too hot here and I'm struggling so much. Trying to go to work, doing housework and cooking and also trying to help DS cool down as he's too hot and drowsy is really getting to me. I don't feel good at all today and feel like I just need to cry. I ache so so bad, I'm far too hot and I need to sit down but I can't because DS needs dinner and a cold bath.
I didn't get much sleep last night, it was half 4 by the time it was cool enough, I opened the French doors and fell asleep on the floor while DS slept on the sofa. Then we woke at about 6:30 and I got ready to see my midwife and also ready to rush to work after.
Midwife said if I've not had my physio appt in a week she's putting a complaint in and will try and fast track it. She said I seem healthy and baby is doing great. She said I need to take it easy but it's impossible lol
I had to come home from work early today as I was so drowsy and my manager told me I looked awful and to go home!

I hope something is done about that midwife Ducky! Can't believe someone could be so negligent! I do hope u get the justice u need from her Flowers she shouldn't be working still at all.

LuluJakey1 · 02/07/2015 23:01

We have had another downpour. No thunder but it stotted down with rain. It is much cooler tonight. It got very hot and heavy again today. DS and I went down to the sea.

DH has a day off tomorrow. The School is closed for some building work that needs to be done without children there. We are having a lie in - hopefully- and then going up the coast to the country park for a walk and to see all the bird ponds and reeds. Lovely long weekend.

Hi ladies, you won't remember me but I joined this thread when it first started in April 2014. I left after a few months as DH and I had been struggling with ttc and I found it hard. Eventually went to the doctor after a year of ttc had gone by with no luck and blood tests showed that I was severely anaemic. I was put on iron tablets and retested every month and finally last month the tests showed I was back up to normal levels.

Lo and behold ... I have just got my bfp this morning! I am ecstatic and came on here and saw that this thread is still going. Lovely to see that you all have beautiful babies and hopefully all will go well with my pg and I will be joining you in 9 months.

Cupcake92 · 03/07/2015 09:21

Thanks cupcake and tori! It's terrible timing really as I'm about to leave for a hen do for the weekend ... going to have to come up with some creative excuses for why I'm not drinking!

When is your baby due cupcake?

zombiemeow · 03/07/2015 10:49

Woo congratulations me!

We had rain here too last night but not much Hmm

I got ds one of the duck baths! Grin I don't know what's going on with him ATM tho Hmm I'm so miserable. He seems to be constantly unhappy the past couple of days. He screams constantly when awake then gets overtired and screams more and goes rigid/slaps/pinches/scratches. I'm hoping it's just the heat and it will pass as I'm really struggling to cope at the mo Hmm
