Cupcake I like Lil had extra fluid which was causing labour like contractions that were braxton hicks. Really annoying too as the midwives wouldn't give me anything during my induction even though it was really painful. Once my waters broke and heck did they break, all the fluid came out and finally no pain! Then I had my section but the contractions afterwards were stronger on the monitor (and my belt hadn't been changed) but not painful at all. So if you are still having painful contractions do go in. Because extra fluid can make you high risk, the cord can drop down when your waters break.

Not long to go no!

Baby led weaning, we've just started and i think it's worth it. The end result should be a baby that will eat s large variety of foods, eat by themselves (which will be easier for everyone around the table and at restaurants) and they get to experience textures and different flavours. They get to pick what they want from a selection you put down, no special prep work just give them things off your plate. They go straight into finger foods basically.

zombiemeow · 28/09/2015 13:57

I did blw siarie, think lulu has too. Ds loves it and will try anything. He doesn't like fish though, I don't know if maybe that's to do with the fact I don't eat fish at all. I still give purées sometimes too if I haven't had time to make anything. It gets messy though! Luckily the dogs are more than happy to help with the clean up

Bearsinmotion · 28/09/2015 16:40

We're doing a combination of blw and spoon feeding - today DS munched his way through an M&S Thai style samosa!

Cupcake92 · 28/09/2015 19:21

Ducky I want to avoid the epi if I can fx I can handle the pain Grin

Siarie I know I don't have excess waters this time as I have regular scans, I had one last week and said the fluid was normal amount.

Oo Bears that somosa sounds yum!!
Ur DS is fed well!

Well I've walked round the bloody hospital for 2 hours today back and forth only to be told I can't get my prescription as they don't have one of the meds in stock and need to call it down from a different pharmacy so I have to go back in the morning!
I literally broke down In tears to her and said 'ffs I walk all the way to get my prescription then walk all the way here to be told I have to take it back as its not signed! Then I walk back here wait 20 mins for some meds to be told to come back the next day! I have a 2 year old who's bored and I'm in agony having braxton hicks and the feeling like my hips and pelvis are about to snap!'
I just couldn't help but cry, I was in so much pain it's crazy :(

A nurse even passed and asked if she could help me. I just cried and said no i just need to get back to my car. Then I had to go to my moms to let my brother in as no one was home n it was alll too much for me.
People keep asking me to help them with things n I always say yes but I need to stop :( I pushed myself too far today.

No doubt about it I'm pushing for that induction.

zombiemeow · 28/09/2015 20:16

That sounds awful cupcake! If I was with you they would of got a mouth full! Angry

You need to try and take it as easy as possible, I know it's virtually impossible.

LuluJakey1 · 28/09/2015 21:51

I hate hospital pharmacies Cupcake. They ate always miles from the ward, always a huge queue and they never have everything- imho. If you wait at the ward for it to be delivered you can wait 8 hours. And there is no privacy.

You must be so fed up Flowers

Chief builder was poorly today. (phew) The others just got on.
DH is feeling better. Even up to sex on a week night but I said no as I was worried his knee was not up to it Grin He is now washing up to get in my good books and says he is making a cup of tea. Hmm It is still a no.

Cupcake92 · 29/09/2015 02:27

It was just one of them days Ducky!
Trying to keep positive, I've not got long left at all and I know he's not allowed to stay in my belly forever he has to come out no matter what lol

Lulu exactly, they just seem so unorganised ! I'm hoping to drop DS at nursery go in and pick it up and be out in 5 mins haha.

haha oh Lulu u always make me laugh Grin

Well I need to clean the house while DS goes to nursery as well as tomorrow morning we have a health visitor visit for his 2 year assessment. So Wednesday he's not able to go nursery as she's coming at 10am!
Hoping it goes well!

It's 2:30am I'm awake because DS cried but he's gone quiet now so hopefully that means he's back to sleep Grin

zombiemeow · 29/09/2015 08:56

Ha lulu bet the no turned to a yes!

What do they do at the 2 year assessment cupcake?

I have my appt for dd next week Sad ds also sees his consultant and dietitian.

His sleeping is still no better. I'm hoping his appointment for the sleep person comes through soon.

Cupcake92 · 29/09/2015 16:39

Ducky I've no idea what they do for the 2 year assessment :/ I'm a bit nervous tbh.

Aw ducky Flowers I hope the appt goes as well as it can for u.
And I do hope DS gets all the help he needs too!

DS ud a great day at nursery! He's settled amazingly! But he did do something silly today Grin they had spag Bol for dinner and Jayden didn't want it, so I was told he picked his plate up and went over to the bin and threw it in the bin then put his plate on the side and said 'all done' GrinGrin haha I can't believe he did that! He ate 2 bowls of strawberry moose tho Grin

Bearsinmotion · 29/09/2015 17:32

Ha, I like the sound of your DS cupcake, bet the nursery staff were trying not to laugh!

Moving in 3 days, eek!

zombiemeow · 29/09/2015 18:00

GrinGrin sounds like he's a problem solver cupcake!

LuluJakey1 · 29/09/2015 18:50

The no did not turn into a yes Ducky because he fell asleep! although I was prepared to be persuaded Grin

The builders are almost finished. Hurrah! It has been lovely today, so DS and I have been out all day at the beach and then to baby soft play. He is exhausted.

That was actually really clever of your DS Cupcake.

OP posts:
sunny825 · 29/09/2015 18:56

Had my gtt yesterday and hoping it goes ok. Can I ask how long it took for you to get your results back cupcake.
Sorry to see your ds still isn't sleeping ducky x

Cupcake92 · 29/09/2015 19:22

Bears she was laughing trying to tell me what he did Grin and wow Bears how exciting!!! Are u all packed and ready to go? :)

He deffo is ducky or more like he's a cheeky boy Grin how's ur DS been today ?

Lulu I bet U'll be glad once the builders are all done Grin and it sounds like u and DS have had a lovely day :)

Sunny I had my gtt on a Friday and they said results take 2 days, if it was fine I wouldn't hear anything but if I had GD they would call me in 2 days. Which they did Grin and went in the day after they called me,for an appt to speak about it.

Ooo got my appt a week today! Can't wait to just know when I can have this babyGrin

LuluJakey1 · 29/09/2015 19:59

I am not having any more children. All I do is clean up after him, entertain him, cook for him and comfort him mind you same could be said of DH I want my life back.

OP posts:
Bearsinmotion · 29/09/2015 20:59

I don't know lulu, DD is learning how to clean up and look after DD already poor DS!

Not even started packing cupcake, but we have two weeks so it should be ok! Oo, the next thread should be the live birth thread Grin. Maybe we need to move out of the conception topic after that!!

zombiemeow · 29/09/2015 21:04

Thanks sunny, he's still the same Sad last night he climbed out his cot! Luckily it is right close up to my bed so he just dived onto my stomach Blush hope your results come back ok and quickly!

Lulu I bet you can't wait for them to be finished. We had our bathroom re done when I was pg and they took 2 weeks because things kept coming up, I was so fed up of them and making all their stupid coffee every 2 mins.

Cupcake, we will have a date for you when you go for your next appointment! Have you got someone going with you? I found that helped as they could push more than I could if I felt I wanted something

Cupcake92 · 30/09/2015 04:18

Aw Lulu I bet ull change ur mind own day and ull be pregnant again Grin I don't think u ever get ur life back after having children, even when they are grown up they will always need u for something, whether it's money or to help wash their clothes :p

Bears I think packing is the worst bit Grin u need to hire people to come and pack everything for u!

Ducky I'm excited to walk out with a date! Can't wait for him to be out! I've waited too long for this baby! Grin
And yes got my mom coming along. ExH was coming but he has work and can't get off from it. But I think my mom will be better at persuading anyway Grin she knows exactly what I'm wanting as well :) Plus she has a big party coming up for her 40th and wants me and baby to be there so she said I have to have to baby very soon so I'm healed in time to party GrinGrin

zombiemeow · 30/09/2015 13:47

That's good that your mom is going Smile can't wait to hear your date Grin

Well ds has started the milk ladder today. Fingers tightly crossed it goes ok Shock

Cupcake92 · 30/09/2015 18:44

I can't wait either ducky Grin
Especially as today I've had chronic heartburn!! I've not had it hardly through my whole pregnancy but for some reason I've had it rele bad all day today !!! :(

Oo yay DS! What do u start giving him first?

zombiemeow · 30/09/2015 21:04

I had such bad heartburn through my whole pregnancy with ds it's awful isn't it!

You start off with 1/4 a malted milk biscuit, then if he's ok after 48 hours he has 1/2, then 48 hours after he has a whole one. If he's ok after that then he would of completed step 1, there's 12 steps altogether. He's been ok so far Grin

Cupcake92 · 30/09/2015 21:13

It's horrendous! Nothing seems to be shifting it.
Oh wow that's clever! :) glad he's going okay now I hope he manages to eat a whole one and be okay!! :)
I chopped on a couple of malted milks tonight Blush it's only 2% each biscuit, I sometimes eat melon which is 10% sugar and I'm okay, so I had 4 biscuits Blush

I know this will sound strange but as I never managed to breast feed DS and never had a sign of milk at all I worried I didn't actually make milk! But I've started leaking tonight!!Grin I make milk! Woohoo! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 30/09/2015 21:49

I haven't changed my mind yet Cupcake Grin. Fed up with men - DS, DH and builders. They all think the world revolves around them.

This afternnon when DS was asleep, I made a veggie pasta bake with onions, mushrooms, butternut squash, fresh peas and mange tout and pasta all in a cheese sauce - baked in the oven with grated cheese on top. DH's comment 'Is there no meat?' It was delicious.
DS scoffed it.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 30/09/2015 22:26

Oh Lulu that sounds delicious! I would have very much enjoyed that!

Eugh everything that happens to me i keep thinking 'oo could this be labour about to come?' N obv it's not! But I don't feel right tonight, and got a horrible backache. My heartburn has gone tho! But I just feel.... Off :/
Tho I can tell u know I highly doubt these are signs of labour!

LuluJakey1 · 30/09/2015 23:35

Mine started with backache Cupcake. I felt very tired too and went to bed. Woke up about 3 hours later and waters broke in bathroom.
