Snoopy don't apol for being down. Like hula said this is what this thread is for. U have been through so much in the last 6 months give ursrlf time To Grieve and recover. It's really though. ESP with due dates. It's hard re ur carrer. I struggled with letting that go a bit, well not struggle but I realised I just couldn't give it 100 percent anymore. I feel so much better in myself for accepting I'm not superhuman, what I've been through is awful and it will obv have some implications work/relationships. As my counsellor said its just a temp drop in my bar. And if and when I'm ready to give it More I will. But for now TTC and ivf etc is more imp and work will have to take a back seat. I don't know if that makes sense to u? But I took me ages to work it out and feel comfortable with how I wanted to pursue that side of my life.

Sunny good luck for tmrw will be thinking of u.

Doing my trigger shot 930pm tonight! Then no injections. Collection at 930 on Thursday-luckily had booked off work thurs and off Friday so have plenty of time To recover. Then transfer on Tuesday all going well. So glad it's my usual consultant booked to do the collection I feel more comfortanle knowing its him. Hope he does a good job! xx

Oh also re Acu snoopy. It's wonderful I feel so much better calmer and relaxed after it. My lady is wonderful and caring so I find it more therapeutic talking to her than the actual acu!!

Hope everything goes smoothly trying. Is the collection under general anaesthetic? I understand how they put the little embryos back but getting the eggs out has always baffled me. They're so tiny Confused

hula I'm in London too.

I think what upsets me the most is that DH doesn't even remember the date. I booked it off weeks ago because I anticipated it being an emotional day but he didn't bother so now I'll be on my own. He moves on so quickly, he asked me why I was crying today! I said I don't just grieve for an alloted period of time, sometimes it just hits me. Then when we were discussing the work scenario he said something like 'by then you will be on maternity leave'. I said 'well that's never going to happen is it' and he had a go at me for not being positive that we will have a baby. The truth is I'm not positive. The more I think about it the more it seems impossible.

I'm Sorry snoopy. Men deal with it in their own way ive found. Do u have parents or a friend in RL u can comfide in? U have us on here, I hope we can help. Rem the stats show with no tx Most women are sucessful. Ur young and have treatment for next time so hopefully u will be lucky soon. It's so hard to keep the faith though.

The collection is done under uss with a tiny probe and a heavy sedation or GA , im opting for v heavy sedation. Can't be bothered wondering if the GA might affect my chances of pregnancy! Seeing as I do obsess over everything!

Hmmm men Angry every so often there's an article about how scientists can manufacture sperm, when will they make it available!

On a good day the statistics cheer me up, as DH keeps reminding me I was so happy when Dr s said he was positive we would have a baby. On a bad day, like today, the bad voice tells me that only one present of women end up in our situation anyway. I just have to get through the bad days.

Do you ever look at the recurrent miscarriage thread? So many of the poor ladies on there are treated so badly by the nhs, makes me so angry.

Morning lovelies!
Good luck today Trying! Hope it all goes smoothly!

Snoopy - men are so different to women. I don't think my DH could tell me a due date for any of our mcs. Yet I know them all and they play on my mind all the time. I think because none of it has physically happened to them they can move on so much quicker emotionally. My DH has got better at dealing with my grief as the mcs have gone on.
Isis go on the rmc thread but there was so many people, all in various stages of treatment and I found it too hard to keep up and also at times quite disheartening. The NHS really need to buck it's ideas up where rm is concerned. I'm glad I found you ladies, this group is so supportive and knowing we're all on the same path is really encouraging.
I hope you have a better day today snoopy! DrS is positive, so try to bring some of that positivity on board.
I also agree with Trying that acu is brilliant, I use my lady as a bit of a sound board too, she should probably charge me more for counselling too! Definitely worth a try if only to help you feel better.

Egg collection tmrw snoopy!

Quick question were all of u taking Asprin when u got ur bFp? There is new evidence it can cause early miscarriahe, and I know Coventry are anti prescribing it. Mr s dismissed it but it's in my ivf literature about the miscarriahes saying it's new evidence yet I'm on it!?! And I'm having a panic! I know hope stopped it...rosa/sunny/snoopy/drtcc? Thanks guys.

And if anyone knows where this study is, I would like to read it as I can't find it! Was hoping to not have to ask these sort of questions and go with my consultant Protcol blindly but can't help it.

Oooh trying so exciting! Still can't get my head around those tiny eggs. Technology is remarkable isn't it.

Ah the aspirin debate. They had this on the rmc thread about a week ago. A lot of them were also talking about this new research but I personally haven't seen it. I worried about this as well but then I figured I would just follow the plan to the letter and see what happens. I don't have any known clotting issues either but I've seen a lot of women get clexane without a diagnosis. I did wonder whether I should ask about clexane, just to throw the kitchen sink at it Smile

Apparently my line manager is going to call me on Friday, insert fed up face

Thanks guys. I'll have a word with my ivf consultant tmrw before he sticks a tube and needle up my private parts! I think he may suggest omitting it around implantatiom days (if I get that far!) I'm having clexane and asprin , so yes kitchen sink!

Sunny hope u have some happy news for us x

Hi! Sorry so late checking in, took over 3 hours to get home - stupid m25! Only took 2 hours to get there!

Anyway all was ok, I thought I was 7+3, but was measuring 6+6 but said can easily be 3 days out. Also saw and heard heartbeat which was strong at 120 beats per minute! Was incredible and I still can believe it's happening to me! I'm trying not to get too excited as still a long way to go and things can happen but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic!

Had to have blood pressure taken as was slightly high but he has suggested getting a monitor for home so can take it regularly - anyone else had this?

Next scan on 27th june which will hopefully go quick as on hols from Saturday for a week!

Hope everyone is ok, will catch up tomorrow as tired from all the travelling and emotions!

Fantastic news Sunny - so pleased for you. Hang on to the optimism and keep remembering what you saw and heard :)
Trying - thinking of you today / hope all goes well! For what it's worth I started asprin at BFP as don't have sticky blood issues. No idea if helped but knew it hadn't helped in previous pregnancies before was on Mr S programme.
Snoopy - hope you find a great accu person. As others have said, if you get a good one it can help you physically and mentally chill out as they become your rock to talk to too.
Hi everyone else x

Advice please ladies.... So DrS said cyclogest 1 x daily, NHS consultant said cyclogest 2x daily. Started on one per day until I had the brown spotting, since then I've been taking it twice daily as was worried the spotting could be progesterone related. Anyway I have enough to get me to 12 weeks as per NHS instruction but DrS said to take it until 16weeks. Do I admit I've been taking more than he recommended or just say i've run out and then switch to 1x daily until 16 weeks (not admitting I went with NHS instruction over his!).

Awesome news Sunny!!!

Good luck today Trying, I'm sure everything will go smoothly. Looking forward to hearing about it!

Seeking, personally, I'd be tempted to take 2 daily... Or maybe alternate haha? Like one day 2, one day 1? Point being I'd want to take more to be 'safe'. Then eventually just admit it to Dr S. Though you'd think you could get cyclogest from NHS if they've told you to take 2 a day?

Finally catching up!! thanks for all your wishes - lets hope it all continues to progress well! However over the last couple of days i have had some odd coloured mucas when wiping (sorry if TMI), the rest of the toilet paper is clean but the actual mucas is not clear - can't decide if its greeny/yellow or beigy/brown - trying to not be too concerned but any thoughts?

Rosa - can't believe your NHS consultant said those things to you, how rude. I don't think it is any of her business really. I've decided I'm not going to tell the nhs what i'm doing. My gp has a letter from Mr S (actually my gp has been very good and given me the pred and progesterone on prescription :)) but unless they ask I won't be saying!

I started asprin once i got bfp - but that was just coincidence really as i was off all my drugs due to DH's issue. I haven't done much research in to it so have no real thoughts either way. I'd ask your ivf consultant and let him guide what you do.

Sorry you are stuggling snoopy, we have all been there. You just have to do what is best for you x Maybe counselling would help you to express all your feelings and talk it through with someone external to the situation? Look after yourself.

Seeking - my scan is at 11.30! Probably miss each other, would have been funny if we were next to each other! How many weeks are you now? Good luck for today - i'm already worrying about the next one! As for the cylogest - no idea - i'm sure you can get some from nhs if they are telling you 2 a day?

Hope everyone else is ok - drttc, hula....hope...

I have had all my cyclogest from the NHS but they've said I only benefit until 12 weeks and gave me enough for 2 daily until then, which I've been doing. But drS said 1 daily until 16weeks. I doubt NHS will give me more considering I've had what they suggested.
WOuld have been funny to bump into each other Sunny Smile
I've also had funny coloured mucus on/off and DrS said not to worry too much as pregnancy seems to be developing well regardless. It's still worrying though

i'd just ask mr s for more - if he asks why you can tell him, if he doesn't you don't have to say anything!!

He kept me waiting for nearly half an hour yesterday which was annoying, the patient before me went in a 3.20 and came out a 3.35, my appointment was at 3.30, but didn't get called in until 3.55!!

Have just emailed Luoise about my blood pressure monitor so asked about the discharge, but hopefully i'll be like you seeking and it'll be nothing to worry about.

Hey guys.

All went well. Was straightforward and I was totally knocked out and don't rem a thing. I'm just having some period cramps now but it's totally tolerable. Much more straight fwd that I thought.

They got ten eggs which is fair/good. I was hoping for a few more but it's more imp they r good quality and my consultant seemed happy. Just hope they r healthy and mature! Going to spend day lying in sun and Gonna eat lots of tasty food as treats today!

Seeking I would just tell mr s u are taking 2-he advises 2 when people spot anyways and u did spot. He won't mind he knows we are anxious ladies and prefer to throw everything at it
Sunny don't worry re ur mucus u have had a good scan and so that should reassure u. In pregnancy cervical mucus thickens and u get more so u will just be gettingn a normal response.
