Fantastic trying ! Go embies go !!

Drttc · 13/06/2015 10:54

Yay trying!!!! Does that mean you have 6 doing well at the moment?

Seeking I just bought some Ubiquinol Co10, it's commonly given to ivf-ers to improve egg quality. (Picture attached) x

Immune /natural killer cell treatment when ttc or pregnant (aka the 16th pred thread!)
Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 11:20

They grade the embryos. And one is a lower grade but the other 5 are strong! She said grades change daily but for now things were looking good :)
It's day 3/4 they start dying...But as long as I have one on day 5 im happy! I just hope I have one.

Started my meds today
Asprin
Clexane
Metformin
Pred
Hydroxy
Dex (instead of Pred)
Profesterone three times a day!!!

Ps did anyone use progesterone rectally. Sorry for question!

Drttc · 13/06/2015 11:28

That's great news! Fingers crossed!! Clexane is a blood thinner right? What's Metformin? Have you been on hydroxy for a while now? I've just added the ubiquinol today, folate (instead of folic acid, as it's meant to absorb properly), vit D, pregnacare plus, vitamin B6, pred, prog, aspirin, hydroxy. Proper drug cocktail!

Trying, I use to do prog vaginally then tried it rectally & have never gone back (no pun intended). No mess, no worries!

Drttc · 13/06/2015 11:29

*the vit B6 & folate are both recent additions (this week) as well after doing some research.

Seekingmiracles · 13/06/2015 11:42

Right I'll get Amazon. Going to concentrate on getting in tip top condition so that hopefully next time we're ok. If I can do as much as possible then at least I can't look back and say I didn't try.
Fantastic news Trying! Keep strong little embies!

Seekingmiracles · 13/06/2015 11:52

Also doing some research on DEHA... Anyone tried it.
www.centerforhumanreprod.com/services/infertility-treatments/dhea/benefits/ This website has some interesting reading.

Drttc · 13/06/2015 12:30

Wow Seeking, DEHA looks like it has so many benefits! Are there any particular brands/forms that are recommended? I know sometimes you need to make sure to get the right kind/version of certain vitamins.

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 12:48

Hey guys
My colleague had ivf. Her amh was low for age-she was 33 but runnin an amh for 37year old. She had to take dhea for 3 months before. She did and it made no diff to her amh! But her ivf worked and one beauitful baby boy. Who knows if it gave her a boost but the figures didn't reflect it. But ivf clinics do seem to like it. U have to get it from USA I think. It's a testoerone derivative so spots and hair on chin are side effects!
Hydroxy started today im not on it for nk cells it's something to do with the placenta so didn't need to start it as early. Didn't quite understand!

Seekingmiracles · 13/06/2015 13:33

i've ordered some after a bit googling from Biovea. If you search mumsnet for it quite a few old threads pop up. I'm going to speak to my acupuncturist about it on Thursday and see what she says and maybe start at the end of the week. It does seem to be used be quite a lot of ivf clinics. I want it more to improve my egg quality so there's less risk of chromosomal issues to ruin things.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/06/2015 15:13

Thanks for all your kind words. They really mean a lot.

trying you are a very long way off from this but would you and DH consider donor sperm?
You already have an embycam!? That is so cool and now you know that they are good strong ones.

seeking how was your Jurassic park? Does the main character really have pet velociraptors?
I really hope that the erpc goes smoothly and they manage to do the testing. The nhs frustrates me because so much comes down to how much the patient is willing to fight for a decent standard of care. I know that they are stretched but there seem to be a lot of staff who couldn't care less. I see it a lot of the time at work, especially with elderly patients. What worries me specifically about our situation is that there are numerous studies that show TLC from medical professionals significantly improves our chances of having a baby. I still haven't heard anything about my nhs referral.
When is your puppy coming home? Can I ask how you found your breeder? I've looked at the kennel club website and they only have a few listed. I want to start sending out emails introducing us and finding out when puppies may be available.

Well we were painting an outside wall this morning. As usual the cats were following us around and both decided to run down the wall and run inside leaving blue footprints everywhere! They do this every time we paint something haha we bought them a load of new toys yesterday and they are very pleased, have to look after my fur babies.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/06/2015 15:44

Oh and I haven't tried the dhea but I tried ubiquinol, my brother used it when he was training to get into the army and said it helped his recovery time Hmm, but then I ran out. Maybe I should try it again.

Apparently research shows that clexane and heparin protect the trophoblastic cells that become the placenta. So I might pester Dr s for it next time, I've seen some women with no clotting issues using it.

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 16:17

Hi snoopy glad u found something constructive to do today. I hope it passes and u feel ok...
I'm taking clexane for that reason I know Coventry use it too. But don't think Mr s believes in it! Maybe ur local Rmc would give it? It's hard to know wot works or weather it's a combo...
im all bloated and feel awful! I really hope this is worth it and works!

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 16:19

Pa metformin was for a pa1 mutation they found. It's something my Clinic do. I'm homozygous which means I make too much pa1 and clot. So need metformin to lower pa1. Usually It's used for pcos. It's the worst drug ever! I've hated it but just be done.

Seekingmiracles · 13/06/2015 16:58

Hey Snoopy, hope you're ok today. Sounds like you're a lot like me...I e got two cats too who really are my fur babies! I googled German shepherd breeders and just looked through a lot of breeders. Double checked that puppies will be Kc registered etc. I think I'll get a feel when I go to actually see them in a fortnight. I think a lot of the time you get a feel for a breeder.. As long as the puppies are kc registered, well socialised and have had their first injections I think you'll be ok. He'll come home at the end of JulySmile
Jurassic Park was really good. Yes the raptors are kind of pets but not. He 'trains' them but respects that they're 'wild'! It's well worth watching. Bloody ridiculous at times but entertaining and requires no brain power.
I've decided to pay the £365 to get DrS' lab to do the karotyping. I'm worried it'll get.l lost in the NHS system so we'll suck up the cost.Hmm

Hula2 · 13/06/2015 17:50

Seeking - i think its a very good idea to pay to get dr s lab to do it, would be the last thing u need if the nhs messed it up.

I ve been very temped to do dhea (re my age and low amh). I asked louise and she said there was minimal evidence for it but if you look at the centre for human repro (a top amercian ivf centre) they have some compelling arguments and even a liscenced product (fertinatal) but its a bugger to get it from the states.

Heres the link if u haven t already seen it:
www.centerforhumanreprod.com/services/infertility-treatments/dhea/whatis/

My nutrionist couldn t specifically recommend it because it was a hormone but said many women were recommend it by ivf clinics.

I think its preferable to monitor your dhea and testosterone levels but lots of women seem to take it without that.

Think once my last humira is out of the way i ll prob give it a go....

Trying was thinking about your ivf and its kinda like you get a years worth of ttc in 1mn, pretty clever really ! Fingers crossed for tuesday.

Seekingmiracles · 13/06/2015 20:02

Thanks Hula - i have no idea about my amh but I know my fsh was slightly raised. Not to a worrying level yet but I want to make sure I am producing good quality eggs. Ordered a book off amazon today called "Its starts with the egg' so will read that and adapt my diet accordingly.
What I really hope is that my cycle goes back to normal quickly. That's one of my biggest issues. My body seems to take ages to settle after a mc... I'm going to ask my acupuncturist to do some intense balancing on thursday.... on all levels. Physically and emotionally.

Hula2 · 13/06/2015 20:46

That s a good book and has lots of sensible diet and supplement suggestions.

Good idea re your acupunc, its a pain when your cycles dont settle down, fingers crossed she can work some magic.

Hula2 · 13/06/2015 20:47

Snoopy hope you ve got thru today ok. Its so hard. Thinking of ur little angels. x

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 20:49

Hey guys. My parents took us for dinner to distract us and it's was great and I manged to forget for a few mins but then I started panicking about the embies and stressing that tmrw when they ring they tell me the quality has massively dropped and there's nothin left to transfer! (Am I being silly!??)

Seeking what was ur fsh? Mine was 6.5 but acupuncture helped bring it to 5... it stayed at that now I also find that my periods settle well with Acu so I hope urs do too...Mr Shehata doesn't like u getting preg st away incase u were wondering when to TTC, I find a few months break is good for my mind but everyone is diff.

Hula when does SO start? I'm really excited for u! I hope it happens!

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 20:56

I'm feeling weirdly protective over them. Also prob a bit silly! I want them inside me so I can look after them!

Hula2 · 13/06/2015 21:07

Ahh Trying, i m sure they ll be fine and growing well. If they d had any doubt they d have done the transfer today. My friend had 3 of 5 fertilise and they let them go to day 5 and your chances are much better with blasts so try not to worry (i m sure i m be worrying just the same !).

My last fsh was 10 ! Mr s wasn t bothered but i don t want it any higher....

Will be starting SO next cycle and i m 7 dpo now so should be in just over a week !

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 21:24

im excited for ur SO. Have u given ursrlf a number of months u will do. I hope ur lucky quickly! I think 4/5 is usual...

Seeking it is more Money but at least u know that it won't go wrong and it will give u very vital info. I remember worrying about getting the results incase it was a boy or a girl :(

Yeah they said they needed 4 good ones today to transfer on Tuesday. Hence they booked me in today incase they were a bit pants or 3 died. we have 5 out of 6 which are looking good, although not perfect I'm proud of them! She said they wouldn't wait for a day 5 if they had a worry we wouldn't have one. So I should chill out! I'm dreading tmre phone call my heart was ppounding. If this doesn't work im going to be highly stressed :( I hope we have something to freeze incase my DH sperm dissapears! Snoopy u asked about donor-it's not something we would do....

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/06/2015 21:27

Thanks hula, that really means a lot. I hope you're doing well on the meds, when do you finish them?

trying I think it's perfectly understandable to be anxious, you'd have to be made of stone not to be.
I still haven't heard anything regarding a referral to a recurrent miscarriage clinic so I will have to chase that up.

seeking sometimes something lighthearted is good. We went to see 'london road'. It was good but pretty depressing.

I feel more nervous about getting a puppy than having a baby haha

I think I'm going to write a plan to start getting my life back on track.

You'll all be very proud of me that I've resisted the pressure to go back to work tomorrow because I don't feel ready. I'm speaking to an OH nurse on Monday.

Tryingno1 · 13/06/2015 21:31

Well done snoopy. Is ur supervisor still ringing on Friday? U go back when u feel ready!
