Thanks choc It was the same with most of my pregnancies tbh but it is like a terrible addiction!! Grin Even though I know it is too early I can't bloody help myself!! Blush

Because I am using the progesterone cream i need to wait until 14dpo and test so that i can stop the cream if not pregnant. Why is the tww much longer than the previous 2 weeks???

choc sorry if i have missed it but have you told anyone in rl? Exciting times!

Welcome rubberduck Smile

chocfireguard · 06/06/2015 20:47

Pink, I'm now really confused. I'm reading all sorts of conflicting things on herbal teas and peppermint tea in particular. I am going to suck it up and put up with water, I think. Though it does seem lime fruit teas are ok... Thank you for raising it as I might not have delved Smile

Rubberduck, you couldn't have chosen a lovelier bunch of ladies who love nothing more than to poas morning, noon and night Grin

nickynackynoo31 · 07/06/2015 00:25

welcome rubberduck

nickynackynoo31 · 07/06/2015 00:26

choc....loving your description of us Grin Grin .....couldn't of put it better myself x

pinklady26 · 07/06/2015 08:19

Morning everyone.

Oh I know choc I only drink herbal teas so I don't know what to do. What is worrying me is green tea and folic acid. I also drink fennel and that seems to be a no no.

Hope everyone else is on course for their BFP :)

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 09:08

Morning ladies!!! So I managed to resist the urge to poas this morning!!! unlike yesterday Grin

Cd23 for me. 9dpo. Days are passing like a jail sentence Grin

Have sore boobs, feel yukky, belly looks like a parachute but I know the progesterone cream can cause all these symptoms. Not sure if that is maybe a good thing as at least I am not getting too hopeful yeah right

Where are all you ladies at?

Fx for lots of BFPs this month. Hopefully choc has started the BFP ball rolling!!

Does any drink redbush tea? I usually drink earl grey and lady grey but have been trying to cut down to 2 a day and having redbush in between as it is naturally caffiene free. Must google it.

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 10:40

Redbush is a good option shoos! Also, been looking at guidance on green tea, and basically it is ok...lower caffeine than tea, so definitely a preferable option, but because it's not caffeine free, they don't rave about it... Cant find anything on it affecting folic acid tho...

Shoos, as if af/bfp symptoms weren't confusingly similar, you must be going spare with that added in the mix. Fx for you!! Any sign of a cold??

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 11:21

Ok I might be all dizzy brunette here but did i mention the cold before? Can't look back easily on phone.

I have had a cold past few days. Why do you ask???

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 11:24

Sorry Shoos, you did say you felt yuck, but I didn't know I that was sicky or tired or what.... I started with a sore throat and now have a cold...Hmm

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 11:32

oh yeah choc sorry I wasn't very clear there! Yeah yuk as in no appetite first thing and sensitive to bad smells!! Like dh this morning!! He was at a 'Dads' night last night and this morning he is rough and the smell of garlic and alcohol coming from him made me want to gag!! But i can be like that in the mornings before af comes.

The symptoms of progesterone are just cruel!!! The tww is such a killer!! I am trying to keep busy knitting for my friend who had a baby girl on Thursday and a cardi for my other friend's 18 mnth old dd. Good to have a distraction that isn't looking at prams online Grin

How you feeling choc ??

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 11:33

Sorry all, I keep meaning to ask....do you mind me still hanging around? I am really aware that I might now be one of those really irritating people we were mentioning in rl....?? I am just so terrified of a mc and have really enjoyed having you all to chat to. Do let me know, though, if you find my presence is as irritating as my DH does!!

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 11:40

Shoos, wish I could knit! My mother has tried teaching me on no less than 7 occasions. I am a lost cause....

Hmmm...is the cold a symptom of progesterone too? I was hoping that it might br a tick in the bfp box and not in the progesterone one?

We should all take up a different tww hobby and compare notes on effectiveness! Marks for distraction, entertainment, ability to avoid caffeine/alcohol/low fat dairy, and bonus marks if it is an aphrodisiac....

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 12:01

Well I am hoping the cold is a sign now choc,Wink

I had never knitted more than a holey scarf until a few years ago. I love a knitted cardi on wee girls so asked my mil witch that she is but thats another thread to knit one for my dds for Christmas. She was reluctant so we agreed she'd do one and I would try too. So i knitted my first jumper. Youtube is amazing. I have now knitted lovely cardis for my girls and i find knitting really therapeutic. So many beautiful things you can knit these days. Gorgeous wool that is machine washable and some can go in dryer too!!

This is the most recent one i did for dd2.

Who wants to buddy up...thread 2!
inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 12:03

nb. Knitting is definitely NOT an aphrodisiac Grin

pinklady26 · 07/06/2015 18:58

Hello everyone,

I found this really helpful artical on what teas are safe: eatdrinkbetter.com/2012/12/27/tea-pregnancy-which-ones-are-safe/

choc of course it's ok for you to stay! Hopefully we can all move together over to the pregnancy board :)

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 19:42

Sorry to hear you drew a short straw on mils, shoos! Such a cute cardi!!! Almost makes me tempted to give youtube a go...

Pink, really useful, thank you. Liquorice and peppermint has been binned and I'm hoping no damage has been done Sad

rubberduck, by my estimation, fertile window isn't far off...are you using opks, or just dtd loads?!

issie, nicky, how are you??

chocfireguard · 07/06/2015 19:43

Yay! Finally worked out the bold thing!

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 20:11

choc meant to say, of course you should stay!! You must!! And get knitting!! Youtube is amazing!! Just think of all thise gorgeous babies things you can knit. I saw a pattern for a gorgeous simple blanket of little squares all knitted together in lovely colours! Something like that would be lovely to do while you are pregnant.

So everyone else, who is on tww? Who is busy dtd?? I'm on cd23 and counting down to otd.

Issie339 · 07/06/2015 20:33

Hi everyone

I'm now back from the hen weekend, managed to survive! A bit gutted, we didn't manage to dtd yesterday before I left (dd being a nightmare toddler and it just didn't happen) so thinking my chances are slim this month now as that was the day after my solid smiley on the opks. Have dtd cd9,12,14,16 (positive opk cd14) and going to try for tomorrow and tuesday too so I guess there's some chance but not feeling hopeful. 31 day cycle so otd will be 22/06

Shoos great knitting, that's going to look so cute on your DD. Sounds like you have a lot of potential symptoms, hopefully it's due to a BFP not progesterone cream. What date are you going to test, is it 11/06?

Welcome rubberduck.

How's everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 21:22

Hi issie i think your dtd dates look good and well timed. Are you charting your temp? I had the positive opk on cd 13 but as dh works away during the week could only dtd on cd11/12 and cd14. Funny if I didn't want to get pregnant I would be so worried yet because i really do I am thinking there is only a tiny chance. Confused

OTD is cd28 so 12/6/15 but my cycle is usually closer to 30 days so should maybe wait until 14th. Of course I will never be able to wait that long in reality! Grin

The tww is so weird. It feels like you have run a race and now you are waiting to hear if were placed or not. So hard to not notice every possible symptom no matter how small. Today i was convinced my breasts felt like i was getting a 'let down' feeling, like you do when breast feeding. It was really weird. I feel hyper sensitive to every little thing going on in my body.
Is anyone else feeling like this?

Issie339 · 07/06/2015 22:10

Thanks shoos just feeling a bit down about it all already and I'm not even in the tww yet- doesn't bode well. No I don't temp or anything, just clearblue OPKs, by my dates I should be ovulating Monday but who knows.

inmyshoos · 07/06/2015 22:25

Fx for you issie you never know, it could be your lucky month. One time I conceived after one episode of dtd. I know because dh worked away then too and we only dtd once when he was home. It jyst happened to be around ovulation. I remember thinking mid deed 'ooo i think i might be in my fertile phase' and two weeks later i had a bfp. So remember it only takes one lucky time!! Fx

nickynackynoo31 · 07/06/2015 22:44

Hi guys.
nothing to report from me. still not.sure where I am 100% in cycle and had some brown discharge today sorry tmi.......so just dtd and seeing what happens at min for us x
