Hi Issie has he got named yet?

Got the pram a few weeks back, and also got a chico next to me cot and a car seat. There are plenty of things we haven't got yet though, like a moses basket and stand for downstairs, sling, changing bag/mats, baby monitor, bases for car seat etc etc etc. We spent today organizing our stuff and moving it out of the spare room to make it his nursery. And have chosen the paint. So lots to keep us busy.

My last day in is 34+5, really struggling now though with back pain or I would be planning to stay later than that. x

Issie339 · 27/03/2016 20:57

Yes he has a name, Theodore (Theo) Grin It really suits him.

Sounds like you're getting pretty organised violet it's so exciting all the decorating and shopping isn't it!! We've got the Chicco next to me crib and it's been great so far, only had a moses basket for DD and this is way better. Are you getting a swing or bouncy chair? We've got both from DD and they've great for putting baby in, we have one upstairs and one downstairs.

I really feel for you with the back pain Hun, it was excruciating with DD but nothing this time with DS thank goodness!

I love his name, one of my good friends had a Theo last year, he was one a couple of weeks ago, an is a little cutie just like your Theo! Does he have a middle name? We've decided on a first name, but the middle name is still under discussion. Think we should have one because if we ever has a DD then I want to use my late gran's name Lydia as a middle name, so think our boy should have one so he doesn't feel left out. Both me and DH don't have middle names and all our siblings do, he's number 3 of 3 and I'm number 3 of 5 children.

Yes I want to get a bouncy chair thing, think it will be good to pop him in if I'm having a shower etc, incase he's clingy.

Oh an I don't know what bedding your using but there is a good deal on hotukdeals at the moment for a two pack of grobags in 6-18 month size for £20. Think in the 0-6 month size its about £31 for a two pack, which isn't quite as good a deal.

That's good that you didn't have the back pain this time round! It gets so bad now when I'm driving I have a constant dull pain and another pain that comes on in waves of really intense pain which made me question if its braxton hicks?? But im not sure.

Issie339 · 31/03/2016 09:54

Yes his middle name is Lincoln, DD has 2 middle names but we stuck to 1 this time. Great that you've got the name sorted, we still hadn't decided when he arrived!!

Ooh thanks for the tip on the grobags, I'll go and have a look.

Hmm I'm not sure, I never had Braxton Hicks with either of my pregnancies luckily.

Hi ladies,
Sorry for my radio silence. We have had a rocky time this past week or so. We found out that Twin Two will be born with Talipes in both of his feet. Although we won't know the severity until he is born. The hospital have taken us through treatment plans and worst case scenarios etc. It was quite a shock at first cause having been for so many scans I really wasn't expecting something like this. I didn't really know anything about it either which doesn't help. Having read the literature and met with a work colleague whose son was also born with Talipes, I am now feeling OK and ready for the 'challenge'!
Honestly though I'm a bit worried about how I'm gonna cope on my own with two teenys and no family around when one of them is going to need more special care and attention. If any of you are religious - please keep Twin Two in your prayers xxx

Issie339 · 02/04/2016 19:24

mrs Flowers so sorry to hear you've had all this worry but great that you're feeling a lot more positive now. I'm sure you'll do amazingly when they arrive and cope so well but I can understand you feeling totally overwhelmed, I think anyone would. I'll be thinking of you and Twin Two hun, please keep us updated and chat to us here whenever you need to xxx

Mrs1986 · 11/04/2016 17:35

Ahh Issie, that's so lovely to hear. I wonder what my chances are of having 2 dream babies?
I am 23 weeks now and absolutely enormous already! I have put on 10lbs now in total, I'm scared to put on too much more cause I won't find any clothes to fit me!! The thing is, i can't cut down on what I'm eating cause I am always always starving hungry! And I can barely walk up the stairs without getting completely out of breath. Fingers crossed that as the babies grow my appetite will decrease??!??!

Violet88 · 12/04/2016 13:52

Issie glad everything is going well! How are you finding the recovery from the CS?

Nicky good luck!!! :)

Mrs sorry to hear that you have been given something else to worry about, I'm sure you will cope spectacularly though with whatever these little ones have to throw at you! xx

I had my 31 week midwife appointment today. Currently 31+4 and my not so little monkey is now measuring off the top of the growth chart. Previously he has always been in the 90th centile. So midwife has booked me a scan tomorrow at the hospital to check that it's not excess fluid. If its that it can be because of gestational diabetes or an infection. If its just a large baby its not a cause for concern apparently. So we will see what they say tomorrow. On the positive I get to see him again, not seen him since 20 weeks! And also get an estimated weight for him. xx

Violet88 · 12/04/2016 13:54

Oh an Mrs I'm with you on the breathlessness and I'm sorry to tell you I still have the hungry days now, so don't count on them going down as the babies get bigger!! :)

nickynackynoo31 · 16/04/2016 13:32

Hi guys
How are we all doing??

I'm coming up to ovulation time this next week so we shall see what this month brings Grin xx

Mrs1986 · 18/04/2016 18:43

Exciting times Nicky
Have you got a romantic week planned? Xx

Mrs1986 · 19/04/2016 09:10

I'm at the hospital this morning having my Glucose Tolerance Test! It's not fun at all!!

Got here at half 8 without having eaten or drink anything, then had my bloods taken, had to down half a litre of Lucozade and now have to wait for 2 hours without eating anything so they can take my bloods again.

I'm already sooooo hungry and so are my little hungry hippos. Although I bet they're enjoying the sugar rush.
I am counting down the minutes to 10:50.... This is yuk!!!

Violet88 · 21/04/2016 21:05

Hi Mrs I had my second glucose tolerance test today, and my little one also enjoyed his lucozade!! I had to have another as baby is measuring big and they wanted to check I haven't gone on to develop GD since my last test at 25 weeks. (33 weeks tomorrow) How many weeks are you now? Had a repeat scan yesterday too as my amniotic fluid levels were a bit high a week ago but they are more in normal ranges now, still got to go back for a further growth scan next week though.

Nicky good luck with ovulation time!!!
Issie hope all is ok with you and Theo x

Mrs1986 · 22/04/2016 09:40

Hi Violet,
I am 25 weeks tomorrow, I've got my next scan on 11th May, let's hope they are growing nicely so no more GTT. How are you feeling? I guess you'll get the result from the test today will you?
In a way it's great to be having the scans so that you can see your little man more often? Hope you are feeling relaxed. Xxx

Violet88 · 22/04/2016 19:04

They said I would probably get the result on Monday. Have you heard back from yours? Hope all is ok! Have you had any more thoughts on names for your two?

Yeah its good to be seeing him regularly, I keep forgetting to enjoy it though because I'm waiting for the midwife/sonographer to do her measuring and tell me if there is anything to worry about or not, and then by the time I think that's my baby and start concentrating on him the scan's over!! But next time I will try to just enjoy seeing him!!

Got midwife appointment on Tuesday, meeting with work about mat leave later on on Tuesday, scan on Wednesday and NCT on Saturday and Sunday this coming week, so a very baby filled week!!

Mrs1986 · 26/04/2016 09:20

They gave me the results the next day. All clear. Have you heard from yours?
Some thoughts on names but nothing concrete. When we do decide on names though we won't be telling any of our family and friends which I think is frustrating a few of our family members, but we just don't want to know what they think of the names!!
Hope all of the scans and tests are going ok?
We start NCT this time next week, I'm looking forward to it!

Xxx

nickynackynoo31 · 04/05/2016 21:03
