vi mrs hope you two ladies ate doing well xx

Violet88 · 10/02/2016 20:50

Lovely to hear from you Duck and glad you will soon be back in the game. Will keep checking back to see how you both are getting on.

I'm fine, started to finally feel him moving this week at 22 weeks (a bit late but I have an anterior placenta). 23 weeks on Friday and only yesterday had some definite baby kicks! So that is very exciting!!

Mrs hope you and the twins are still doing great! Are you ok, any MS?

Mrs1986 · 11/02/2016 08:25

Hey,
How exciting for you!!
I'm just shy of 15 weeks, and still struggling with sleep, but in general I'm suffering a lot less nausea.
Time feels like it's speeding up! We've got so much to do before the twinnies arrive! When is your due date again Violet?

Issie339 · 13/02/2016 15:24

Hi everyone, I didn't realise this thread was still going as i couldn't find it for ages!! I've just spent 25 minutes reading through the last 4 months to catch up!

violet wow a baby boy how lovely! So glad everything is going well. How are you feeling?

mrs wow!!!!! I couldn't believe it when I read your news, how fantastic!! Was it the preseed?? Grin Wink So sorry to read about the third baby a few months back Hun Flowers How are you feeling?

nicky sorry you haven't had your bfp yet. It took me 8 months to get my bfp with this baby after getting pregnant very quickly with DD so I know exactly how you feel. I was tearing my hair out with frustration and was convinced there was something wrong but I guess sometimes it just takes a little longer. Really hoping this is your month.

duck so sorry to read everything you've been through Flowers life can be so unfair sometimes. I hope you have a fantastic, relaxing time in Florida with lots of dtd Grin

Well I'm 34 weeks now so nearly there! I can't believe it! I'll be having an ELCS (as we had a bit of a disaster with DD's birth) so that means I've only got 4-5 weeks until he arrives!! Shock Oh and yes, it's definitely a 'he' Grin I finish work next week and CAN'T WAIT! I'm really starting to struggle now, lots of aches and pains etc. This baby is measuring big and I'm only a size 8 (well usually I am!) so that's a lot of baby to carry on my small frame! Haha

nickynackynoo31 · 14/02/2016 11:00

issie how fantastic to hear from you. So glad your doing well and soon to meet your little man...I bet your so excited.

I have been extremely frustrated over the past few months but after a conversation with my doctor I feel better about things so just taken a step back no more opks tests as they were driving me mad and just see what happens.

Hope you other ladies are well xx

Issie339 · 14/02/2016 14:32

Hi nicky. Yes super excited to meet this baby now, I think he's going to be a little bruiser as he's big and doesn't half kick me! Struggling with names though, need to start giving it some serious thought now I think.

So glad you're feeling better after talking to your doctor. The month I got my bfp was the only month I didn't do opks, we hardly dtd and were at Centre Parcs so I was drinking, on water flumes etc. Nature is a funny thing isn't it!

Hi all, long time no see!!
I am doing really well thank you!! I am 16 weeks now and have just found out we are having two boys! Can't believe I'm not going to have a daughter but the more I think about the boys the happier I am. I am so excited!!
Glad to hear from all of you.
I've attached some new pictures of the twins xxx

nickynackynoo31 · 20/02/2016 19:06

Aw mrs what.beautiful little boys...it's an all boy thread at present. I'd love a little girl as I have 2 boys but what will be will be.
We've hardly dtd again this month due to kids being ill and us being ill so think it's a no go this time again but I'm not stressing too much I'm being relaxed about it all. It will happen when it happens and if it doesn't then I have 2 boys who I love dearly.....Altho I've already bought things so it would be a bit of a bugger lol xx

Issie339 · 21/02/2016 10:31

Ahh mrs lovely scan pics! 2 boys, how fab! Any name ideas yet? We're really struggling with boys names so I can't imagine having to think of names for 2!!

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 21/02/2016 18:47

Thanks ladies!

Nicky I was absolutely full of a cold the month we got pregnant!

Issie absolutely no idea on names at all!! Looking for inspiration from everywhere! What kind of names do you like?x

Issie339 · 21/02/2016 21:29

I've only got 4 weeks to go and still struggling with names!! Confused I tend to like modern-sounding (even if they're not modern!) or American-ey names. Tentative shortlist includes Theo (Theodore), Lincoln, Toby (Tobias)...maybe Dexter, Oscar. I'm not 100% on any of them! How about you?

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 23/02/2016 14:37

I've got absolutely no idea! I love your names though!
One thing on the name Theo - my boss' kid is called Theo, and I always (by genuine accident) call him Leo, and my boss says literally everyone does it. That everybody has this strange Trigger-Dave moment when it comes to his son's name!!

The good thing about some of your names - like Lincoln - is that they won't have loads of kids in their school called it. Unlike names like George or Jack which are much more popular.
How time has flown/ how are you feeling with 4 weeks to go?x

Violet88 · 23/02/2016 16:23

Hello, nice to hear from you Issie wow not long for you to go now!! Do you have a date for your section.

Congratulations on your boys Mrs, how strange that all the thread babies are boys!! I'm 24+4 today and due date is 10th of June, when is yours? Do you know what kind of delivery you want yet?

Nicky wishing you loads of luck that you get your good news soon, maybe you can break the trend an end up with a girl?? But I did read that after two of the same gender, the chance of the opposite gender slightly reduces, not sure how true that is though!!

I've also booked onto an NCT course for the end of April/beginning of May and have an expectant parent event tonight.

Also I have a name, had a name for a boy an one for a girl by about 15 weeks, so when we knew he was a boy, we knew what he was called too xxxx

Mrs1986 · 23/02/2016 18:48

That's so exciting Violet

Twins are usually considered full term at 36/37 weeks so it's likely to be around the second week in July.

When we get much closer to the time they will look at the position of the babies and advise whether I can try for a natural birth, or whether it has to be a c-section. It's much less textbook, which can be annoying, but also is lovely as I am still having scans regularly so I get to see them often.

I'm anaemic at the moment so feeling really rubbish and totally feeling sorry for myself!!

You're lucky you've decided the name... I think we've got our work cut out finding two!! Nicky what are yours called?xx

Issie339 · 23/02/2016 19:16

mrs hmm good point about Theo/Leo- thanks...although Leo is nice too! It's so difficult!! I'm feeling ok, very bulky and tired now though so chasing my toddler around is getting pretty difficult! Sorry to hear you're anaemic and feeling yuck Flowers

Hi violet. Yep my CS date is 21st March- eek! So exciting that you already have a name, we had our name for DD quite early on but really struggling this time. I did NCT with DD and it was good, I met a really good group of people and we're still really good friends now.

nickynackynoo31 · 23/02/2016 23:28

Glad to hear everyone is doing good. Sorry your feeling yuk mrs...

My boys are called jaden and Jimmy.

I think if I actually manage to conceive again I won't be bothered at the sex to be honest. I'm 6 days from af due but think I will just see what happens that day as I've been more or less bang on time last few months and if it doesn't arrive will just go on how I feel. I'm not going to symptom spot (or try not to anyway!!) But we will see if that happens Smile xx

Mrs1986 · 29/02/2016 18:51

Hi All

Nicky how did you get on with AF.

I am really really struggling girls. I am inches away from breaking down in tears. In 10 weeks I have probably had a handful of good sleep nights. I just can't cope! It's soul destroying!!! :-(

Issie339 · 29/02/2016 20:17

Oh mrs so sorry to hear you're struggling FlowersBrew Lack of sleep is a real killer. What is it that's keeping you awake particularly and is there anything you midwife or doctor can do to help? Is it back pains, sickness, heartburn etc?

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 29/02/2016 20:41

It's been since the day we found out we were pregnant with triplets. At first I'm sure it was just worry that was keeping me awake, but then once we settled on the idea of twins, I was OK and not worried or stressed, but the sleep never returned.
The doctor thinks it's hormone related, and apparently it's more common than you'd think. At first the doctor suggested lavender oil, whale music etc, all of which I tried.
I've been getting really down about it because it feels like torture, I'm physically and mentally exhausted!

I have no trouble falling asleep, but I usually sleep for about 2/3/4 hours and then I wake up. I commute 45 miles to work and about 6 weeks ago I fell asleep on the motorway, since then I have chosen not to go in on the days where I've had a really bad night, but it's really tough feeling so guilty about missing work and I feel like no one understands. When I go in the next day I get asked 'are you feeling better?' and I feel like screaming.
My DH is starting to understand better now too, especially today as I've sobbed to him twice. Today is bad cause I've only managed 2/3 hours on Friday night, Saturday night, and last night...
Which is why I'm having a little outburst. Tonight I'm gonna try staying awake later so that I am less likely to wake up for a wee. That might help. And I'm gonna give that lavender oil another go!

Thanks for listening ladies xxx

Issie339 · 29/02/2016 21:08

Insomnia is so tough. You're definitely doing the right thing not going in to work when you're too tired to drive, it's really not worth the risk.

Things I've heard can help insomnia- warm bath just before bed. Stick away from screens for at least an hour before bed (it's something about the type of light they emit that stimulates your brain)- phones, TVs, iPads etc. A friend who had insomnia found listening to podcasts etc whilst falling asleep really helped as it made their mind passive rather than active.

Just remember it's not forever Hun, just a few months left, just get through one day at a time and think of those gorgeous babies.

nickynackynoo31 · 01/03/2016 10:06

Aw mrs so so.sorry to hear your having such a hard time. I know it's frustrating when people say enjoy being pregnant but not everyone does. I didn't either time as I had problems with both. I really hope you get some sleep soon and you find a solution.

Af arrived bang on time for me yesterday. I'm ok about it and look at it as at least something is working right. I really believe it's my weight which is stopping ovulation so today I'm back on the fat pills and diet. Booking docs appointment too to see what else I can do regarding diet. If I become pregnant in the mean time then brilliant. Xx

Mrs1986 · 01/03/2016 19:55

Thanks ladies. I love this thread for the support!
So I slept for a total of 5 hours last night - very broken sleep but at least it's something. Had a cry to my boss at work today. I'm so so so shattered tonight I'm sure I'll get some sleep.

Nicky I can't remember what your BMI was, and didn't you get tested for PCOS?
My BMI is 39, the doctors and midwives are all over it making sure they know I'm 'high risk' at every opportunity. I haven't actually gained any weight and I'm 17 weeks now x

nickynackynoo31 · 03/03/2016 09:42

Glad you managing a bit of sleep hun.

My bmi is 45 so massively over and I've not been tested for anything. When I spoke to doc last time she said as long as I'm having periods every month then I'm ovulating so won't do anything till 12 months which will be October. Xx

Issie339 · 03/03/2016 19:33

Glad you got a little more sleep mrs, really hope you start sleeping well again soon- pregnancy is such a strange thing, it does all kinds of weird things to you, sigh.

Sorry to hear AF arrived nicky that sucks Brew Good that everything is regular though, that is definitely a good sign.

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 03/03/2016 20:07

Nicky was your BMI lower when you get pregnant with you two DS? I guess the problem is that many doctors may assume that that's the reason behind not conceiving without really looking in to it! I had a friend who had that issue. They made her lose 5 stone before finding out that actually the problem was with her DH and not with her a but they refused to do any tests until she lost the weight. Afterwards she was happy that she'd lost the weight but sad that she felt it wasted a lot of time.
Like Issie said it is definitely a good sign that AF is regular - important to stay positive, it could happen at any time.
Xxx
