Hi everyone,

Here's our shiny new thread continuing from the old 'who wants to buddy up' thread (sorry, don't know how to link). I'm sure some regulars will be along in a minute and also anyone else who is ttc and would like some company is very welcome to join- we're very friendly!

Hi is anyone able to join this? I'm TTC #2 and have an 18 month old boy. I seem to have forgotten everything to do with TTC so I'm trying to get my head around it again!

Still got mild cramping on and off and had a horrible headache yesterday. A bit concerned it might mean AF coming early, as I had a really bad headache the day before AF came last month! Hoping its not that!!

Hi ladies,
I am doing fine thank you. The removal procedure went well last Tuesday, I had no bleeding at all afterwards, took a preg test on Friday and it was still bfp, I will take another test this Friday and hope for a bfn so that I can start all over again.
I will probably be more active on the thread once I am back in the game. I've been feeling a little bit down this week, I am looking forward to starting again!!

fx af doesn't show violet...I did another opk today and it was 2 lines again...2nd one really faint. think I will give them a miss for bit now and see what happens around the 20/21 after tww x

AF came today! She was three bloody days early as well. I'm not even feeling down about it, not yet anyway. I'm going to try to book a Dr's appointment for tomorrow or Friday, not about ttc but about my horribly painful and heavy af and also to get my iron levels rechecked as I used to be anaemic and want to make sure that this isn't affecting things for me. Then when they try to suggest the pill will help with these problems I can let them know I've been ttc for 6 months (9 if you include the first three months I was off the pill and we were still having sex, just not officially trying to conceive). Think going into official cycle 6 with never having any hint of a bfp is giving me the push to get these things checked! As much as I really hate going to the docs. When I've gone because I hate it that much I think I will reward myself with getting my hair done at the hairdressers!!

Also are these cycles regular do you think: 34, 28, 26, 28, 29, 29, 26

I finally got my bfn this morning! I've bought some opks and I will start taking them this weekend.

She prescribed me some tranexamic acid and this period has since been much lighter than usual, so it seems to work!! Obviously that's not dealing with the cause of the heavy periods just the symptoms though. Also she took my blood so will find out if my iron is too low next week.

She also said to come back when Ive been trying for 11 months if no result and she will start investigations! So that's good (and hopefully not needed).

Hiya Nicky what dpo are you? any symptoms?

AF just about tailing off now, tranexamic acid worked a treat! And blood results should be back on Thursday, so will find out if im anaemic again, which could be affecting ttc. Luckily if it is a bit of iron should soon sort the problem out!! Me and OH have decided this months strategy will be eod pretty much throughout the next 3 weeks starting Wednesday.

Spent this weekend swapping the bedrooms at home, we are moving into the back bedroom and the smaller front bedroom is becoming the guest room, and the bigger front bedroom is going to be a "man room" for OH to keep all his crap in! He has a lot of stuff!! He's having a sofa bed in there too, as it will also double up as the emergency guest room when we hopefully can turn the other front bedroom into a nursery! Grin

It is very quiet, hopefully we will have some more people join us soon!!!

What a hard few weeks its been for us all! Glad to hear youre okay mrs, Vi i hope that it all sorts itself out soon!! How are you nicky?

Im waiting patiently for AF, will be first one since mc but had a wee mishap the other night whilst a bit drunk! Wasnt planning on trying again until i had another period and got my body back to normal! Its been rather emotional!

Its so hard when you want something so much aswel. But we should be moving at the end of the month and were waiting patiently to see our new flat!
Hope you girls are okay, il still check in! Xxx

You're right Sparks it's been rubbish!
I am desperate to be pregnant again. I get sudden pangs of sadness when I hear people announcing pregnancies, or little things I see on TV.
I have been using opks for a few days now. I feel a little bit lost, at the moment there is nothing I can do, it's not in my control. I guess that's probably how everyone feels in the early part of their cycle?
I have absolutely no idea when I will see a nice line on the opk, but As soon as I do, I have no intention of leaving the bedroom!!

Hi guys. sending hugs to everyone and hoping this thread has some good news soon...

well I am 14dpo if i did actually ovulate when I thought I did so around the time to take a test Confused .
I am however feeling very nervous and have completely put it off today. I've had left sided stomach pains for last 2 days and had 2 bouts of pink spotting since wed too. may test in morning but will see what is happening down there first in morning lol xx

Had to have a slight name change due to the changing passwords/hacker issue, and I couldn't remember which email address I'd used to sign up!! So now just Violet88.

Try 6 is currently underway, but only on CD12 today, but dtd twice already on CD9 and 10. Not doing any opk's as haven't got any in, but just going to try for eod until at least CD24 and hope that will cover it.

no test done yet. trying to hold out as long as possible....Confused .
had little bit more pinky spotting today so will just see what happens over next couple of days I think (saying that resolve may crumble and I may test tomorrow lol ) x

Duck any updates? Hope you are ok and if you are pregnant it is not like last time. Could it not just be too early for a positive test if your not due on for another 2 days?

Nicky any testing done yet? Can't believe you are able to hold out for so long!!!!

CD14 today, dtd so far on CD9,10,12 and 13. Yesterday had quite a strong looking opk but todays was much lighter even though I hadn't had a drink/been the loo for 4 hrs? So will see what tomorrows is like. Usually get a positive on CD15, so not sure why its gone lighter today?

Duck from what I've read I would agree with what you said. Implantation usually occuring between dpo6 and 12, average is 9. And then four days after implantation bleed been the earliest you could expect to have enough HCG for a positive test. But I'm sure you will test every day up until Saturday anyway! Good luck I really hope it works out for you this time, you definitely deserve a bit of luck!!

I'm a bit confused about my ovulation this month. I started testing on Cd13 and had a nearly positive opk, since then they have been really light, with another negative opk today, I thought today might have been the day because its Cd15 and i normally have a positive on cd15 and also because I've felt crappy all day, headachy and sickly. So either I ovulated early on CD12 before I started testing (if that happened I'm sure Ive got it covered) or ov is still to come???

Suppose I will have to feel better enough to dtd tonight as we had a night off last night! Me and OH had a chat yesterday and decided we will go the docs in Dec after four more tries if we haven't had any luck by then (as I came off the pill in Jan, even though I only count our "properly trying" cycles on here for the numbers!

well I've still not tested as I'm still having spitting (which has gone from pink to brown ) in last 2 days...sorry tmi...Confused
so I'm maybe thinking that could be af as I've had cramps too. so think plan of action is now start opks again and see if they revealed anything and go from there. any advice on when to start testing? ?? I'm classing today as cd6....or am I being completely barmy classing this spotting as my af after 98 days????? I've had 6 days which started off reddy/pink and has slowly turned brown???? xx

Nicky I don't know if its AF or not, but would start the opk's from whenever the spotting stops/now, and do them daily until you get one that looks nearly positive and then do afternoon and evening, so you don't miss it. Are you temping? Have you managed to pinpoint ov before during the last few months using opk's or temp?

I don't know whats going on with me still. Opk still negative today, but looked stronger than the last two days but probably not as strong as Cd13. I haven't temped this cycle, wasn't supposed to be opk'ing either as was planning a relaxed one, but then I changed my mind, but it was too late for temping. Definitely going to temp next month if I have no luck this time though.

An update: opks still negative over the weekend, today CD20 had some egg white cm and some right sided ovary region pain, so dtd just in case, didn't do another opk though. No idea where I am in my cycle, so just going to wait and see if AF comes now!!
