Hi everyone,

Here's our shiny new thread continuing from the old 'who wants to buddy up' thread (sorry, don't know how to link). I'm sure some regulars will be along in a minute and also anyone else who is ttc and would like some company is very welcome to join- we're very friendly!

Also you should be able to speak to someone overnight should you need to. At least where I worked the EPU phone redirects to the gynae ward after a certain time and you can speak to a gynae nurse. Hoping you won't need to though, but just in case you think you can't get advice after hrs. xx

Mrs1986 · 23/07/2015 17:54

I think the bleeding has stopped (touch wood), but I have still got some cramps.
DH will be home soon. He has been texting me all day.

Issie is doing a good job at keeping us all in suspense!!

Issie339 · 23/07/2015 18:06

Everything crossed for you mrs and I'm glad your OH is being a good support.

Oh no, haha, don't get too excited, I'll probably just blurt it out when he gets home!!

he's home now, we've had a good chat and made a plan for if we get good news and a plan for if we get bad news!
Bad news plan - get pissed and stay in bed!xx

aw mrs so sorry your having a rough time. try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know) I bled at 12 weeks until 20 weeks with 2nd and without no explanation. keep resting. sending hugs Thanks xx

congratulations issie see how much a relaxed month can work wonders....impressed you've not told oh yet...get him told lol xx

VioletIbiza88 · 23/07/2015 21:49

Issie my EDD would be 22nd of April if im successful this time. How good would that be to go over to the antenatal thread together after all these months on here. And Nicky too as we are the only ones left now from the original thread Sad . Speaking of the original thread, does anyone know what happened with Brooke by the way? Hope she's ok!

I'm going all out this month with the relaxed route, had three coffees today and a bottle of coke! Issie we've also decided to only dtd eod and see if that makes any difference.

Mrs how are you hun? x

bananafish81 · 23/07/2015 22:50

Mrs keeping fx for you, hope you’re resting up, sending massive hugs and thinking of you

Issie huge congrats!!

Well, the good news is that AF did turn up, obv a BFP would have been an amazing surprise, but AF turning up 14 days after my suspected ovulation meant I did indeed lay an egg! Hugely shocked to have ovulated my first cycle off the pill (given last time I came off I had one 9-month-long anovulatory cycle, after which I got my PCOS diagnosis), so am keeping fx that I O again this month.

Did mean I was able to have my Day 3 bloods done this week, seeing the gynae on Monday to get the results and will do an u/s to see how my ovaries are looking. Mainly hoping the AMH and antral follicle count isn’t a total disaster, it would be a lovely bonus if I got a hint of a dominant follicle gearing up for a possible ovulation this month!

Morning ladies,
I am ok for now as still living in hope. Not a lot of blood, and no cramps during the night. I wonder if it was this 'threatened miscarriage' thing. I will find out today. DH is at home with me today. He hasn't got an excuse ye though - he has literally never pulled a sucky in his life! Xx

Issie339 · 24/07/2015 08:01

Morning!

mrs Glad you've been ok overnight, let us know how your scan goes today, I'm really glad your OH will be with you hun.

violet that would be amazing!! Fx this is your month. We would really get on in RL with our shared love of coffee Grin I really just did what I wanted this month including water flumes on holiday and I even applied for a new job- probably not worth going for the interview now and it was a really good job!!

bananafish that sounds really hopeful if you ovulated this month, fx for your test results.

So I eventually got chance to tell OH last night- he's over the moon!!

Mrs a "threatened miscarriage" is a term that the medics use for any vaginal bleeding before 24 weeks of pregnancy, its not a diagnosis, just a name for that symptom. There are lots of causes that are not sinister, like breakthrough bleeding when your period would have been due. Keeping my fingers crossed for you today at EPU! Is it midday?

Issie Did you just blurt it out?

Banana good luck for your test results and congrats on laying an egg, lets hope you lay another one this month Smile

Issie339 · 24/07/2015 10:20

violet I said 'Come and look at this' (I always have stuff to show him when he gets home so he probably thought it was something mundane, new clothes for DD or something) and then I handed him the positive HPT Grin

Ahh that's fab Issie I am so pleased for you both!!

This seems to be the slowest morning ever! I can tell I'm really nervous cause I have had about 40 wees this morning! Hospital is about 15 minute walk from my house but it's raining heavily so will probably drive xx

Sad news.
Sack was there, measuring 17mm which is much smaller than it should be at almost 8 weeks. We couldn't see a baby, but he did see an area that the baby could be. He thinks the sack looks more like 5 weeks than 8, and if the baby had stopped at 5 weeks it would shrink down.
He is going to scan again next week but has advised high probability of miscarriage and he imagines I should pass the baby soon.

Oh Mrs I'm so sorry. Sending loads of hugs. I too am almost in tears for you here sitting at my desk. xxxxx

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 24/07/2015 13:21

I am having a few tears for myself too!
If you are preggers Duck that would be amazing and would give me huge hope.

I feel like this has all been wasted time! Does that sound awful? If the baby died ages ago I should have known then, and stop growing attached, get my head around it and move on like Duck has. Not sat here watching a bloody app every day and seeing how my baby is progressing.
I feel like a bit of a mug actually- I can't even have a proper miscarriage!!

so by a show of hands - who would have wine and who would hang on for the confirmation scan?!

P.s your "fuck" comment make me giggle Duck

Issie339 · 24/07/2015 13:33

Oh Mrs you're not a mug! How could you possibly have ever known? It's an incredibly difficult thing you're going through, please don't beat yourself up hun.

I really wouldn't hit the wine until it's all confirmed, if it's not 100% best to wait.

xxxx

The anticipation of 'the passing' is hard. Does it hurt very much? I better buy some black knickers, pads and paracetamol. Haven't used a pad since I was about 11!!
