Hi everyone,

Here's our shiny new thread continuing from the old 'who wants to buddy up' thread (sorry, don't know how to link). I'm sure some regulars will be along in a minute and also anyone else who is ttc and would like some company is very welcome to join- we're very friendly!

Hi littleiyla I was exactly the same AF was due on holiday by it mine hasn't turned up yet so fx it's the same for you!
Violet I work in property we are booming at the moment, what area are you from? It's a good time for the markets so keep positive I'm sure it will happen for you soon. Peak months are July / August so fx for you!
I really don't even want to test tomorrow as I don't feel any different or 'pregnant' at all and really not looking forward to the disappointment! Only doing it so I can drink wine on Saturday night knowing I'm not doing any damage! Thing is I don't feel even slight pre AF either?! Xx

Issie339 · 25/06/2015 20:24

Gahh, my phone won't let me copy and paste the stats list so I'll do it tomorrow morning on the laptop updated with the new details.

mrs sounds like promising signs, fx for you.

violet how lovely moving to be near the coast, I'm jealous and a nice big family house to fill with loads of baby Violets Grin You're quite a bit ahead of me this month, I'm only on cd2 so not starting the dtd marathon until next week.

Anyone calculated their EDD yet? Mine will be 1st April if I get my bfp this cycle.

OP posts:
Mrs1986 · 25/06/2015 21:21

Issie - mine would be 7th March.
We do have an April fool in my family x

VioletIbiza88 · 25/06/2015 22:28

Issie so AF did arrive then, was thinking you were still in limbo. 1st of April BFP how fab!

My EDD would be 24th March, so I now definitely won't be having a baby at 27 years old Sad but Hmm oh well moving on...

Belle good to hear that July/Aug are the peak times!

inmyshoos · 25/06/2015 22:37

issie Epo is evening primrose oil. I started taking epo, vit b complex, magnesium, calcium and zinc on cd 1. So far I am not impressed. Normally ovulate around cd14 with obvious signs. Currently cd 16 and not a hint of it. Opks all neg and temp remaining under coverline. Dtd often as possible but so pissed off i havent ovulated yet. My folks are coming to stay at the weekend. Dtd with them through the wall will be a bit Hmm

Feel like I am possibly trying too hard Confused

Dh now stressing because he read an article about older Dads having a higher chance of fathering children with Autism. He is only 41!! Can't help but have Bruce Forsyth pop into my mind!! He was still fathering children in his 70's was he not?? Grin

nickynackynoo31 · 25/06/2015 23:49

Aw shoos sounds like it's so complicated! Is epo supposed to be good for ovulation? I have some in the house!

Well according to my calendar app thing I have a high chance of pregnancy on the 30th & sperm lives up to 5 days?? but we're in a similar position to you shoos, my oh's little brother of 1 is coming over for a Sleepover at the weekend....so not so keen for the dtd marathon!! xxx

inmyshoos · 26/06/2015 13:22

Hi sparks

EPO is supposed to increase you fertile mucous. Had loads today but still no sign of ovulation!! Hopefully it will be soon.
Dh has reassured me he will manage a 'quiet one' Blush

Mrs1986 · 26/06/2015 15:46

I bought 2 x clear blue tests today. Shall I try a test in the morning? AF due latest Monday I think... Was going to do test in Tuesday morning.
The difference will be drinking or not drinking at a party on Saturday night ... What to do??

VioletIbiza88 · 26/06/2015 16:33

Mrs well if you test sat morning and its bfn it won't mean that your definitely not pregnant, so could give a false reassurance for lots of drinking?? Which apparently doesn't matter that much in first few weeks anyway but I wouldn't want to risk it personally. I suppose test and then if its a bfp fantastic and if negative, just be aware its not certain and a bit of moderate drinking wont do any harm if you go on to get a bfp.

Ha ha lol shoos at a"quiet one" Hope ov hurries up for you!!

Issie339 · 26/06/2015 16:50

shoos 'a quiet one' GrinGrin lols

mrs I agree with Violet, test Saturday morning but still take it easy Saturday night if you get a bfn.

I'm in the boring bit of the cycle at the moment, not even starting the dtd-marathon until next week. Makes me wonder what I filled my time with before I was ttc!!

OP posts:
Belle888 · 26/06/2015 17:01

Hi all I gave in this morning and got a BFN unsurprisingly! Not bothered about the negative in itself but more bothered that nothing is happening AF wise! Just waiting now for it to turn up so we can crack on with the next cycle! X

Issie339 · 26/06/2015 17:17

Sorry for the bfn belle totally sucks even if you're expecting it SadFlowers

OP posts:
VioletIbiza88 · 26/06/2015 17:18

Issie yes I know exactly, I'm trying to have a relaxed cycle and trying to think up what things I used to do and I can't remember!!!!

Belle sorry for BFN, try not to worry about AF, sure it will be along in no time at all. But I know how frustrating it is when you just want to get on with things!! What CD are you now?

Belle888 · 26/06/2015 18:15

CD35 which feels so long! Serves me right for being so bloody sure of myself I was like oh my cycles were always so regular il go back to normal straight away... Grrr. Luckily I stopped taking my pills a month before we were originally planning so I trying to fall myself into thinking technically I'm still a month ahead of myself lol. Something better bloody happen this weekend! I started using ovia though and it's really good. Defiantly be interesting to keep track over the coming months x

Mrs1986 · 26/06/2015 21:22

Chin up Belle, your body will sort itself out soon enough.

I will try to stick it out and see how I feel in the morning. I think I felt a bit of AF cramps earlier anyway.
I'm fascinated by my body now, I can't believe how much you get to know about your body when off the pill and ttc!

Mrs1986 · 27/06/2015 07:41

Well, I tested this morning, and BFP!!!
I can't believe it! Trying to drink a bit so I need another wee and can test again... But chances of false BFP on Clearblue have got to be non-existent right?? xxx

Mrs1986 · 27/06/2015 07:44

Sorry Duck, my page didn't refresh so I didn't see your post.
I am sorry to hear about your mum. I don't know much about chemical pregnancies, hopefully the other girls can be of more help. I do know that stress is bad for you though. Although telling a ttc woman to relax is like having a death wish- so I'm definitely not saying that!!

Belle888 · 27/06/2015 08:21

Sorry to hear about your mum duck, like Mrs I'm afraid I don't know anything about chemical pregnancies either.
OMG Mrs that's amazing! I did a clear blue yesterday and read the instruction / info leaflet about 100 times and it said the chances of a false positive were next to nothing but the chances of a negative are higher as there could just be too little of the pregnancy hormone to detect! Let us know how you get on second time! Do you have the digital one with the week indicator? X

Mrs1986 · 27/06/2015 08:38

I do have the digital ones. It was on offer in Boots 2 for £11. It says 2-3 weeks. It literally came up with 'pregnant' before I could put the blue cap on!
It must have been my double dtd day that dunnit!
I am now absolutely petrified. DH is a bit 'disappointed' as if you remember a few weeks ago I told you he wanted to go away on a long haul Christmas holiday and he thinks we can't go now. I've told him to wait and see what happens! Plus - there will be hundreds more Christmases!!

chocfireguard · 27/06/2015 08:39

duck, are you able to get an appointment at the gp and request a blood test? They may be reluctant (resources), but if you explain your symptoms? So sorry you've got this worry. FX for you Flowers

Super congrats mrs!!!! Clearly, it's all about the bruise!!

I decided against testing again. I am absolutely terrified!! How scary, completely overwhelmed this morning.
At some point I need to figure out what to do next... Book a scan??
