Belle I came off the pill in Jan to get ready to ttc, my first proper cycle was longer than normal too (34 days), but they quickly went back to 28/29 days.

I know 3 months isn't a long time, just got a bit too caught up in it all I think and let it take over! This month I'm going to try and focus as much as possible on other things in life and not obsess, so lets see how that goes. Issie have you started looking for a different job yet?

Violet - unless AF makes an appearance beforehand, I plan to test on Tuesday first wee xx

The first few cycles off the pill are notoriously random, so you may want to track things just to see how it is all readjusting down there!

Sounds like a good plan violet. Insane how something that doesn't yet exist can soon take over!

Hi all

Wondering if I can jump on this tread please! I am 6 dpo ttc #2 DD is 22 months. Cycle #1 after coming off the pill in March. I got a positive opk on day 14. DTD every day that week. From then I have had every single pregnancy symptom I can think of!! I have hidden my tests and trying my hardest to wait until the weekend to test

Must be all of our redicilous symptom spotting. Just showed DH my thigh bruise. He said he is no doctor but is quite sure that it's not a pregnancy symptom!

Thanks all, especially violet good to know that even if this cycle is 30+ It can still go back to normal after! I was hoping this one was going to be a normal 28 days and then start using opks but am a but wary of using them if my cycle days are all over the place. Has anybody on here caught the first month or know of anybody who did? Do you think if I haven't had anything by the weekend it's worth testing or am I building up for a fall?! X

violet I've updated my CV but I'm looking for a part time role and that's not easy in my industry so haven't found anything to apply for yet. Going to really crack on this week though. I think it's a good idea to have other things to focus on, anything particular going on for you to focus on? New house? Holiday?

Belle yeah people have caught first month on this thread before, Duck you did didn't you, without flicking back to the stats a couple of pages back I can't be sure. Also on our previous thread at least one person caught first month. Think it happens to about 20-30% of people depending on what you read. Try not to be too disappointed if it doesn't happen though, especially so soon after stopping hormonal contraception and without using any method of tracking your ovulation to time dtd.

Issie we are in the process of selling our house, but that seems at a standstill at the moment with no one having been to view for ages. Our only couple who did come back for a second viewing we have just heard have had an offer accepted on a different house. I did spend one of my previous tww's viewing lots of houses but theres really no point seeing any more until we have an offer ourselves. Also because of this we're not planning any holiday this year. So theres stuff going on in the background but not enough actually happening with it to take my mind of ttc. I'm trying to focus on going to see family members a bit more and getting all my ongoing professional development crap important stuff done for work. Also want to find a hobbie, but ideally one that is free!

I am currently cd 16 and no sign of ov. I have been taking EPO and wonder if that has delayed ov. Have heard that can happen. Was hoping it would improve my ewcm but not really seen any tbh but have noticed feeling wet although not slippy wet iykwim!! Been dtd every day much to dh's delight.

I really hope this bfp malarky is catching ladies!!

Ugh, violet I feel your pain...we recently sold our house and it was no fun at all, watching viewings get cancelled, and going weeks without any. Is there anything you can do to the price to boost viewings again? Or are you waiting it out in far too rational a way for me?!

I had a check up booked at the dentist yesterday, and within 10 minutes, local anaesthetic had been pumped into my jaw and a glorified pair of pliers was attacking my tooth. Barbarians!!

Ha ha choc yeah Mr Shoos says he is making the most of it because he remembers that after the ttc feast follows the early preg famine!!

Belle otd is 'official testing date' so when you're planning to do a pregnancy test. I only learnt that one a few months ago on this thread despite already having a DD!

Haha oh I see! Well I'm not sure where I am with that? AF was due last Friday 19/6/15 so when should I be doing it? How does everybody work out your testing day? Thanks for all your help with such a newbie! Xx

My otd should be the 18th but I feel nothing And had a BFN the other day! I knew I think but just can't help myself!! It's like an impulse when tests are in the house!

Unfortunately the weather in Scotland is rubbish like 11 degrees n rains all the time!! Not long home from Bulgaria and I'm freeezing my bum off!! I'm not back to work for another week so I'm being all impatient and lazy ????????

Choc out of interest how long did it take you to sell? We've been on the market since May 1st and in that time had two viewings, three if you count that one of the people came back for a second look. I'm sure it takes a lot longer than this to sell, but thought we'd have had more viewers. Will be giving it a few more months and then reduce the price a bit if viewing doesn't pick up.

Issie were in the center of a town right now, new house, looking to move a bit more coastal, and yeah a bigger house and a garden. Would be nice to have some good news first though and then I'm not worrying about us rattling around in a big house with no DC to fill the rooms up!!

Belle would probably go with what you suggested and test at the weekend if AF doesn't come before that, your only going to be wondering if you don't.

Girls, I've had a pain in my left side for three days now, if you remember I had described it as like constipation??
Sore boobs + pain in side + mysterious thigh bruise = getting ahead of myself?? Praying no AF before Tuesday as would love to get a BFP on our wedding anniversary!

Mrs Thanks, Yeah feeling better now, and coming to the end of that boring bit between AF and starting properly trying for July. Its CD9 tomorrow so going to start smep again, doing 9, 11, 13 etc instead of 8, 10, 12 etc as OH is away until tomorrow night. Sure it doesn't make any difference, hopefully not anyway...

Sounds like a plan violet. It took us around 8 weeks to sell....felt like an age as we had already found and made an offer on somewhere else. The owners of the place we wanted gave us a 7 week deadline, so we reduced the price to basically the minimum we could sell for, and made it fixed price. DH is still somewhat mad because in 8 months time, a new train station will open near where we were, and the value would have increased considerably. I'm surprised you've not had more viewings, though... Can you apply pressure on the agent to see what they are doing to get people through the door? An open house might also be worth considering? So sorry, it is horrid to feel in limbo!
