Thank goodness you had the strength to get rid of him, Eskimo. How are things going with you now? Do you have an appointment booked with a consultant?

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/06/2015 19:01

I didn't meet DH till I was 33. There is no way I would have been ready for children in my early 20s I was to busy working for qualifications and building a career as society told me I should as a modern woman.

nightandthelight · 02/06/2015 19:14

I am having children in my twenties but that is mostly luck at having found the right man so early in life. I am constantly having to fight off my own brain telling me that I should be focusing on a career. The pressure from society there is immense.

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/06/2015 19:17

Another post all about me...
There is a girl I used to work with. Lovely girl.
We started our jobs at the same time.
Bought our first property the same summer.

Met our fellas a few months appart from each other.
She got married 6 weeks after me.
Now according to facebook she's pregnant.
Cheesy photo of a washing line with two adult t-shirts and a baby grow.

Pikz · 02/06/2015 19:24

Grrr articles like that make me sad.

I met DH when he was 30 and I was 26. We started trying when I was 28 and I was 30 when I had DS. I'm now 33 and we've been trying since I was 31.

I was ready earlier but I hadn't met the right man.

ThePug · 02/06/2015 19:24

Boris - how cringey can you get! Life is not a race though, and you will reach your babygoal eventually Smile

Hi everyone!
Sorry to read about horrid AFs, rocky ferries and stupid media articles. My moan for the day is that FF took away my angry pubes this morning! I had to get up at 4.30 again so took my temp then and it was a bit lower, but still well above the cover line so not sure why it did that, hmpf! I hope it will put them back in a couple of days.

Oh, and I also forgot to hide the xbox, gaaah!! If he doesn't pick up when I try to ring home now (he has form for this) I probably won't bother again later. Am away for three days next week though so I can always hide it then, for longer, if he continues to be an arse Grin

Queenbee30 · 02/06/2015 19:29

Sad ah boris it's shit. You'll be able to out cheese her in the not too distant future. Promise.

I just went for a wee and found a big glob of ewcm on my bum cheek.

ThePug · 02/06/2015 19:29

DH & I met when we were 18 but it took him 10 years to propose and he definitely wasn't thinking of babies sooner than that! Then another 9 months for the wedding and 6 months for thinking about ttc before we started this year and hey presto, I'm in my 30s (with him a few weeks behind).

Queenbee30 · 02/06/2015 19:30

pug- take it with you and then send him a photo of you playing on it Grin

Nomio230 · 02/06/2015 19:32

I find it really annoying that life spans and health have increased so dramatically, but evolution hasn't realised & adjusted our reproductive systems yet! When people died at 40, it made sense to have kids young, but these days we can easily live to our nineties.

Queenbee30 · 02/06/2015 19:32

I wasn't even sure I ever wanted babies until I met my DH at 26. Then I knew I did, but wanted to get to a certain point in my career, get the family house etc...definitely wasn't ready until I turned 30!

Nomio230 · 02/06/2015 19:33

That is a brilliant idea, Queen!

Boris, you will get there soon & your baby will be way cuter than hers!

Queenbee30 · 02/06/2015 19:34

Actually..the day after I got promoted I was ready Hmm

Rainy34 · 02/06/2015 19:54

eskimo Glad you found the strength to get rid of your past boyfriend , I do understand that as your age gets on that it might get harder to get pregnant but there are so many ladies that are well into there forties and having babies,

The nationwide advert you all cried at... Is it the best dad scarf one? I just blubber watching it too if so! Xx

nightandthelight · 02/06/2015 21:25

Yes it is Sammy! It's as bad as the John Lewis Christmas adverts Grin

Pikz · 02/06/2015 21:27

Yep Sammy that's the one! I'm topping it off with a diy sos about 6 kids who's mum died of cancer

At least I've been stepping the whole time it's been on 15,196 done so far

Think we all deserve a large gin tonight

nightandthelight · 02/06/2015 21:29

Ooh is that your daily total pikz or just while you have been watching the programme?

Nomio230 · 02/06/2015 21:36

Yep, that is the one, Sammy!

Pikz, that is loads. Well done.

I am really struggling with the TWW this month. This is the first month I have had both Clomid & Progesterone & not been ill, so I am a bit hopeful. I just want to know if it has worked or not.

Our IVF referral is underway now, so at least there is hope if it hasn't.

Pikz · 02/06/2015 21:59

Crossing everything for you nomio

Night that's my daily total. I'm trying for 15,000 a day which is hard with an office job and a toddler

Beansprout30 · 02/06/2015 22:24

Hello ladies, popping out of the woodwork to say hi Grin this bus is much easier to catch up with these days but im still totally shit at posting!

boris god I cant stand those kind of announcements, seems it's a competition these days to come up with a different way to announce a pregnancy on facebook.

Another one here who was never ready in my 20s to have children, It suddenly hit me when I turned 30 and after reading mumsnet conception boards for months
