My scan on Thursday moved my dates forward slightly so I'm now 12+5 every one has been told

Hello lovelies, hope you are okay, especially Loopy and Beedles.

Mr I and me are feeling pretty down in the dumps tonight. Saw some v close friends today, and one couple announced their pregnancy. Which is lovely, but their due date is what would have been my due date if the first round of IVF worked. Feels a bit strange to think that she is exactly where I could have been. Not like us to be side-swiped by pregnancy announcements (god knows there are enough of them!) but this one has stung a little bit today.

Oh well, onwards and upwards - the next round of IVF will work and that's that.

Oh Imps, you're only human. I think the closest ones sting the most, and I think it must be even harder to cope when it's linked to a date in your ttc history. I bet you handled it like a trooper though. Be kind to yourself

There's always a plus-side to these sorts of situations Sparks - I just spent a v nice 20 mins selecting some delish yarn colours for their baby blanket. God I love yarn more than is healthy or affordable

oh imps, you ARE amazing. the other upside is that you will be on mat leave together, and as your baby will be a few months younger you can get all their hand-me-downs

beedle, loopy what news?

I stayed away from the tests yesterday, but POAS FRER this morning and it's just as faint as Saturday mornings one, so not feeling very positive about this one now. I think I should be 12 dpo today, although might be out by a day as fertility friend wasn't much help this month, so could be 11 dpo I suppose, but I would have thought there would be more of a result today than 2 days ago? So am now fairly convinced this is going to be classed as a chemical pregnancy/5th mc. Was really hoping this would be our one to work, what with the removal of adhesions and the benefit of the d&c, and taking progesterone earlier, and getting such stronger symptoms. Now feel so negative about it all. Will speak about it all with consultant later, but not sure what else he can suggest. Will test again in a couple of days, but if nothing has improved by then then it'll be time to stop the progesterone I guess.

Oh Loopy . I am willing this one on with all my might. It's still such early days, I'm not sure you could ever expect a strong line at 12dpo even if you'd had a faint one at 10dpo. Let us know what the consultant says.

Thanks Sparks and Keep. I don't feel particularly amazing but sometimes you've just got to keep on keeping on and confront sadness with yarn head on. Here are the colours I've chosen - will hopefully be a nice combination...

loopy I agree, 12dpo is so early, most people haven't even got a positive by then. so even if it's doubled the hcg is still low. keep the faith. good luck for your appointment today

my NCT friend told me today she's going to TTC in July. would love to be pg together again but I just know she'll get knocked up and I'll be still waiting

Sorry been a bit busy! Yes I am PUPO :o It was my dr doing the transfer so I managed to persuade her to give me another prescription for progesterone, purely as mental support - she doesn't believe there is any physical need for it

loopy hope it goes ok today, I agree with the others I don't think you'd be able to see the difference between a 10dpo line and a 12dpo line.

Keep - do you have a date to start your next cycle? Of the 8 ladies in my NCT group, 1 has just had a baby and there's me. So it might not happen as quick as you think.
