Sorry, dark brown spotting will have been 6-10 DPO, not 5-10.

And apols for my excessive use of the word "gunge" earlier Grin

Imps9 · 16/09/2015 17:29

Fresh blood now. BOOOOO to AF and all who sail in her.

keepitgoing · 16/09/2015 19:34

Ah fuck it imps

Sorry to hear that Imps. How many possible chemical pregnancies have you had? Remind me how old are you? Have you had any of the tests they would do for recurrent miscarriages or considered a visit to the Coventry clinic before you do your next IVF attempt? I've heard a lot about the clinic and spoken to a lot of people who have gone there, and there are a number of people who seem to have had a lot of early losses and or chemical pregnancies, and tried fertility treatments but still no success, but then gone to Coventry and then had success afterwards. Thought might be worth you looking at?

keepitgoing · 17/09/2015 08:04

What news from you loopy?

No surge here

QueenMolotov · 17/09/2015 09:56

Oooooh, dtd on cd12 yesterday, which we haven't done for a long time! Feeling nervous, but not terrified.

Not much to report on MIL, except she told DH that we should only ever have one dog if we really must - 2 is far too many and I have enough to do (erm, I'm not even thinking of getting another dog?) I'm collecting dds from her later today, so who knows what I'll get then.

I had to go into dd's school this week as dd1 is getting picked on again, this time by older girls :-( It is draining but ye gods, I'll fight my girl's corners until my very last breath.

Poor Imps, I'm sorry that biatch AF came x

Hope everyone else is okay?

Imps9 · 17/09/2015 10:20

Morning lovelies!

Particularly ouchy AF here today. I really don't think this was a chem - AF turned up bang on schedule (it was late by a couple of days with the two chems) and really the test had no line on it - a minor hint of grey perhaps but no pink as with the previous. I'm putting it down to an unusual cycle - we've all had one of those eh?

No I don't think I will push for Coventry/RMC tests unless the consultant thinks it would be worth it. I will push for a scratch though and see what happens with the next round/naturally. I'm 35 so still plenty of time!

Your DMIL sounds like she's projecting her life onto yours a bit too much Mol. Not sure there's much you can so to stop that, it may just be a matter of ignoring her!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/09/2015 11:14

Sorry AF is showing her ugly face again imps though it is interesting how many new ways our bodies can manage to fuck with our heads! I had spotting from Cd17 a few months back, and as I never have that I was convinced something might have happened, instead Af turned up on CD20.

keep we wouldn't get to use any remaining goes for a sibling, we have to use all of them within 18 months and we don't get to use the rest once we've had a baby anyway. Hope your surge comes soon!

We've agreed on long protocol again, it has worked ok for me in terms of number of eggs and lack of side effects, so it seems pointless to change just for the sake of it.

Mol I think your MIL should just keep her nose out!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/09/2015 11:19

Oh and I asked about a scratch, they don't really believe the evidence for them (I think all Drs here think that all scientific studies are fake unless they've been carried out here Hmm ) but would consider doing one if our first lot of treatment doesn't work. And if they won't do it I'll come over to England just to get one done :o I will actually be in England in a couple of weeks time - I wonder if anywhere does them on a saturday!!!

Imps9 · 17/09/2015 11:34

And I've just remembered two other important factors: 1. This was first natural cycle post-IVF so weirdness is probably par for the course; and 2. Perhaps more importantly is that I think we'd only had The Sex 5 days before ov so prob missed our chance anyway.

Ooooh where in England can we meet up with you will you be Beedles?? I haven't done much reading about scratches but what I read said that implantation rates can be increased by up to 50% (although of course 0% is still "up to" 50% so it's pretty meaningless really!) and I think my clinic routinely does/offers them after two failed cycles anyway. I assume we'll have to pay but I obvs don't mind that.

keepitgoing · 18/09/2015 08:38

Im sure you can get scratched on a Saturday beedle, anything if you pay

No surge. And I DO NOT want it tomorrow as that would mean transfer on Friday, and I have an interview that afternoon...

Imps9 · 18/09/2015 12:39

Just read this and LOVED it - www.mumsnet.com/features/having-a-baby-after-40

When are you expecting your surge Keep? Or is your body one of those unpredictable naughty types???

keepitgoing · 18/09/2015 12:59

Usually it would be tomorrow Shock but should be by Tuesday. I'm quite regular but last month was a shock cd10

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/09/2015 10:44

Just a quickie. No idea re a Saturday needle but I know that Coventry only runs their clinics on Monday afternoons and Friday afternoons, and they run as a self funded NHS, so I think it's £360 all in, for the consultation, uterine biopsy and general look at uterus and the scratch, plus includes any follow up calls or emails afterwards, and about 4-6 weeks for the test results. They have also done location scans and provided prescriptions when women have failed to get their local consultants to agree to their treatment protocols. They seem to have a massive success rate.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/09/2015 10:45

Beedle not needle!

keepitgoing · 19/09/2015 13:16

No surge. Brook brook brook it comes tomorrow or Monday, else we can't do it this month

That sounds like a good deal at cov, loopy

QueenMolotov · 20/09/2015 19:39

Evening all, I think I ov'd on Friday (cd14) as I had pant snot and cramps. So that was bang on time this month and two days after The Sex. I had cramps overnight Fri-Sat, then brown gunk on Sat morning. My boobs are starting to get sore today, so I am pretty sure I have ov'd. Some of those signs could mean something; might mean nothing. Just have to wait and see.

I'm partly worried because last week was tough and I don't know how I'd manage school and all it entails with 3 dcs. Then I feel that we would work things out. Part of me finds it all very ironic if I was to get pg after just one well-timed shag this month.

One way or the other I think I'll have my definitive answer at the end of this cycle (nods to hinky)

QueenMolotov · 20/09/2015 19:40

Brooking for you keep, and yes, all sounds very positive for you in Cove try, loopy.

Imps9 · 21/09/2015 09:07

Yay Mol all sounds very positive! Into the dastardly 2ww now though.

COME ON KEEP'S SURGE. Any joy this morning Keep? Hope so.

Not long until our follow-up appointment (well, just under 3 weeks but that isn't long in the scheme of things). Will of course talk about the 2 chems plus MC last year and see what they recommend.

keepitgoing · 21/09/2015 09:11

YES surge this morning, so have left a message with clinic to sort scan and ET. Brook brook

Yay go moll!

imps that's not too long! Remind me do you have 1 more nhs go?

OP posts:
Imps9 · 21/09/2015 13:46

Hoooooooray for the surge!!! When will ET happen??

Yes, one more NHS funded go to go. We're so lucky to have got three free goes.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 21/09/2015 14:05

Excellent news keep its clearly a good sign :o

Well done mol

Thanks for the info about coventry loopy though I'm not sure I'd be allowed to self-fund NHS treatment, its not exactly the same as private treatment is it? But it could be something to look into.

I could tell you where I'll be imps but then I'd have to kill you :o I don't think there are any brookers near there anyway.

Downregging starts at the end of next week :o

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 21/09/2015 14:21

It's not classed as private, it's NHS, but confusingly it's not free as patients have to pay as the clinic is self funded, so they don't get any funding to run it, but patients self refer themselves, so as far as I know it's as simple as that, if you have the money to afford the £360 then anyone can go as long as they have had 1 miscarriage minimum. But the £360 covers everything as far as I can tell, they have offered repeat scratches and location scans to some, whereas if it was private you would get a bill for every single thing they did for you. You just email someone called Kerri who books the appointments in. I have met quite a few online who have gone there or plan to go there, all thanks to mumsnet, including quite a few who are going through IVF and have had high NK levels diagnosed as a result of going to Coventry so wouldn't have been likely to ever carry a pregnancy without the steroids. I think the only rule to dictate if you can go or not is that you need to have had 2 full months/cycles since last miscarriage before you go, and you must be 7-10 dpo in the third cycle when you go for the biopsy.

Good luck with 2ww mol

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 21/09/2015 14:22

(And they count chemical pregnancies as a miscarriage)

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 21/09/2015 14:46

(And there is someone on the mumsnet group who is living in Spain at the moment who is flying over to have a location scan there and to then get her prescription as she is struggling to get anyone in Spain to prescribe it for her)
