Beedles, the consultant urologist at our clinic advised Mr Imps to take Proxeed as he said that it had been shown in clinical trials to be the best supplement for sperm health. The difference is has made has been quite striking, Mr Imps' sperm has gone from:

0-1% normal morphology to 2%
18% motility to 26% (I think)
2million count to 4million

Pretty impressive! No one has said anything to me about Proxeed Women, but I figure that poor egg collection, no blastos and 2 miscarriages means that I might need to do more to help nature on its way.

It's pricey, but not a waste of money.

Btw I have felt sick to the stomach today about that awful news story of the woman who has lost her baby at 32 weeks after being attacked and kicked in the stomach. I cannot even begin to understand the horror of what she must be going through. Vile vile vile.

keepitgoing · 18/06/2015 15:49

imps me too, it's horrendous

I can't even imagine Imps, it makes me so sad. And angry. Very angry.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 18/06/2015 17:29

That poor poor lady, there are no words :( I can imaging what she's going through.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 18/06/2015 21:30

^ can't imagine, bloody stupid fat fingers

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 19/06/2015 06:56

Imps I've not heard of proxeed before sounds like it's worked wonders on MrImps. I'm jealous of all your holidays. We haven't got anything booked but I'm hoping we might manage a little break somewhere later in the year.

Beedle I think those costs are so reasonable! The treatment we had last cycle would have cost around 8k looking at the clinics private brochure

Pasta hope you have a fab holiday. How are you managing with 2 dc to look after?

Well it's been a stressful 24 hours here. I went to my routine midwife appointment yesterday (It's my due date today). I've been worrying a bit about baby's position as I was convinced he has still been moving around a lot. On my way I had lots of pain and was sure baby had gone transverse. Saw the midwife and he was transverse, cue panicked calls to hospital. I was sent straight there and told I would be admitted and I would have a c section. We rush to the hospital, had to wait around for a scan. While I was on my way to the scan I felt baby move again and sure enough he was head down when they scanned. I was then diagnosed with polyhydraminos (excess amniotic fluid). We were seen by a doctor who said the fluid was nothing to worry about but because baby has an unstable lie they would induce me. She then tried to give me an induction date for late next week. At that point I got really upset, it made no sense to me. One minute it's not safe to leave baby, the next they want to send me home and wait for another 6 days with the provision I must get back to hospital ASAP if I have any labour signs even a show! We got nowhere with that doctor and eventually MrCups refused to leave, tracked down a lovely midwife and demanded a second opinion. We eventually saw a more senior doctor who was lovely. She straight away agreed that I couldn't just go home and wait for however long without someone keeping an eye on me. She has booked us in for induction tomorrow morning (that may well get pushed back if there are any emergencies). She also gave us lots of advise about what to do if I do go into labour. Then she did blood tests to check infection due to the extra fluid and baby will need to be seen by paediatricians due to the fluid. I felt much better then and we got home late last night. Sorry for the mammoth post but it feels good to write it all down. Im still feeling anxious but am glad that they will try to induce as soon as they can.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 19/06/2015 06:57

Oh and I cried when I heard about the woman who was attacked. I just can't believe anyone would do something like that Sad

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/06/2015 07:56

Oh Cups what a terribly stressful time for you both :( Massive well done for Mr C refusing to leave and getting you a second oppinion. That being said, squeeeeeee, you're going to have a baby Grin and you'll meet him so very soon Grin good luck at the hospital this morning, I shall be brooking for no emergencies and Tue sneeziest of sneezes for you Flowers

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/06/2015 08:05

Oh Cups, you poor thing. But I echo what Boo said, SQUEE!!! You're having a baby!!! I'm so very excited for you. I'm brooking my brooking arse off for you today xxx

Pastamancer · 19/06/2015 08:40

Just in time for father's day, how exciting Cups I had to be induced with both of mine despite starting off by myself as my contractions are incompetent. Do you have a tens machine? I did dd2 with just g&a and tens and only found the pain hard to cope with at transition so don't worry about negative things you have heard about induction. I am a huge wimp so if I can do it then I am sure you can. Don't be afraid to change position, the mw moved me on to my side and held my leg up in the air for me and I found that much more comfortable, it is supposed to be good for big babies, not sure what you are predicted.

keepitgoing · 19/06/2015 10:11

ooh cups!!! good luck for today my lovely xx Grin

cups I'm also excited for you! he will be here soon, sorry it was a bit of a stressful day for you yesterday though.
I agree with pasta have no idea why people are negative about induction, it's fine, I was induced and ds was born 2hours after they took me to labour ward and put me on the hormone drip can't remember what it's called, having barely felt a twinge before that from having 2 pessaries . I had no pain relief at all. sounds like pasta managed it easily too as will you, it's clearly the brooking way.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 19/06/2015 10:41

Yep it's not until tomorrow morning (I hope!) thanks for the positive induction stories. The midwife yesterday said expect it to take 2-3 days and if it's any earlier it's a bonus. I'm not bothered how long it takes, I'm just pleased they are going to monitor baby throughout so I know he's safe. I'm a bit gutted not to be having a water birth as I was really looking forward to that. I've not got a tens machine, I was thinking about renting one but because of the possibility of a c section I didn't want to waste my time. I'm sure they have them on labour ward so will try to use one of theirs.

I'm keeping myself busy by doing some cooking. Have just made some sausage rolls so we can have some nice snacks over the weekend. My mum is coming as soon as the start induction so she can look after the dog for us. I'll keep you guys updated. It sounds like I'll have plenty of time Grin

cartoontrickster · 19/06/2015 10:47

I guess there is a lot of waiting around! I had my book and dh for company, to give you an idea I went in first thing the Monday morning and ds was born Tuesday eve at 10.32pm. the pessaries did nothing much for me but I know that's all it takes for others.

Imps9 · 19/06/2015 11:39

Ooooooooooooooooh squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Cups! I can't believe your son is nearly here!! Sorry to hear about the worry, but it's great you both had the confidence to stand your ground and get some proper advice.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee our next brooking baby is on his way!!

A great thing to fill waiting time is crochet. Got loads done when I was waiting for my egg collection.

Imps9 · 19/06/2015 11:41

ps Pasta how rude to call your contractions "incompetent". They have feelings too you know.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/06/2015 11:54

Beautiful bunting Imps, now it's been a while, let's see if I can remember how this goes Wink

It's been a while since I've laid out a brooking tea party :)

Pastamancer · 19/06/2015 12:12

Imps with DD1 the contractions went on for 4 days doing hardly anything until they put me on the drip. DD2 was only a day before going on the drip as my waters had gone. Competent contractions wouldn't have need a kick up the bum.

Imps9 · 19/06/2015 12:15

Hmmm, okay they do sound like they deserved that name-calling then Pasta

Withalittlesparkle · 19/06/2015 17:09

How exciting cups, even under stressful circumstances!! For the record my sister went in for her induction at 10 and by 3 she had a little new born. These things are so unpredictable

DinoSnores · 20/06/2015 06:48

Hey cups. Not sure if you'll be reading MN but wanted to say that I was induced with DC3 because of polyhydramnios. It really was fine. It did nip a bit more than an un-induced (is that a word?) labour and I was grateful for the epidural, but it was very uncomplicated. Epidural was lovely and light so I could still move my legs, labour was very quick (less than 4 hours). I recovered very very easily and DC3 was a trooper at feeding.

Very excited for you! Brooking for you!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/06/2015 08:26

Thinking if you this morning Cups, K was induced and I echo what Dino said, I still had a lovely labour experience xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/06/2015 08:51

Will be thinking of you today lovely Cups! These wise brookers know their stuff, you're going to have a great experience. You're going to meet your son so soon!!x
