glittery and nomio.... Room for one more diet buddy?!

My BMI is 34 so I've definitely got a few stone to lose.... Oh bugger!!

Pixa · 19/04/2015 16:58

I would love to join the TTC dieters if possible please? Happy to post any tips I come across. :-)

Nomio230 · 19/04/2015 17:02

Yay! The more, the merrier. Grin

We can all keep each other motivated when we are hungry, grumpy and tired!

Frog, I think smoothies are great. I use low fat yoghurt & a mixture of fresh/frozen fruit. I know they contain sugars, but they also have lots of good things like vitamins.

Pixa · 19/04/2015 17:10

Currently for nutrition, I am reading the attached books. Smile

Yes!!!!! I am loving this. Nom is it really mean I wanted to jump up and bitch slap the smug cow?? I only use fruit maybe a touch of almond milk and always add kale or spinach to them.

MrF is all for me with the smoothies because I'm on medication that screws with my metabolism and I can't eat in a morning it makes me sick, literally. So smoothies for me are a good way of getting something in my system without physically having to eat.

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 17:15

Ooh it's been busy here this aft!
Sparkly, yes I've been very productive. Have packed up the rest of dd's things for her to pick up. Given her room a good clean and sorted ds's room.
Yay for the digi test, that's really good news Smile

Juney, when you AI do you push the plunger quite quickly or slowly? Thanks for the pre-seed tip.

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 17:26

Spinning busy day then! Is it positive? Even with the spotting?! needing constant reassurance Grin re the AI- ok so my first fertility clinic and online told me to do slow and steady push of plunger. However last cycle the new fertility clinic said quickly so they shoot out to mimic ejaculation, and well, it worked this time for us I guess. I double checked with Gynae and she said a swift plunge is best too?!

cremedecacao · 19/04/2015 17:27

Sparkly- I guess she didn't read the notes correctly, or they are in the system wrong Confused

I don't need to lose weight as such, but I have been gradually gaining weight whilst TTC. I think I have been so careful to not over exercise that I have just been pretty much avoiding exercise in the TWW, and also stuffing my face with very calorific nuts! Also, I think DH and I have been spoiling ourselves a lot recently, partly because we have had a hard time with lots of different things lately and also because we are embracing date nights whilst we can Smile

I'm actually just back from the gym. Decided to try and carry on as normal a bit more this month.

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 17:42

Pixa spinning and I are fans of Ella!

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 17:47

Ah thanks for sparkly, Dp said yesterday he wants to try 'normally' first. I said I'd rather not Hmm I feel awful saying that but it's no fun at ov time, he's never in the mood and it's hard work getting the job done.
Sparkly, I really do think the digi is a positive sign. It must be so awful going through this and having to wait but you must try and stay positive. We are all rooting for your bean to hang in there.

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 19/04/2015 17:49

Also bananas have an adverse affect on weight loss. makes it harder apparently :/ . So I'm not one for blending fruits. I'd rather blend veg. But I love salad and veg so I don't find healthy eating too hard. I'm just a lazy bitch! So i need to kick my arse into gear and get running/jogging. Printed out the couch to 5k and will start that tomorrow.

Just asked DH about AI. He said he
will give it a bash. 'What cup will I use? He asks - 'Use one of the small espresso cups babe we bought in Italy a couple of years ago' Grin

So you chuck up the lube 1st. Wait a few then swiftly plunge the swimmers swiftly. Gotcha. Grin Oooh I'm excited to try it!

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 19/04/2015 17:52

Aw sparkly that's really good news Smile

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 17:56

Glittery, when do you ov? We might be AI buddiesSmile

What's everyone having for dinner? I've got roasted veg in the oven that I'm having with salmon, quinoa and spinach. Smells lovely, I'm starvingGrin

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 17:59

Ooh Pixa, yes Ella is fab. Love hemsley and Hemsley as well.

I usually put half a banana in a smoothie, with some berries, either fresh or frozen or mango with lots of spinach and kale and a bit of almond milk and a spoonful of Maca. I try not to smell the maca, it's vile! I sprinkle chia seeds on the top for an extra boostGrin

cremedecacao · 19/04/2015 17:59

Rack of lamb with crushed potatoes, olives, tomatoes and spinach. YUM.

juneybean · 19/04/2015 18:01

spinning I do it slowly! Don't want the sperms to bang their heads Grin

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 18:05

Haha JuneyGrin

Creme, that sounds very fancy, yumGrin

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 18:27

Pixa, you look stunning in your dress for dh's birthday, love the hair and make up. My hairs naturally curly as well. I like it straight but it's a bit of a faff!

frogbubbles · 19/04/2015 18:30

Glittery nice use of the crockery there Wink

Spins I've just had spinach, quinoa, and garlic/chilli grilled chicken and mango salad.

Where do you get your chia seeds from? I can never find them in the supermarket

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 18:32

Spinning yep i totally think it sounds like it's a good plan for you. just to mix in with dtd surely will take pressure off?

Glittery glad dh up for it!

Can't believe we have new AIers!

Your dinners sound nice! I've been naughty... Take away curry!! Blush

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 18:32

Pixa I want to see you in your dress! again reiterate I'm not a dirty old man

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 18:40

Ha Glittery, that'll add an interesting flavour to your coffeeWink

Frog, that sounds nice. Mine was yummy.
I buy chia seeds in my local health food shop. You can buy them in H&B but they're very small packets. I think Amazon might sell them!

Sparkly, I love curry, what did you have?

spinningirl10 · 19/04/2015 18:41

Ooh it's Poldark tonight Grin
And RHOBH is back! My fav trashy tv show.

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 18:44

Juney I'm bracing myself to hear what you are eating for dinner... Hmm

Sparkly123 · 19/04/2015 18:47

I use Chia and Co seeds. They do last me quite a while.

Spins I had a coconut korma type dish with quite a lot of fresh chillies in. Went for a veggie one with cauliflower peas etc was a nice treat as I try to stay away from cream usually! Guess I should be eating proper healthy right now but wanted to give dh a night off from
Cooking tonight as he's been doing it all week whilst I've been resting. Your dinner sounds lovely!! And healthy! Grin
