'TTC after a miscarriage - new thread'

Well tried to add my bit to old thread and we have reached 1000 posts again!!
Chocolatepeanut, am so sorry for what you are going through, although you sound as if you are handling it well so far. Hope things aren't too bad for you in the coming days.
Rubles, sorry if AF does arrive, bloody bitch! My blood tests will be next week. DP sperm test threw up 'abnormal sperm' and he needs to go and discuss with the GP later this week although she did say it wasn't too much to worry about. Been meaning to start a new thread on this but haven't got around to it.
I'm looking for a yoga class to try and help me relax! Do think this whole TTC is stressing me out so much, I'm so conscious of age gaps, both our ages working against us, even worrying about if we do conceive in next couple of months as worked out it would be a July or August baby (my oldest is July born and is struggling bit with school etc). Part of me thinks it may do us all some good if I just stop ttc for a couple of months, then the other half panics about an even bigger gap, etc!!
How on earth do you all manage to relax about all this stuff??

Firstar WOW fantastic news so happy for you. I had a good feeling you would benot much happening with me at the mo, but you will be missed from here, so you better hang around.

Duchesse - cycles after m/c are always weird for me, cramps mid cycle, headaches alsorts of weird preg and pms symptoms together. this month i'm ignoring it all, and relaxing.

Not much happening with me at the moment, but well anyway.

Uki · 15/11/2006 09:34

oops funny typing error, sorry firstar. CONGRATULATIONS again.

Jossie · 15/11/2006 09:53

Oinker, sorry to crash in here, but I've been advised to have Clexane inj when pg, due to mutant factor 2, having had 2 DS, then 2 m/c, one after seeing heartbeat at 8 weeks. Do you know anything about that inj, as I see that you are having another blood thinning one?

duchesse · 15/11/2006 09:55

Thanks Uki (pms and pregnancy symptoms at same time? talk about double whammy...) and Firststar,

and, Firststar- brilliant!

d4phne · 15/11/2006 09:59

Firststar -- how wonderful!!!!! I am so happy for you!!! You will hang around here for a while, yes?
Are you having still mixed feelings? If so, it's okay!

Jossie...

I have used Clexane too.

It is practically the same as heparin. I used heparin first and had a bad reaction to it. Rash, soreness and mega bruising.
Prof. changed me to Clexane second time round. It was fine for a while but then I started with the same reactions. I just put up with it. I have bruising whcih I assume is scarring now as I last injected in June. They are very visible. The injecting is easy. It's finding the right site and changing sites... I botched it up a few times. I am not going to go on as I am a bit of a donut and perhaps was just a bit divvy when injecting myself.

Good Luck..
I hope I have helped.

Thankyou Oinker, I'm not looking forward to injecting myself-but I suppose I'll have to get on with it and keep the end goal in sight

edie123 · 15/11/2006 18:34

Brilliant Firststar, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Please stay on here for a while longer just because we would all miss you if you went!! (Anyone know how Andi is?)

babyfettle · 15/11/2006 18:42

Oh Firststar - what fantastic news!!! Keep positive and relaxed and stay around here for as long as you need to!

Still no change on my front - no temp shift, so looks like I'm in for a long cycle - on CD26 at the mo!!

Bit frustrating, but I'm used to it, I suppose. It's just my cycles have been around 35 days, since MC, so just the time we can TTC again, it all goes irregular again - grrrrr!!!!!

d4phne · 15/11/2006 22:12

Hi all. After Firststars great news mine will be
a big damper. I finally had a scan today and there is a big piece of 'retained product'. In the best case it wasn't removed during the ERPC and I need another one, other options are new miscarriage or most scary scenario molar pregnancy. Won't be checking in for a couple of days while I see finally private gynacologist (got bumped up but still no NHS service) and possibly ERPC soon. All the best to all of you!!!!

Uki · 16/11/2006 10:00

Oh D4ph
hugs to you. will be thinking of you, and hoping everything will work out for the better really really soon.

pinkranger · 16/11/2006 10:06

First Star - CONGRATULATIONS i am so pleased for you!!!!!!!

you have been so great to me on here ( and everyone else of course) xx
CD1 for me, AF finally arrived 2 days late which is very unusal for me but at least it is here and i am just going to enjoy the festive fun now, and really try and chill out about it!!!

babyfettle · 16/11/2006 11:09

Hi D4phne ? so sorry to hear your news . It may well be retained products from your original mc ? although it is rare, is does happen and did happen to me. In my case, they used a hysteroscope before and after the operation to double-check that they had completely removed everything the 2nd time around. Although it was much more painful when I came around than after my 1st operation, after a couple of days, I had no further problems and AF arrived, I think, about 4-5 weeks later (I?m always very irregular and I can?t remember exactly as it was back in April/May time).

I do hope it sorts itself out for you as soon as possible and you are back able to TTC as soon as possible.

Take care, and big hugs {{{{HUGS}}}

Right.

For the past few days I have felt strange. More aware of breasts, they don't look bigger just feel tender. Have had a niggly ache in the womb area. As I have an abudance of free tests in work I did one. (Not due till Tuesday)
Guess my shock when it was BFP. I tried three different batches ( as have had bad experiences with them in the past) each batch gave me the same result. I'm not due for 5 days. It was a very faint pink line but it was def a pink line. Now I am confused. Can they show up that early. I know they are hospital tests but I've used them when I was pg b4 and they didn't show like that till I was 5 weeks. Not 3 weeks.
Just waiting for it to all go wrong. To fine that it was just a faulty batch (or three) or that it is just an early preg that won't last till Tuesday. I'm scared AF will arrive on Tuesday as planned and I'll think i'm going mad.

duchesse · 16/11/2006 18:39

I did one today too. Negative. As luck would have it, the nausea and stomach pains have also receded, so I guess they were left over from the m/c.

Hoping it's not just pms, Typhoon.

duchesse · 16/11/2006 18:40

For you, I mean! But maybe too earlly to tell. That's the flipside of being able to test early.

carriemumsnet · 16/11/2006 18:43

for anyone who has had recurrent miscarriage there was a really interesting and potentially useful discussion on Women's Hour on Radio 4 yesterday (nov 15th) which is worth doing a listen again to if this has happened to you as they were talking about a new treatment.

Just thought it might be of interest. Have had two myself so know how crap it is.

babyfettle · 16/11/2006 19:02

Thanks Carriesmumsnet - although I've only had 1 so far, I'm not counting my chickens, so I may try and have a listen again tomorrow.

Typhoonsmum - I wish you tentative congratulations! I think it is possible to be positive relatively early with very sensitive tests, but a week sounds quite early. However, everyone on here, always says a line is a line, but only time will tell. Try and keep positive and relax. However useless this sounds, there isn't really much you can do now except wait - keep happy . Try testing in a couple of days and hopefully the line will be darker?

Duchesse - sorry about BFN - hope your body sorts itself out soon.

Hope all else are ok?

take care all
x

oinker · 17/11/2006 08:09

Typhoonsmum....

I think congratulations are in order...

Perhaps you have your dates wrong...

Go get a CB test or something...

Well Done.
