Well tried to add my bit to old thread and we have reached 1000 posts again!!
Chocolatepeanut, am so sorry for what you are going through, although you sound as if you are handling it well so far. Hope things aren't too bad for you in the coming days.
Rubles, sorry if AF does arrive, bloody bitch! My blood tests will be next week. DP sperm test threw up 'abnormal sperm' and he needs to go and discuss with the GP later this week although she did say it wasn't too much to worry about. Been meaning to start a new thread on this but haven't got around to it.
I'm looking for a yoga class to try and help me relax! Do think this whole TTC is stressing me out so much, I'm so conscious of age gaps, both our ages working against us, even worrying about if we do conceive in next couple of months as worked out it would be a July or August baby (my oldest is July born and is struggling bit with school etc). Part of me thinks it may do us all some good if I just stop ttc for a couple of months, then the other half panics about an even bigger gap, etc!!
How on earth do you all manage to relax about all this stuff??

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 09/11/2006 15:50

Uki

I had a mc last week at 5 weeks on my first month of clomid.tbh i was so thrilled to know that I can actually get pg (after 18 months of ttc and lots of investigations) that although upset and disappointed (cried for a day) feeling positive that its gonna happen again soon.Felt that it was better to loose at 5 weeks then at 6 months like last year when I had a stillbirth little girl

Am having accupuncture now too, lots of facials and treatments to de stress, bought some pre seed and baby asprin if i do get anothet bfp and being honest i am kinda expecting another one this month as I have put all faith in clomid and know thats a bit unrealistic

Saw gp on tues as kept the appt i made to tell her about pg.She said that my eggs are not as healthy as they were 2o years ago so m/c is a high risk.Felt v upset by this as shes about my age (39) and shes just had a baby.Prob being v over sensitive but sometimes other women make you feel like such a failure.

daphne
so sorry for you,why does it have to be such a bloody minefield? All we want is a normal, healthy pregnancy. Is it too much to ask when it seems to come so easy for so many others?
xx

Hi all. Thanks for your reassureance everybody.
I agree that it is still too early about being too worried about lining etc, But the kind of helter skelter I have been through....Am emotionally nowhere where I am rationally. Have private appointment for Nov 23 and am on waiting list for cancellations!!!!

Uki -- so sorry about AF. I had been hopeful, too.
For me it was 1st pg & 1st m/c at 12 weeks.

Chocolatepeanut What an insensitive GP, I can't believe it!!! I mean, there is probably some truth to what she said that the m/c risk is higher than it would have been 20 years ago -- but it probably is not so much what she said rather than 'how' she said it?! I had once a GP say to me I should try harder, which I was insulted by. Turned out she had many m/c herself and it took her a very long time to become pg.

Firststar -- how are you doing? I always admire your considerate comments and suggestions. {{HUGS}} back and best of luck for this month!

babyfettle · 09/11/2006 20:27

Hello girls!

Looks like some {{{HUGS}}} are needed all round. I'm so so sorry D4phne that they couldn't give you more positive news. I have to agree with others, that without a scan, how can they say there is damage to your uterus walls? Unless they mean there might still be pg tissue left. My first ERCP was unsuccessful and I ended up having to have a 2nd one, but I had on and off bleeding and pain for 8 weeks, which you haven't had?

Chocolatepeanut - sorry too that your GP doesn't sound as sensitive - I suppose she might think she was being realistic, but you need to stay positive and think it will happen. You've managed to conceive at least, so that's a good sign.

UKi - so sorry about AF.

Hope you're doing ok Firststar and you too Edie.

Sorry can't chat for longer - sorry if I've missed anyone. It's been quiet on here recently - so I hope everyone is ok as can be.

I think I may have ov last night/this morning, but unfortunately DH wasn't very well last night, but we BD night before and will hopefully again tonight, so fingers-crossed still. May have misread the signs and not have ov, so we'll see!! STill a novice at this CM monitoring! Hope temp is more helpful!

take care all

Babyfettle -- you ov and find the time for blogging but not for bd-ing?! Shame on you! (Just kidding!!!)

Hi all

Sorry PinkR, but it might still be too early to show positive? Fingers-crossed, but at least you can enjoy your weekend, without feeling guilty. I'm afraid I'm not very virtuous in the 2ww, and do drink (not excessively though!), as otherwise, it would be a very dull time this TTC!

anywya, no temp rise for me, so I'm still not even in my 2 ww yet - still have to keep at the Bd-ing.

at you, D4phne telling me off for blogging, not bd-ing!! I will behave myself from now on!!!

Have a great weekend all.

Uki · 10/11/2006 23:57

Hello everyone
Thanks for telling us about yourselves, we are all going to have precious little buddles when it happens though.

Firstar- I think my m/c all happen about 7/8 weeks but my body is taking longer to realize.

Firstar and Choc Peanut have you had bloods taken, I know some drs won't do tests till 3 but they will if you ask I think blood clotting is one of the biggest causes of m/c and stillbirth and it's such a simple test really.

Choc peanut so sorry about your losses and your GP i don't think m/c are always age more often than not they are something else-I started trying at 28 now 31 and I've had 4, now i'll take asprin when i get BFP as I have borderline hypertension and thrombosis.
Also had two friends who had babies at 39 no m/c problem free. Most of my other friends are 35-37 and none of them have had m/c.

pink have a good w/e,

baby f good luck
d4ph- thinking of you, and hoping some news.

typhoonsmum · 11/11/2006 09:42

Hi again.

Was meant to ovulate on Tuesday. BD'd from the Friday b4 till Wednesday and quite frankly I 've had enuf now. (From CD 9-15) All thru out this time I was trying to check CM. Didn't seem to be any. It was there for about an hour on Tuesday and then went.
Now I'm on the 2ww. Trying not to think about it to much or I'll work myself up. This morning I began convincing myself that I'd never get pg again. That I would be doing this cycle for the rest of my life.
I'm having a bit of a sad day today (in fact the past few days - liable to cry at STUPID things)

I'm irrational and moody. ( The one thing I miss about Implanon was no mood swings)

Uki

I have had all bloods done to check for infetility and other stuff (I gave 22 lots after stillbirth) all came back normal but I have bought baby asprin to be on standby as I reckon it wont do any harm

edie123 · 12/11/2006 12:28

Hi everybody, haven't been on here in a while. I am on CD10 today, BD last night and plan to get it is every day now if poss-every other if not

Wish me luck!!

Still no AF D4phne????

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE...

d4phne · 12/11/2006 13:13

Hi Edie. Good luck & enjoy! Still far from AF here, but at least I know now that hormones are going down. But: there is something moving on the job front and I might be reunited with DH before too long....My personal goal: be able TTC next year.

babyfettle · 12/11/2006 15:44

Sounds interesting re job front D4phne - keep us updated![fingers-crossed icon]!

Good to hear from you Edie - hope you enjoy the BD-ing. We managed every other day from CD14 to CD20, think ov sometime between CD19 and CD21, but didn't take temp this am, so not confirmed that yet - will update tomorrow. Unfortunately neither of us were in the mood on Friday night and we were sharing a room with DD last night!

Just thought I didn't tell you about me. We were TTC for 2 years, gave up and decided it wasn't meant to be, 2 months later was pg with DD. Had complications in late pg, so it took until DD was 1 before I was brave enough to even think about TTC again. Took 10 mths, before pg again, then MC at 9 week back in Feb of this year. Took about 12 weeks from first day of mc spotting before I had 1st AF again (courtesy of 2 ERCPs - quite annoying, but anyway....!). DH has been away for 19 weeks since June, so only now back on TTC wagon again - fingers crossed it will happen, but with past history, could take a while. If not pg by New Year, will ask GP for referral. Sorry that summary was a bit longer than planned!

Anyway, hope all had a good weekend.

Thanks everybody! Will be three weeks before I know more. (I guess I get a lession in being patient these days).

Babyfettle -- Sorry to hear about the complications on your journey. It's amazing that things sometimes work out at a time we least expect them (Think of your DD).

Could you tell me more about the 12 weeks until AF? I assume the first ERPC was incomplete? How did you find out? I have constant pain in lower abdomen (can stand it, but it's not normal) but no unusual secretion. Hormones are now at 10mIU/ml.

d4phne · 12/11/2006 17:27

Firststar -- cross fingers!!!

babyfettle · 12/11/2006 18:27

Hi D4phne, Yes, I know I am very lucky to have DD, we really thought after 2 years that perhaps it wasn't going to happen. I must admit 2nd time around I thought it might take a while to get pg, but I never thought once I finally managed it that I would then lose it. But I suppose you don't ever think about having a mc, until you have your first - horrible.

Anyway, after my 1st ERCP I was told my bleeding would settle down over 5 days. I had no bleeding for 3 days, but then on the 4th day (when I went back to work), I suddenly had really bad pains like very bad period pains (early contraction like pains!) and went to the loo and saw that I was bleeding very heavily. I rushed to the GP, who signed me off work for the rest of the week for emotional reasons and told me to keep an eye on the bleeding. She felt (quite rightly) that last place i wanted to be at that time was the EPU having another scan. Unfortunately, it then took another 8 weeks of on and off bleeding and pain (like quite bad period pains) and very regular trips to different doctors before I was finally sent for another scan by a locum. In between I never saw the same doctor twice, as it was always an emergency appointment, so I had to take what I was given! I had strong antibiotics prescribed twice in case it was an infection that was causing the pain and on-going bleeding, but they didn't stop it either. The scan showed a small mass, which was probably left over pg tissue, so I was booked in for an emergency operation 2 days later (no beds any earlier!) and after that the bleeding stopped instantly and AF arrived about 5 weeks later.

If you are having some weird pains, and your AF is late, have you discussed with your doctor what might be causing it? At least I had some physical sign with the bleeding.

Firststar, not sure at the mo when my AF date should be - my cycles are so irregular I can't really pinpoint them. But once I have had a proper temp shift, I generally count 14-16 days, from when I think I ov'd, so I'll let you know...

take care all,
X

edie123 · 12/11/2006 22:13

D4phne

I have been getting some odd achy pains in my tummy and back for a while. Went to doc and she was not bothered-didn't see my usual but a different one. She checked for bladder inf and that was it. I do have a bad back though and have done for a long time so have just put the pain down to being part of that but don't know. What is your pain like?

d4phne · 13/11/2006 14:22

Thanks for your story Babyfettle. I have been asking for a scan the last 4 times I went to the GP but my
symptions aren't severe enough for him/her to justify that. Will go private and have appointment next week.

Edie. I am so sorry because I feel I am dragging you into this more than you would be otherwise. My pain is a dull constant pain in my lower abdomen, not too far from menstrual pain. It is quite confined and doesn't radiate into the back and shoulders. It seems to me that since you had AF our stories are quite different now?! Hope you will find the reason for yours and get better soon!
