So you're a hedge-fund manager who wears Reiss suits and Clarks shoes but the allure of nappies and nannies is growing stronger? Yep. You're on the right buzz. We're heading straight for Knocked-Upsville and we've got an on-board telly for watching OBEM and slagging off the scrotes who go to th'ospickal clutching a Lidl carrier bag. Come and join us. Don't be coy. Don't forget yer lube and soy.

Hi everyone!! So much to catch up on as I couldn't get on here all day due to mumsnet eating all my 3G allowance!

Autumn - what a roller coaster, keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you!!

Purdey - what is with that hight temp with a bfn at this last stage?! I hope you find out one way or another tomorrow.

Spinning - I just dug out dhs results and I'm with the others on the confusion of how you could get a numerical figure for motility. The guidelines say 'normal' is greater than 32% progressive mobile. Morphology needs to be greater than 4%.

Need to read back to catch up.... Will reply to others shortly!

Found out today that a chap at work is also having investigations - seems like conception issues are more common than I thought! X

mrsb0710 · 26/03/2015 18:00

spinning sorry they're confusing you with all the sperm info. Hoping they can give you the proper results tomorrow and someone on here can help.

purds if AF is going to show up, hope it does soon so you at least know what's going on.

Got a good report from my IBD consult, just to call them if I get pregnant to adjust meds. Be nice if I have to make that call soon.

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 18:11

Ah thanks Sammy for finding out your results. Hopefully I'll have the correct answers tomorrow and I'll be back here with thoseSmile

I think fertility problems are a bit like mc in that it's not really discussed irl, I really think it's quite common to have problems ttc and it's sad women don't talk about it more. No-one irl knows we're ttc so being here is so important to me. I've learned so much from being on these threads and I have lots of new friendsSmile

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 18:30

Spinning we haven't told anyone this time either. My mum was so supportive last time but my granddad hasn't been so well this past year so I didn't think it fair to offload on her, though she does know we would like another and has this woo thing saying I will have 3!!! She is currently in Canada visiting her family. Last time quite a few family members knew and it just felt like the pressure was on so this time we have kept it to ourselves. My sil had problems conceiving her two even before we started trying but like you say nobody talks about these things

ThePug · 26/03/2015 18:42

I'm home and absolutely exhausted (symptom, obv). We drove through 8 counties today!

Spinning Annoying that the clinic didn't give you the results properly but great news that the tests have been done. More knowledge, more power. Hope the results tomorrow give you the full picture

Dizzy Maybe your precious little egg is popping out now and rollin' on down. Wouldn't hurt to get some more spermies in place to meet it.

Purdey I have no idea whether two kids would be double the work, or whether they would entertain each other (once past the first few months) therefore making life easier.

Oyster What DPO are you? We were dtd'ing at around the same time I remember but I think you might be a few days ahead of me.

Autumn Fingers crossed for you, hope your partner is being supportive and helping you cope with the uncertainty

Sparkly Excellent job on sucking it all up last night, you're a pro!

ThePug · 26/03/2015 18:45

I am 9DPO. Here's my chart. Had my highest temp yet today, but it was taken about 30mins early than my normal time (I was properly deeply asleep though). Yesterday's was about 45mins earlier than normal time. The two big dips a few days after Ov are I think invalid as I hadn't just woken up and one day I had spoken to OH.

How am I looking? Confused

juneybean · 26/03/2015 18:54

Hmm the sperm bank offered a numerical value for motility so it's not beyond the realms of possibility? Confused

thepug interesting dip yesterday!

Oysterbabe · 26/03/2015 19:01

I'm only one day ahead pug, 10DPO. I didn't ovulate until CD17 and my cycles are 28 days so I guess I have a pretty short LP.
I'm poas tomorrow regardless. Smile
When is AF due for you?

ThePug · 26/03/2015 19:04

I've only had one cycle off the pill so far and that was 33 days (AF came on day 34). CD34 would be a week today, so I guess if nothing has shown up by then I might.

Woolly84 · 26/03/2015 19:13

spinning hope you get some clarity tomorrow on the results - sounds mind boggling!
oyster and pug I'm in a similar place to you, about 11 dpo today but not feeling very positive about a BFP this month Confused

eskimolaura · 26/03/2015 19:14

Hi all,

Apologies in advance for the 'me' post, but I've just got in from doing Parents' Evening at my school, haven't had chance to read back through the thread yet, but I've got a letter through from th'ospital and I have a date for my ultrasound. It's a pelvis transvag one and it's next Wednesday morning.

Before I do a whole lot of Googling to find out about the ins and outs of this, can anyone tell me what will be involved? Are they looking for cysts and stuff? What else, if anything, are they looking for?

Am off to get my dinner and then I'll read back and catch-up, so sorry again if I've missed any big news!

Oysterbabe · 26/03/2015 19:42

Hope someone can help Eskimo.

Why do you say that Woolly?

I do have a bit of hope this month which is going to make it a lot worse in the likely event that it's for nothing.

MelonMelon · 26/03/2015 19:46

Hi Eskimo. I had a TV ultrasound in November and they didn't tell me what they were looking for. Lasted about 10 minutes and all I hard back from the GP was that everything was normal. Good luck!

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 19:51

Eskimo, my scan was about 10/15 minutes. External with a full bladder then I popped for a wee and she did an internal. It was fine, much better than a smear. The probe thing hardly goes inside. It was checking my tubes and ovaries, don't know if yours is the same thing though.

Pug, wow 8 countries! Love your chart, what a huge dip (implantation) although a bit early and a fantastic rise, ooh that could also be implantation according to Dr.PurdeySmile fx for you.

That's interesting Juney. Maybe they give the results out in numbers here. I'm sure I can get more info from them thoughSmile

Woolly84 · 26/03/2015 19:52

eskimo good luck for the scan, sorry I can't offer any advice but hopefully some others can!

oyster I just have my usual pre AF symptoms of sore boobs and feeling a bit emotional so I think she's on her way Sad
I'm glad you're feeling hopeful, fingers crossed it's a BFP, we need the next round of them here! Smile

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2015 20:03

Sparkly, when are you expecting a positive opk? Mines negative today but line getting stronger so hopefully tomorrowSmile

Mummyofonesofar · 26/03/2015 20:09

wotsits so pleased for your friend!

Sparkly I'm ok thanks. Just been trying to get my head back down at work after being very distracted recently and spending more time concentrating on DP in the evenings as have been neglecting him too.

Mummyofonesofar · 26/03/2015 20:12

Purdey I find 2 children no ore work than 1. I agree they entertain eachother more.

ThePug wow lots of driving. Hope you had a lovely time. Like your high temp! Much more hopeful looking than my shitty chart.

PurdeyPie · 26/03/2015 20:34

eskimo, great news! A transvag looks at everything except the fallopian tubes: ovaries; uterine lining/shape; can check for polyps and - I think - endo. Maybe someone else can add to this.

Pug, I really am excited by your chart.

PurdeyPie · 26/03/2015 20:41

Mummy, what do you mean? Are you a childminder? You only have one chimp, right?

MrsB, I am so sorry I neglected to wish you luck today. I'm pleased everything was good at the IBS appointment. Do you still have Crohns? I believe it to be such a difficult disease to manage and very, very painful Sad

victoria401 · 26/03/2015 20:46

Yes, the ultrasound. I also had an external full bladder one then went for a wee and came back for internal one. They were looking for cysts on ovaries, fibroids, uterus (and whether or not it has a tilt!). I even got told that she could see a corpus luteum from ov (i went on cd21) and said that I had a slight tilt in my cervix that could be straightened to allow sperm better entry by having a slightly full bladder!

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 26/03/2015 20:51

Evening all,
eskimo when I had mine they checked the ovaries and measured the thickness of the lining, they could also see I'd ov'd recently.
Hope everyone else is ok, especially those that have been having a difficult time.
I'm on cd18 and ff hasn't yet worked out when I ov'd, temps look a bit iffy this month so I have no idea what dpo I am.

mrsb0710 · 26/03/2015 20:53

purds that's ok. So many people on this board, and many with worse things to deal with.
They said my bloods look beautiful, and the meds have it all under control. I still get crap days, but having less stress helps. I know when I do get pregnant, they'll support me and make sure we both stay healthy. It's not going to stand in my way :)
I'll never be 'cured' but its manageable and I can't let it run my life.

I'm sorry you had a bit of a rethink about ttc again, but I think you are one very determined lady and just keep at it. You know we're all here for you, every step.

Nomio230 · 26/03/2015 21:05

Hi all,

Thank you so much for all your good wishes. I am finally home now. DH is out tonight, so I am slobbing in my pyjamas and catching up on here.

The funeral went ok. I was really glad I was there as my sister was in floods of tears & I don't think she could have handled it alone. It was sad, but it was a nice send off.

We then went to see my other sisteryoungest nephew for an hour or so. As everyone knows slobbery baby kisses can cure any sadness. Smile After that we wandered round the shops for a couple of hours until she felt ok to drive again.

Mrsb, I am glad everything went well at your appointment.

Autumn, I have my fingers crossed for you.

Purds that is poo. You deserve to be pregnant. Sad

Eskimo, welcome to the world of dildo-cam! I think everyone else has already explained it perfectly. I agree with Spinning, I found it less uncomfortable than a smear. The worst bit was the external when they pressed on my full bladder. I was scared I would wet myself!

Nomio230 · 26/03/2015 21:09

Sparkly, I have given up on temping. I very rarely get three hours unbroken sleep, so my temps were quite erratic which just confused FF. I also hated having to set my alarm early on weekends
