Looks hopeful aurora maybe implantation dip followed by big spike?

Like pear my spotting turned into heavier bleeding and severe cramps yesterday afternoon (of course that was the day dd felt the need to spike a temp and have to be picked up from nursery - fortunately she's much better this morning). Quite why I've had my shortest ever cycle I have no idea, obviously not yet back to normal after dd yet. Sorry pear I know how rubbish it is Sad.

Can't ttc for a couple of months now as we move house (don't know where to yet but it will be very long way from here) in early December (date is non-negotiable) which clearly wouldn't be ideal heavily pregnant or with a 1 week old! Think I'll try temping for a couple of months and see if I can work out what's going on with my cycles so come May we'll be all systems go. Imagine I'll have weaned by then as only on bedtime feed now, mixed feelings which I'm sure you all understand well.

Best of luck to you all!

AvaAmulet · 23/02/2015 20:50

Pear, I shall definitely try but I'm wiped out after taking care of my poorly (she's caught my cold) but still active dd all day while dh was at work then catching up on housework as soon as he got home as I've been out of action for a couple of days. The way I'm feeling this evening it'd be even less romantic than usual ie not just a quickie while dd is zonked but a coughing, spluttering, runny nosed quickie... Sexy...

Just saw the cutest thing - I just entered our living room and my dh whispered me to look in dd's pop up tent where she was quietly sat in a corner hugging one if her dolls to her, and when dh asked her what she was doing she said 'boob' - I asked if she was being mama and she said yes! Sooo cute!

AvaAmulet · 23/02/2015 20:50

Meant to say poorly dd x

peardrop2 · 23/02/2015 20:56

Just spent another £24 on Clearblue fertility sticks. Yay. NOT! Oh well. I won't be stressing myself with OPK sticks this month. Just going to stick with cbfm plus temping and I will NOTtestuntil DPO10 under no circumstances!!!!

How's everyone doing? Tbh I'm loosing track of who is OPks POAS and who is close to testing for their BFP?!

Today I am mentally preparing myself for dropping the 7pm. night feed. I've decided that the best way to do this is it just try. I'm going to offer a beaker of milk with cuddles and stories and see how DS gets on. Worst case scenario I then offer bf or maybe even 1 side and drop it slowly that way. If I stay positive and make it fun and light hearted without pressure then just maybe it won't be so sad!

auroraboringalis · 24/02/2015 14:53

Hi guys! Gosh I'm sending unmumsnetty physicalities to all of you with rubbish news. I hope you're all doing okay though. It's utter shittiness this business of ttc bf. Sad
I had wondered if it was a dip but today my temp dropped again, so who knows. Two dips? I don't think so. And Presuming I even ovulated. I'm consisting poas tomorrow, but ff has just told me it hasn't a fecking clue what my cycle is doing and removed ovulation completely unless I'm on the research mode. Hmm

peardrop2 · 24/02/2015 20:34

I'm enjoying another glass of wine after not bf DS tonight. So sad Hmm He took the cup of milk, drank half and then realised what was happening. He did ask for me by pointing but I just gave him a cuddle and said sleepy time which he accepted. We didn't have big tears and I was secretly happy he asked but also distraught he asked Hmm Just trying to remember how it is actually getting quite uncomfortable at night because he is so big in my lap and normally I'm just typingonmy phone anyway. Must stay realistic about it all too! I had a bit of a boo hoo downstairs but then DH reminded me that I'll probably be bf until I'm 39 if I want 3 babies lol I'm actually looking forward to the morning feed now!

auroraboringalis · 25/02/2015 06:41

Good work pear. It's very hard. Having gone back this week to bf on demand because DC was I'll, I have no idea how to do it again!
Temperature back up to 37.4 again this morning. I'm obviously broken.

AvaAmulet · 25/02/2015 19:46

We'll done, Pear x

TMI alert but - I noticed some EWCM whilst at work today for the first time this cycle - do you think my cold pushed my ovulation date back considering I should have ovulated a couple of days ago? Anyway, seized the moment while DD is already fast asleep (after her few coughing, sniffly late nights) and now feel like I'm properly in the 2ww...x

AvaAmulet · 25/02/2015 19:58

Aurora, I hear you. We keep going straight back to square one too whenever dd gets a cold or has another tooth coming through - her last 4 milk teeth are all erupting at once right now and that, along with the cold she's caught off me, means I've been feeding around the clock again for the last week. We co-sleep so I'm literally feeding on demand 24/7... I'm still holding out hope that this could possibly be 'our' month though, as I do every month (sighs)

peardrop2 · 25/02/2015 21:13

Eeek Ava! I love the part when you can relax knowing that you've done your bit! The two week wait that follows is hard though. Hope it goes fast for you Wink

Oh gee. I woke up this morning and thought OK weaning went well last night so I must cut down sugar today...then I bumped into friend who's just had baby and then ate a lot of crap ConfusedSad

OP posts:
ispyfispi · 25/02/2015 22:58

Oh Pear, that made me a bit teary! I really hope it pays off for you....
Apologies for not reading all the previous threads but for those of you still feeding on demand and having AF, did you have to cut down in order for them to return and then increase again after?
Also, for you bf ttc experts, is it worth buying a fertility monitor before AF returns? I've been looking at the CB one on the boots website and it says to wait 2 cycles if you've recently been bf but I'm curious to know what's going on and want to be doing something productive.
I know lots of you hope AF doesn't show up but frankly at this stage I'd be delighted!

peardrop2 · 25/02/2015 23:04

Ispy - don't buy a CBFM until AF has returned properly. You would probably waste your money. You would be better off buying IC OPKs or CLearblue smiley sticks which cost about £15 on Amazon. When AF hadn't returned after coming off the pill that is what I did.

So I've found my basal thermometer from when I got pregnant with DS. I know that was yonks ago now but I haven't used it since and the battery has just died...sods law or what!!! Confused

OP posts:
ispyfispi · 25/02/2015 23:12

Okay thank you! I just feel like I want to be doing something, although I'm aware this could become very obsessive ?? on the upside I guess one day I'll be so in tune with my cycles we can use the rhythm method as contraception!

RosieRue52 · 26/02/2015 00:27

Ispy I'm right there with you! I want AF back, it would mean I'm one step closer and could have an idea of what is going on! I'm crampy, but no period, sometime my face breaks, sometimes I'm emotional, on occasion I have EWCM.
I started doing ic about 3 weeks ago no sign of O. I also Start tempting regularly after being sick this week but have yet to put it on a graph, just wish there was more I could do/know Sad
My DS sleeps through the night, but still nurses 4-6 times a day. And I pump for the 2 days I'm at work

RosieRue52 · 26/02/2015 02:46

Sometimes my face breaks out

also started temping

Wow I was out of it, sorry I made that hard to read

eggsnbeans · 26/02/2015 06:52

rosie you can't be far off then if you're getting all those PMT signs, sounds really promising! I had similar for 2-3 months before AF came back this time Smile

How are you feeling about not bf DS now pear I was a bit sad when DD stopped, but being pregnant seemed to give me the real bf heebie jeebies, so was also relieved! Hope it is not long now for you though! I know last time I was really split over the thought I might have to stop bf DD1 to conceive a sibling, but this time I've got no qualms about stoppint to help conceive!

Ispy AF returned for me about 6 or 7 weeks after we had cut down from 8 to 4-5 feeds a day... may have happened anyway though as hadn't fed at night for a while and combined feeding time for the day wasn't very long. Does your DC just feed for milk, or also comfort suck at the end? You could try just cutting down total 'feeding' time first, I think lots of places say over about 60mins total for the day is the magic number (although has been a lot less for me). I've been contemplating a CBFM too Wink but might wait a couple of months yet.

Is anyone here planning on not ttcing Mar/april to avoid a xmas/new year baby? I don't really want to have a baby then (always think it's a bit unfair!) but can't bring myself to not ttc slightly obsessive

ispyfispi · 26/02/2015 07:27

Ah Rosie, that does sound promising! I posted several days ago as I had similar symptoms and was convinced AF was on the way, no such luck though!
My ds probably only feeds maybe 4 times during the day but at 16mo still lots at night as we co sleep. I think that's going to be the thing to change. I rather like the thought of getting more sleep but I'm so worried night weaning will inadvertently lead to the end of bf as it did with ds1 and dd1. I think we'll work on it this month though. It will be my something productive to work on!

ispyfispi · 26/02/2015 07:32

Eggs if it helps, my friend had her baby on Christmas Eve and had no one to look after her dc1 (being Christmas Eve everyone was away or with family etc) and the hospital was going to call SS to place him in care for the night, on Christmas Eve! Needless to say she discharged herself immediately after birth and went home with both Smile
