Just caught up on all the news!!! What a lot!

First of all pear I'm so sorry af arrived for you. I had everything crossed for you & you definitely deserve your bfp asap. I think 1 feed a day should be fine to conceive with (says she who is still doing at least 3 a day Blush) but totally understand your reasons for wanting to stop entirely. Big unmumsnetty hugs. Hope you are indulging in a glass of Wine - much deserved.

Dro huge congrats Grin I'm so excited for you expecting a Christmas baby!!! Also totally Envy! Please keep us all updated & don't disappear just yet.

I think I may have caught my dc's cold as my throat feels funny like I'm sickening Hmm

Mumof1sofar · 01/04/2015 22:56

PS Dro please can you post your stats? Smile

Droflove · 02/04/2015 00:29

Hi all, thanks so much for your kind messages. I'm still reeling and thrilled with the news. Horrified at the thought of telling anyone because I know it will be hard and am lucky enough to have the support of the two grannies at times so I feel like it impacts them too. BUT how freaking 3 citing will it be to see them grow up so close. My ds adores the baby from the moment she arrived so hopefully they will be a little gang. Not sure what stats people usually give but ill try to copy what I've seen. Ask me if I've forgotten something.

Age 33, married April 2012. DS (2) born Jan 2013 (yep, honeymoon baby), DD (6mts) born Sept 2014 after 2nd cycle post breastfeeding. BFP April 1st 2015 after 2nd cycle at the end of breastfeeding.

I'm very bloody lucky but not assuming all will go ok with this bfp yet. It is very early days.

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 07:11

Dro - so what you're saying is that in order to conceive Dd and this BFP you had to stop bf?

OP posts:
Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 07:13

Thanks dro. So exciting!

Omg I have just got my 5th flashing smiley in a row!!! Confused So looks like we will be dtd for at least the next 3-4 days (assuming I ever get a fixed smiley) - will have to do it at the in laws, awkward! Haven't done it this much in ages! Smile

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 07:15

Thank you Ava and Mum. Yes Ava, at least I know I've tried my damn hardest to keep bf DS and I would have continued! It's going to be tough not to have the magical answer to send him back to sleep or make him better when he's sick Hmm I really hope he adjusts OK. Dh has just taken him downstairs and I'm feeling so tearful about it but that's probably just last nights disappointment talking too.

Mum - whatever you do...don't give up Wink

I hope you don't mind me staying on the thread even though I've stopped bf?! SadBlush

Congrats Dro! Will be awesome having 3 so close in age Wink How are you feeling?

Sorry to hear AF got you Pear hope you are making the most of being able to eat forbidden foods and drink wine (only way I console myself when the witch arrives)

Are you 2wwing yet Mumo? I think I am finally 1dpo although I was pretty convinced I had ov'd last week too! So frustrating! Didn't temp this morning as baby was awake from 4am but had a dip yesterday I think. Now just waiting! I won't be too gutted if it doesn't happen this month as edd would be 21st DEC, but really hoping for next month!

Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 08:05

Thanks pear. Definitely stay on the thread please - I want to see you get your bfp Grin

Good luck eggs. No 2ww for me yet - I'm still on flashing smiley which according to my CB opk means high fertility but not yet peak fertility! They say a lot of people get 2 flashing smileys then peak - I have had 5 flashing smileys so far!! All this bd'ing better be worth it! Confused

auroraboringalis · 02/04/2015 09:42

Woman with baby around 16months just walked into tea room. About 9 months pregnant too. Aaaa-aaaar-agh! Easter Envy

I'm uploading my chart. First time since starting to use ff I've had solid crosshairs (xf for that longer than 5 days lp this time please!) but mainly I thought everyone will enjoy what a mess the temps are! Ah what a joy it is to have dc that turn everything neat into a mess! Easter Hmm

Pear, you must stay with us! Feel like we're all on this journey together...Flowers

Just read Dro's stats and was about to ask the same question as Pear? Confused

Couldn't switch off lat night and had a really broken sleep and so DD was feeding on and off all night. She can sense when I'm restless, so it's a vicious circle...

My temps are low again today, slightly higher than cover line but still low Sad sooo preoccupied with all this at work and feeling so paranoid I keep popping to loo to check if AF has arrived... colleagues must think I have a UTI... Blush

auroraboringalis · 02/04/2015 09:56

Oh of course not pear. Support support support!
also I stopped but it didn't last long what with dc being ill

Droflove · 02/04/2015 10:01

Hi Pear, I think cutting down to just the one feed, which I sometimes almost skipped in the last week or so, meant that the timing of ov became more predictable and steady. I can't tell you that stopping bf will make it happen for you and wouldn't want to encourage you to give up before you are ready. I think people can get pregnant while feeding quite a bit more than we have been. But each person is individual and you have probably just been unlucky so far. If you can confirm that you are ovulating then that is all you need, bf or not bf. Then it becomes about timing. You will get there, I'm sure of it. Its just shit that you have to wait and be disappointed first.

Eggs, I'm feeling pretty thrilled about it! Much more relaxed than on my other two as I know better what is coming. I get horrendously sick though so am terrified about that starting. In the past it has kicked in at 5.5 weeks but at 4 weeks now I am beginning to feel it creeping in so worried that it will start even earlier this time. I am a total basket case (barely able to lift my head) till about 18weeks and then stop vomiting around the 24wk mark usually. I have a nanny this time though and I will increase her hours for the worst patch to get through it. So I feel lucky to be better set up to deal with it this time. I feel a tiny bit guilty about my ds and dd and whether I can give them the attention they deserve during the ms phase but luckily with family and nanny they are well loved and have lots of people to keep them happy if I can't cope.

Droflove · 02/04/2015 10:09

Oh just to clarify exactly what I did for my last two bfp's.

DD - Was feeding ds twice daily when my periods came back, he was 6-7mts. Had 2 periods, didn't temp or do opks so not sure if/when I ovulated. Instantly had a steady 28 day cycle with clear indication of ov on CD14 by cm. Timed DTD around CD14.

This time - Was feeding dd twice daily and few times overnight when period came back. Had 2 periods. First cycle unknown. 2nd cycle was 35 days. Don't know about ov. 3rd cycle got +opk on CD16. DTD that night. -opk on CD18. BFP on CD 31.

Hope that helps.

Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 13:34

Thanks dro, that's really interesting. Eek so excited for you- what's your due date? Poor you with the morning sickness though. I absolutely hated being pregnant, labour & recovery yet here I am desperately wanting to do it all over again lol! Must be mad! Smile

AvaAmulet · 02/04/2015 13:58

I was sick ALL the way through from 5 weeks until labour, throwing up countless times a day most days and rushed to A&E at Christmas when I was 4 months pg as I was vomiting blood Easter Shock... yet I'm desperate to conceive again - they're so worth it, arent they? Easter Smile x

Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 14:02

Eek dh popped back from work so we have just dtd! Smile (Dc napping!)

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 15:35

Mumofone - yay Wink it feels like a massive accomplishment doesn't it.

Dro - Don't worry I wasn't looking for your advice. I was just a bit confused from your posts as one minute it looked like you were saying you had stopped bf and then the next minute you say you're still bf. Confusing Smile

Ava - Aww I know how torturous the toilet trips are. Good luck for tomorrow Smile

OP posts:
Mumof1sofar · 02/04/2015 18:46

Yes it does, pear! Especially as I'm getting so many flashing smileys we have to just keep going! (Sounds so unromantic Blush)

Hope you're feeling a bit better now pear... Only 2 weeks til you can try again SmileThanksThanksThanks

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 19:32

Mumofone - weirdly I'm feeling really fluey again. AF is making me really sick Hmm Not had this before. Do you get fluey symptoms after stopping breastfeeding? Hmm probably not as I was feeling like this last week. I hope it's just a bug and nothing linked to AF Sad

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 19:32

Mumofone - Thank you for trying to cheer me up Smile I'll be trying when you're testing Wink

Naughty mumo ! Easter Grin

MarysPrayer · 02/04/2015 19:57

Just popping on to say big congrats to Dro.

Pear I'm sorry that you've had to give up bf completely. Breastfeeding for this length of time is a great achievement though, you should be proud. Flowers
At 2 1/2 years I'm ready to wean dd but she is going through an horrendous sleep regression and separation anxiety atm so it wouldn't be fair.

Still not doing so good here. Currently on day 5 of heavy bleeding, although it is easing slowly. I feel physically and emotionally exhausted. I went back to work today though which actually has done me some good I think.
