Pear, I actually caved and tested today - wanted to get my bfn out of the way as it's been driving me crazy. Had upset stomach all day at work Sad

DD has a cold today - that explains the all-night feeding off and on - so we won't be cutting down on feeds any time soon Confused

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 20:30

Mary...thank you Thanks It's stupid but I really wish I could have made it to the 2 year mark!

Ava - oh Sad but still no AF is a good sign!! You're 12dpo tomorrow which is brilliant. Personally I think 10dpo is way too early to test. I won't fall into that trap again next month!

DH...who never ever encourages me to drink EVER asked me which bottle I wanted to open tonight. Opened our special Easter wine and after ?? 2 glasses of red I finally feel a bit more perky ??

Maybe the news of a friends difficult birth and another friends miscarriage has reminded me that life doesn't work out how you plan and a 2016 baby will be just as lovely Blush

Evening all, sorry I've not been about much these last few days. Am away for Easter and wifi is a bit patchy.

Dro, massive congratulations! Thanks Wishing you all the best.

Pear, sorry AF got you. I really thought this would be your month. Indulge and treat yourself kindly over the next few days. Are you skipping a month due to xmas DD? I can't remember what you decided.

Ava, no AF means there is still hope, so fingers crossed for you.

I'm CD37 here. No AF, no symptoms, no nothing. Starting to think I haven't ovulated this month, in which case I'm hoping AF will just hurry up and make an appearance so I can try again next month. Feel a bit down about it really. Will def need to try OPK's next cycle. I am down to two feeds in 24 hours now and think I will have to drop the morning feed this week to hopefully get ovulating. Feel sad about it though. It's such a precious thing bf'ing our little ones.

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 20:46

Duchess cutting down sucks doesn't it Hmm This would have been a Christmas baby so the next try will be a January baby. Beyond caring what month I get a BFP now Wink

Duchess007 · 02/04/2015 21:16

It's so hard Pear. DD is 16 months and I would really have liked to get to 18 months, but I need to try and remember that 16 months is a big achievement too. She's been unwell a fair bit these past couple of weeks and bf feels like such a gift when she's poorly. Think that's what's playing on my mind.

If AF doesn't show up by Monday I will Poas. DH is miffed that I'm probably not pregnant given how much we have DTD this month lol Keep forgetting this is only cycle 1 TTC, has felt like a very long month! Smile

peardrop2 · 02/04/2015 21:50

Oh Duchess...it's hard because they re at an age when they need so much comfort! I've still got 2 canines and 2 molars to go and I have no idea how we will get through that without bf! Tomorrow I have to get up and take home downstairs before he starts pointing to boobies Hmm Tv is a godsend distraction early in the morning! Smile

OP posts:
Duchess007 · 02/04/2015 22:15

Tv is the best distraction! Wink Don't know how many times I've said "Let's just see what's on Disney Jr..." when I dropped daytime feeds.

Oh God, forgot about teething Hmm DD has 14 teeth so we've still got miles to go.

DD has been a lot less fussed about the morning feed these last few days so I'm hoping that she won't be too upset about dropping it. The bedtime feed is a whole other story though! Will work my way up to that I think.

peardrop2 · 03/04/2015 07:41

Ava - any news? Smile

2nd day of complete weaning and my DS is not fussed at all. Typical man just wants his porridge lol He hasn't done any pointing or anything like asking me for it. The best bit is when he woke up twice in the night and DH had to settle him Wink DH is mega grumpy about that one as he had to go to work this morning but hey it's about time he took part in a role that is absolutely necessary, right Wink The only concern I have is that DS does not want ANY cows milk to drink. I was hoping he might except it this morning but he just pushes it away. He's the only kid I know who suddenly doesn't like cows milk since I dropped the nighttime feed. He used to love it after his nap but won't except it. He has become very fussy with his food recently so maybe it's just a turning 2 years old thing?!

Duchess, I would recommend temping too, if you haven't tried it already. This is the first month I've done it, and I can pinpoint from my chart that I ovulated and when, and some people can see when they implanted too. I think ov sticks and temping together are what I'll be doing from now on Wink Good luck for Monday x

Pear, sorry your lo still has four teeth to come through Sad DDs last four have been appearing gradually since Feb and seem to play her up intermittently, like every couple of weeks - I've found a soothing beaker of cold water in the night helps soothe them / her a lot x

AF is due any time today - she always used to show first thing in the morning - that's how I just knew I was pg with DD, I was that regular! But since coming back over this last 7 months she could show any time at all.....

Today I took temps at 5.30am (lower than yesterday) and again at 8.30am (higher than yesterday Confused) I have been using this 3 hour window to take temps, it's usually at 6.30ish though (I know it should ideally be the exact same time every day but I think I read that what I've been doing is okay too) Anyway, my boobies are still aching occasionally but I am in no way symptom spotting, as so many of them mean that AF us on her way too .....Sucks....Sad

TMI Gonna poas with fmu soon - not hopeful though x

Will report back, ladies x

peardrop2 · 03/04/2015 09:15

Ava - I would like to start temping. When should I start? Once AF has gone? Is there a site that can tell me what to do?

Good one Mumo Wink feels like a bit of a marathon sometimes ay! When they stop flashing it's almost a relief Smile oh how I wish I was 20 again sometimes!

AvaAmulet · 03/04/2015 09:45

Pear, You just need to take your temp every morning at the same time, as soon as you wake up, before eating, drinking, getting out of bed, etc - I take it orally under my tongue (but there are other ways Blush) You should start from the first day of your cycle but I started from day AF left this cycle and I've still got a really good chart - but will do every day throughout cycle going forward. FF website and lots of other baby sites have info - think I read every one Blush and they all pretty much say the same. I cancelled the return of the bbt thermometer I ordered from Amazon as I quite like temping in Fahrenheit and it reads to .2 places, unlike DDs thermometer - any thermometer will do, but I like that I have my own, just for this. Then every day put your readings into an app like ff or mydays(the one I use-so simple) Its quite addictive and the readings look a bit like a roller coaster - pretty much like my emotions this month whilst charting lol Hmm

Okay, so I think you can garner from the above that I got a bfn again today, and that I will continue charting and poas (oh, need to order more!) but I felt worse about it yesterday, kinda made my peace with it by today. Still sucks and feel like I've let DD down, but don't want to spoil any of my time with her feeling crappy that I can't make her a little bro or sis yet Blush x

Mumof1sofar · 03/04/2015 11:03

Day 6 flashing smiley & we have just dtd... Again!!! Smile

Mumof1sofar · 03/04/2015 11:04

Glad it's going well so far, pear Smile

Good luck duchess. Hope af stays away Smile

Mumof1sofar · 03/04/2015 11:05

Eggs I feel the same! It really has been a marathon this month... Feel close to giving up but I'm going to persevere. Couldn't do this every month though Blush

Mumof1sofar · 03/04/2015 11:06

Ahh Ava sorry you got a bfn. It's not over til its over though so fx for you Smile

AvaAmulet · 03/04/2015 11:52

Thanks Mumo Wink
