Hello Mumo. Welcome Smile A quick intro from me: TTC DC2. DS is 21 months, AF returned at 14 months, fed DS 7am & 7pm since 12 months and just dropped the 7pm feed last week. Now on my 4th TTC serious cycle (sigh). Yep, that sums me up Grin

My goal this week is to have a hot bath. One where I won't have to worry about over cooking baby Wink

Hi peardrop waves My AF only returned last week. I'm sure it only came back because my dd had a throat infection & couldn't nurse as often. We were originally planing to wait until she was 1 year but we just made the decision today to start ttc now! I definitely want to continue bf-ing though. X

Mumof1sofar · 01/03/2015 17:52

When's your bfp due peardrop? Mine is 23rd march but not totally sure as I've only had 1 af so far.

peardrop2 · 01/03/2015 18:07

Mumof1 - If all goes well this month my BFP will be due on 26th March. I'm really hoping this I may OV slightly earlier considering I've just cut down on feeds. Pinning a lot of hope in his. You're lucky. It took me moths to get my DH on board to say yes to dc2, that's why I waited until DS was approx 15/17mths before I could start TTC Confused not bitter at all lol

We are the opposite pear - he has been convincing me! He's been broody for ages. He is nearly 10 years older than me though (I'm 32) so feels like he wants to get on with it.

Mumof1sofar · 01/03/2015 18:18

The first time round it took us 5 cycles to conceive so I'm expecting at least the same this time round x

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 18:30

Oh, Happy St David's Day my support group All! Daffodil x

Hi Mumof1! I have just turned 35 (soooo don't feel that grown up, though!) We conceived DD first month of trying - no ov tests, no temping, nothing! Just knew when I would likely ovulate as my cycles were regular as clockwork before DD and that was it, just dtd every other day for a week or so. We didn't take it for granted though, and knew how lucky we were but this time round it is sooo different. Started ttc again when DD was 6 months old, AF returned when DD was 16 months. Spent a fortune on ov sticks but found them inaccurate and frustrating. Can't do temping as we co-sleep and will often feed during the night.

Pear, DD is 22 months, turns 2 at the end of April. And I love my flats and sneakers and wear them till they're on their last legs, too Wink

We are back to only one feed during the night now since DD's cold has cleared up - yay! How ironic if we get a bfp this month, eh?

auroraboringalis · 01/03/2015 18:35

Hi mum! Nice too see you popping over here from the march bus. The march bus is where I do all my gin drinking, and the bfing bus is where I do all my moaning. Grin

auroraboringalis · 01/03/2015 18:43

This week will be interesting. DC is getting better after a disastrous week and although I hope that all the on demand an night time bfing hasn't screwed me up again it is quite likely and so I will have to re-wean back to the two feeds a day plan again.
I had positive OPKs this last week so am hoping the b6 I've been glugging will have worked enough to extend my previous semi-cycle's luteal phase from four days to at least 12 for this cycle so that a bean can plant properly. I'm dreading AF arriving this week to repeat last months disaster! Sad But at least I have AF back, which is an improvement on the last six months Grin
Bfp expected around 15 march presuming the uterus lining holds till then.
Oh and we are knackered from shagging! Grin

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 18:44

Can I clarify, we only we only feed once during the night at the moment, BUT still on demand, as and when ALL day unless I can distract DD and apart from the 2 (albeit long) days I work since going back after maternity leave. DD has already started to feed less, and is less reluctant to be distracted from clawing at the boob during the day, so I'm (naively?) holding on to the hope that she will self wean soon ... (And it'll lessen my natural motherly guilt of feeling like I'm denying her Sad) x

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 18:47

Well done, and good luck, Aurora, and everyone else Wink x

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 18:51

I too am relieved that AF is back, so I have the piece if mind that everything is going in the right direction, but (tmi alert) my EWCM is pretty much non- existent .... It's like 5-6mm rather than 5-6cms. I remember, in my ignorant, pre-ttc days I would have it in abundance and think "eww! What's that? Gross... " little did I know that, fast forward a few years I'd be missing it... Sad

Mumof1sofar · 01/03/2015 19:05

Hi ava & aurora. Thanks for the lovely welcome. Everyone here seems really nice & friendly ??

Ava sorry you've had such a long wait & hope your bfp arrives soon Thanks

Aurora how old is your dc? Sounds like you've been busy so hope all the dtd pays off!

My dd is 10 months & I'm still feeding on demand too.

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 20:11

Thanks Mumof1, we have recently had a couple of months of bad luck with colds and flu during ov (typical) but I am trying to see the positive side - uninterrupted 1:1 time with DD before another DC (hopefully! Fx!) comes along and my attention is shared, but every month the ideal gap between my DCs I had in my head gets bigger and bigger...

DD would be an awesome big sis - she's so good with her 4 week old little cousin. I hope we can give her a little brother or sister soon - sorry to sound dramatic but, I just feel like we are failing her every month we're unsuccessful, when ironically, giving her something else she wants and needs (her mamas milk) is possibly what's holding us up...hmmph...x

MarysPrayer · 01/03/2015 20:25

Evening everyone Smile

Welcome mumof1, good to have you on board. Quick intro: I'm ttc#2, dd is 2.4 and is bf 2-3x per day (1st thing, bedtime and pre-nap if I'm not at work) AF returned at around 8 months pp. I think it came back so early because she stopped waking for nightfeeds from around 6 months; just a dreamfeed at 11pm. DD was conceived 1st time but I'm 37 now and have waited a year to get dh on board so I'm feeling impatient.

We could do with some clever person to do a stats page, like they have on the ttc buses. ...

Hi Ruth! I know! Right!? I am glad I waited till my thirties to have DCs (good job with generous benefits, a move up the property ladder, already travelled and had some great hols with dh) but because we did wait until the time was 'right' for us it feels like there's a mad rush now...

They do say you're more likely to fall pregnant with twins when your 35+ though (your body throws out multiple eggs in panic mode) so I may get my desired 3 DCs in only 2 hits Wink always trying to stay positive....Confused x

AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 20:41

Good idea, Mary! Unfortunately I am not clever Blush

MarysPrayer · 01/03/2015 20:53

Aaaaargghhhh twins!

I've read that when breastfeeding you're 9x (!!) more likely to conceive twins. Apparently.

peardrop2 · 01/03/2015 21:34

WHAT? Mary are you trying to give us a heart attack in our 30's? Shock

OP posts:
AvaAmulet · 01/03/2015 21:38

Really?! Wow... The thought would have terrified me previously, but last year we moved closer to my family so I know we'd have a lot of much needed help Wink and my 'plan' would be back on track if I got a 2 for 1 ... Smile perhaps all this ttc while breast feeding is making me crazy?! Confused x
