Thanks spinning My DH is working until 10 tonight. I will have to ambush him when he gets home.

Lillygolightly · 09/02/2015 17:17

Wow I am always catching up on here you chatty ladies!

Congrats to all the BFP's!!! Grin

Sorry for those who have been caught by AF Flowers

Well my opk sticks have arrived today so I am looking forward to using those next month, my BBT kit is still on its way...hoping it arrives tomorrow because I can start using that right away.

I am about 9dpo only symptoms so far is being really tired and having gone off my cups of tea. Trying to not think too much into it which is hard especially as I really went off my tea in my last preg, and I am a massive lover of tea.

Purdey Don't you get discouraged my dear!!! you keep positive your BFP is coming!! Your dishy doctor sounds nice ;)

Sparkly Can't help but feel a little excited for you looking at your chart. Fingers X'd for you.

mustbemad71 · 09/02/2015 17:46

Congrats on all the BFPs - good grief this thread moves fast I am struggling to keep up! Grin

Eskimo - I'd go for it one last time. I had loads of sex last month and got preggers (but has a chem). I think Purdey, Bowie and others on here are right - average spunk unlikely to be going strong 5 to 7 days later.

Sparkly123 · 09/02/2015 18:03

Purds yep same temp again...?!? More cramps and lower back pain today but imagine that is the result of increase in progesterone and absolutely nothing remotely related to a bambino.. Because it's too early! HmmConfused

Bowies yes-- lots of sex! Go!!! Ps I like your ramblings Wink

Nailgirl wooo a digi BFP! Amazing!!! Huge congrats!

Rainy love, I'm so sorry about AF!!! But so so pleased there is progress with the LP.. This is good!so hopefully by next cycle you will be sorted Wink fingers crossed lovely!

surferchic41212 · 09/02/2015 18:07

Well.. I've been reading the posts on my phone on the way to work, and back again, and I'm not sure I've got them all!

Went to GP today and they have referred me for 21 day progesterone test, and a pelvic scan. Blood test came back normal for all the generic things.. So now just wait and see.. They seemed really open to me getting support, so if my cycles continue to be a mess then at least I'll have a few answers..
My doctor was not nearly as exciting as Purdey's though!!

Continuing to feel pretty chilled- expecting AF in next couple of days as have turned into crater face (depressing when you still get spots at 31!)
(Having said that, not out till witch shows up.. but not very hopeful..

I'm loving the charting bytheway- have been oogling everyone else's.. But think I might end up waking at 4am every morning in order to take temp!!

Sparkly123 · 09/02/2015 18:07

Lily woo your supplies have started to arrive! That's great!! I'm hoping the tea thing is a good sign for you!! Wink

I wish I could feel excited by the chart but at the mo im keeping my head straight by telling myself that it's that high most months just slightly later.. And it can't mean anything at this stage anyway as I'm only maybe 6dpo! Hurry u v day!! Confused

Sparkly123 · 09/02/2015 18:09

Surfer that's really positive re the doctor! Glad they are moving forward on things and hope your tests don't take too long to arrange! Good progress!! You never know though, this could be the month!

loopylou1984 · 09/02/2015 18:17

Tessie - thanks, glad to hear it works! At least that gives me reason to continue with the horrible stuff! How often did you take it out of interest? I'm not sure about epo, I'm worried about anything that might affect my cycles as I'm so regular at the moment.

Purdey ?? at your doctors appointment - move over Mr Grey!

Hi to everyone, congratulations to the BFPs! Xx

Rainy34 · 09/02/2015 18:21

Thanks Sparkly, hope you are well!! xx

LadyStark · 09/02/2015 18:25

Can anyone join in? I hope so!

My first time TTC after having a lovely surprise DD. I'm 3 dpo on our first cycle of trying.

Quick question, does everyone take conception multivitamins and do I need to? This has only just occurred to me.

MissMrsMummy · 09/02/2015 18:30

Well I can report that EPO is having a good effect on me already!

I usually get v dry and uncomfortable for 2 days at the end of AF (feels like thrush but isn't) and this time it was significantly better!

Also I have no cm whatsoever after AF but yesterday and today I have had lots of watery cm. hoping it turns into ewcm in a couple of days for ov.

Overall it has just made me more 'comfortable' down below!

I am on CD10 and taking 3 x 1000mg a day from Holland & Barratt

nightandthelight · 09/02/2015 18:31

Of course anyone can join lady I'm not even supposed to be here but they put up with me :)

I take Boots Conception tablets, as far as I am aware folic acid is the crucial one.

BowiesJumper · 09/02/2015 18:32

Welcome Lady Stark!

I think they only thing they reallllly advise you taking pre-conception (and for first 12wks of pregnancy obvs) is folic acid, so that there's lots in place when the baby starts to grow. I take a conception multi-vitamin (which includes folic acid) so that I've got enough vit D and B etc too. Firstly because I'm a vegetarian, and secondly, because I'm a red-head so a sun avoider (vit D) Grin

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 18:41

Eskimo I saw quite a few charts while I browsed ff with people having ewcm after ovulation! :)

Allthefours · 09/02/2015 18:44

Thank you everyone for all your good wishes. Keep everything crossed for a sticky one. Still a bit Shocked, especially after yesterday's test.

Congrats to sarky and nailgirl on your BFP's. Today is a good day for it! It also happens to be my eldest sons 20th Birthday.

Sorry to those for whom AF arrives. Flowers

I have been a lurker on the buses since last October but started to post on this one which has been very lucky for me. I can't tell you how invaluable the information that is shared on forums like these - it's hard to know what is best sometimes! I will stick around for a while though, cheering everyone on!

LadyStark · 09/02/2015 18:46

Thanks for the welcome!

And how could I forget about folic acid? Will nip to the pharmacy on my way home just in case I am lucky enough to be successful this month. I'm going to blame pre-conception brain/excitement (if it's even a thing).

I think I have picked up most of the acronyms but what is EPO?

surferchic41212 · 09/02/2015 18:52

Cheers sparkly.. Welcome ladystark! I only started posting last month (after stalking threads for about 2 weeks), and everyone is great- plus we can chat about the stuff the OH would be bored by!

eskimolaura · 09/02/2015 18:53

Thanks austral, think we will have another go tonight anyway, just in case, but it's an interesting one!

Welcome Lady Stark!, I love the buses already and I haven't been on very long. I think they're fab and full of info and giggles.

ShirleyBossey · 09/02/2015 19:06

JunoImAnExStripper, I hope you don't think I was pillorying IUI. What I was trying to enunciate was that if, as my glorious GP would have us believe, our fertile window really can not be reliably guaged by opks and cervical mucus, then IUI clinicians would not rely on them to pinpoint the onset of ovulation. Am I making sense? (Probably not - I'm hiding up a tree outside my doctor's house watching him through his lounge window. Whilst strumming).

Lillygolightly · 09/02/2015 19:11

Sparkly Well I will be keeping my fingers X'd for you anyway. It's funny how I usually find V day creeping up on me all to quickly yet when your waiting to test like now, everything seems to drag so slowly!

ShirleyBossey · 09/02/2015 19:13

Eskimo, let us say your LH surged at midnight Thursday. Depending on who you believe you would have ovulated at the earliest noon on Friday and the latest midnight Saturday (but then the egg survives for twelve hours so sex up until noon on Sunday would have been prudent). I choose to believe the research that pinpoints ov between 24 and 36 hrs after a true LH surge. Perhaps if I altered my thinking and guaged ovulation occurring 48 hrs after my surge (plus the twelve hours survival time added on) - and continued to have sex util then - I would have had three nippers by now Sad

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 19:18

Sorry for name-change muddle Blush

juneybean · 09/02/2015 19:19

Oh yes!! That makes sense! Say what you like about IUI though, it didn't work for me except make me poorer(!)

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 19:28

giggles at purdeyshirley

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 19:28

Surfer and Rainy, I really hope you get answers to your respective riddles. Hang on in there Thanks

Welcome, Lady. Of course you are welcome. Do you have a ticket for this bus? A butternut squash will do, or perhaps some grilled radicchio?

Sparkly, I won't let this rabble whip you up into a frenzy of expectancy at 6dpo I so desperately want your dream to come true soon, though...
