Ah Purdey ! Delightful!

I def don't make it to uterus no! I've heard that's dangerous to do unsupervised!! My Cath will prob go to the opening of the cervix - but no inside.. Much like the good old natural way. I was told the chances are much the same with ICI and IUI... By fertility clinic.

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 13:47

purdey I find your mice comment some
what disconcerting after that medical porn insert... Grin

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 13:49

Juney, pa ha! about your body freaking in ecstasy at the introduction of long-forgotten spunk! Grin

ravioli, you can't have your cake and eat it you either take charge of your fertility and pinpoint ov using opks or you 'take the relaxed approach' and take yonks to get pregnant leave it to chance.

mrsb0710 · 09/02/2015 13:50

Haha. I just read spinnings comment as "your doctors tip" clearly you've infiltrated my pure virginal mind Hmm

No where near ovulation, but DTD anyway. DH was happy with the news we need to do it EOD. Let's see how long that lasts!
I now have him painting, whilst I sit and binge watch The Walking Dead.
All going well, I think I'm due to ov around V day.

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 13:52

spinning, it was useful insofar as I now know I will never have anuvver babby Sad

mrsb0710 · 09/02/2015 13:53

dojo I'm CD6 also. Are you using OPKs yet?

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 13:54

Final questions ( for uh now) on ff and b6. I assumed I just pop b6 all the time, but am I supposed to only take it for a few days during my cycle?
Cd6 today, AF has now buggered off. Taking I have no information on when i might ovulate this cycle would you ladies be so kind as to suggest when I should start using opks this time around and, more importantly, when I should start DTD? Tomorrow? Today? Friday? (Ff is just suggesting the dead average 14/28day thing for me at the moment until I guess it can detect a temp shift or I input cm info or something.)

sarkymare · 09/02/2015 13:55

We rent and the landlord doesn't allow animals. So we can't have a cat Sad

This house is strange. We moved in last April. We woke up on our third day here and there was woodlice everywhere. At least 20+ in every room downstairs and strangely even a few upstairs. This continued for about two weeks and they disappeared. A few weeks later the ants came. Stayed for two weeks and disappeared. Likewise the fleas, we have no animals, they came, bit me up to high heavens and disappeared after a week or two. I'm moving out if the locusts come! Confused

Do think I should inform my GP/MW straight away? I was thinking of waiting a week or two as not to tempt fate again. Is this not wise due to my MMC in December?

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 13:59

Sparklynips, I consider you an informed and erudite sort who knows her shit. As such, I am going to agree with you and JunoWhoIAm and believe with all my heart that intracervical is just as successful and that ov can happen there days after the surge and that there really does exist something called a G-spot Hmm

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 14:02

useful insofar as I now know I will never have anuvver babby

Wait, what? Did the gp say that definitely?

CoffeeTwo · 09/02/2015 14:09

why are you thinking that Purdey?

raviolig · 09/02/2015 14:10

Prudent I know I know! I am trying to take it easy first month because I am just off the pill. Though with dd I did everything temps, opk, and it took me 13 months. With ds I didn't do anything other than use ovulation pains as an indicator and dtd the week following and it took 4 months. Next month I will be prepared, I promise!!!

nightandthelight · 09/02/2015 14:13

Are opks really essential? I thought that if you dtd eod throughout your cycle then there is always sperm in situ?

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:16

Aww.. soz, australalongthebeachisnice and coffeerevelstasteofshit, I was wallowing in the mire of pessimism. Of course my doc didn't say that (his mouth was too full of my nipple to say anything).

Twinkletoes007 · 09/02/2015 14:17

Oooh keep going purdey. This is better than 50
Shades...

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:18

night, you sound right up my doc's street. That is correct: opks are for those of us who can't be added with that much sex and would rather be awash with spunk when it matters

spinningirl10 · 09/02/2015 14:19

Purdey, really? Why? Is that what he said? Sad

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:19

*'added'? Arsed!

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:22

I am now swimming in yet more spunk: 2.5mls again today. So...that's cd7, 13, 15, 16, 17 & 18 (today). I had my positive opk at 10am yesterday. Have I done enough? Opinions, please...

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:24

Grin at ravioli calling me prudent!

nightandthelight · 09/02/2015 14:27

Thanks Purdey this will be our first month TTC so I don't think lots of sex will be an issue. Might be a different matter in a few months!

Sparkly123 · 09/02/2015 14:31

Purdey pie! Good decision id say Wink my temp is the same today.... Confused you have AI lots! Good job. You are getting preggers. Nae doubt about it! WinkSmileGrin

PurdeyBirdie · 09/02/2015 14:37

Spunkly, another vertiginous temp? You have beautiful prog levels, yes?

Australogyisapileofhorseshit, did you end up having a full-on AF then? Only 6 days after ov??

BowiesJumper · 09/02/2015 14:39

Purdey, I would like the address of your doctor... ehem.

Yes what you say about having sperm in situ makes sense... if the average sperm only survives 1.5 days, and it needs to be there, raring to go in the 12hrs the egg is hanging about then you'd WANT to have sex every day before ovulation, just in case, although eod might work. I mean, if spunk from Sunday evening expires by Tuesday lunchtime, and the egg is released Tuesday afternoon, then sex on Sunday and Tuesday evening covers you, but ideally you'd want it already there waiting on Tuesday afternoon... so sex on Monday too would be best. But obviously you can't pin point to the hour when the egg is ready, right? I'M CONFUSING MYSELF WITH MY DRIVEL, IGNORE ME.

I got some twinges earlier. Does ovulation pain (if that's what it was... I'd say it was a bit early in my cycle for it at cd10) happen just before ovulation or exactly AT ovulation? I'm such an amateur!

I feel a bit lost because I'm not sure if opk's will work for me because of "borderline" pcos and my temperature has barely changed at all (ok, I've only been taking it a few days) and I have restless sleep. Thankfully I have regular cycles but I just want to confirm to myself that I ovulate!

I think we'll just have lots of sex and hope for the best, cover all bases!

Thus ends the out pourings of a madwoman.

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 14:57

Lol purdey Grin at your nnames!
Yes, and I think less than that even! Positive opk on 30th, AF arrived on the 4th! Hmm shortest lp in the entire history of lps! What I would describe as a bog-standard AF lasting four/five days with only very mild cramping. She's gone now. Fecking AF. Weird cycle.
