Go Rhi - that looks like a great line!

Also, news my end. Got my Day 21 progesterone checked and it came out at 57. Done a quick bit of googling and looks like a good amount so feel very reassured as I have serious spotting issues, a temperature that doesn't know what it is doing, a cervix I cannot find and cm that ranges from brown to cream on an hourly basis.

MillieMoodle · 02/02/2015 15:42

Definitely a line Rhiannon! Congratulations Grin

MissMrsMummy · 02/02/2015 15:44

Just read back and bit of a rubbish day for bfns and missing AFs! Sorry to all you ladies Flowers Cake

Thank goodness rhiannon just posted her positive hpt! Great news! Now please provide us with a digi to drool over...

sparkly how exciting about your ewcm! Have you taken EPO or anything? I have started it but AF is here so I can't tell if it's working yet or not!

59sound · 02/02/2015 15:44

Hey ladies, just checking in (was on the January bus and have been catching up on February today). CD14 for me and think I have ov'd as had peaks on my CBAFM on Sat and Sun and temps have gone up from 36.1 to 36.6 yesterday and today. Would you dtd today anyway or do you think I'm past my best?! Any advice v gratefully received!

MissMrsMummy · 02/02/2015 15:46

Oh twinkle that sounds like a good number.,. Mine was 25! So it confirmed ov but is still not very high. Wonder what they'll say about the spotting as there are a few of us on here who have it!

Rainy34 · 02/02/2015 16:08

Twinkle glad your test came back with a good high number, if you find out about the cause of the spotting can you please report back, as a fellow spotter it would be interesting to find out what they say

Twinkletoes007 · 02/02/2015 16:17

Not seeing GP for a couple of weeks but miss and rainy I will definitely report back. I thought the link to spotting would have been progesterone so now it's got me baffled. Not going to google any more though as I can convince myself I've got anything!

59sound I'm not sure I can help but I know someone who will be able to...purdeykins where art thou?

MissMrsMummy · 02/02/2015 16:18

Eek I have read a few times now that temping and opks SHOULD NOT be used as they cause anxiety stress when TTC. I am a very anxious person anyway so now I am considering ditching it all for a few cycles to see if it helps.., anyone got thoughts on this?

victoria401 · 02/02/2015 16:19

They say over 30 is good for maintaining a pregnancy so looking good twinkle. Mine was 42 (a whole year ago, sigh)

KnitFastDieWarm · 02/02/2015 16:26

Well that escalated quickly! I go away for a few days and we're on page 17, bus number 3!

I've probably missed stats but in case I haven't - KnitFastDieWarm, 27, ttc #1, cycle 2, bfp due 19th feb (ish)

I'm trying tracking with Ovia this month AND conceive plus lube, which poor DH reviews as 'a bit offputting' (I quote Grin) However he has been manfully rising to the occasion.

We visited some friends who have a gorgeous 14 month old DD this weekend, and on our return DH was filled with renewed enthusiasm for TTC, having spend the day crawling around on the floor playing with Duplo. I think the reality is beginning to dawn on him that he might actually be a dad soon, and he's getting really excited!

Fingers crossed for all who are POAS in the next few days Smile

kissinggiraffe · 02/02/2015 16:53

missmrs try not to stress about stressing!! I was really stressed when we were ttc #3 and my lovely wise nana said it was fine to feel stressed if that's how I was feeling and that babies are conceived in all sorts of situations such as war etc. So stress doesn't actually stop conception. Stress away!! Smile

Twinkletoes007 · 02/02/2015 17:05

missmrs I hear you. I'm also considering ditching the temping and OPKs next month because I'm a natural stress head and I'm getting overly stressed by my random results, temping in particular. I'm setting my alarm early and then can't get back to sleep and the last couple of weeks I have been knackered!

spinningirl10 · 02/02/2015 17:14

Rhiannon, CongratulationsGrin

Sparkly, dtd now Wink

loopylou1984 · 02/02/2015 17:30

Missmrs - I have given up the opks, because we decided we'd rather just go with at least every other day over the rough ov time than be dictated to by pee sticks (think dh was finding it more stressful than me which is rare!).
However I am not giving up temping. Reason being that a few of cycles back before I started temping I had a random 43 day cycle during which I was convinced I was pg despite bfns.... Had I been temping I would have known if ov was late or hadn't happened and would have saved myself a whole lot of stress!
Go with whatever works best for you Smile x

loopylou1984 · 02/02/2015 17:30

Rhiannon - congratulations!! Xx

fififolle · 02/02/2015 17:38

I've given up the OPKs and am having Accupuncture. At the first session, she asked me when I ovulated, I replied CD19 so she asked why I was using them!! It was a v good point as I have very regular cycles. I guess it's just too easy to get caught up in everything when TTC (especially for a control freak like me!). I'm hoping that the Accupuncture will help me to relax and help me to conceive. She also pointed out the importance of drinking enough water, deep breathing and excercise. I've also stared a weekly yoga class which I really enjoy.

woodpigeon123 · 02/02/2015 17:45

Hi Purdy,

Thanks so much for having a look.... I only started temping from CD6 so here's the chart from then...

Still getting EWCM though which is odd?

woodpigeon123 · 02/02/2015 17:47

I think I started doing OPKs from about CD12....

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 17:52

I'll be cluster posting as Mother is here and causing my tot to be wild Hmm

Heir, when cycles fluctuate more than a day or two each month it means something is causing the hormones to be imbalanced leading to a) a delay in ovulation, or b) an absence of ovulation. The pituitary gland is responsible for signalling all the reproductive hormones to get their arses in gear (luteinising hormone, FSH, TSH, estradiol). Cortisol (the stress hormone) has a huge impact on the pituitary gland (which is where, I suspect, Dojo's problem came into being in October).

For anyone whose cycles are erratic in length I would always get to the GP and ask for the basic Day 3 & day 21 blood tests. Unless you are charting your temps you have no idea whether you are even ovulating.

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 18:03

Woodpigeon, keep at it, love, you have yet to ovulate. Are you testing LH twice a day?

Twinks, that result is good. What do you think you'll do about the spotting?

woodpigeon123 · 02/02/2015 18:03

And today's OPK.... Negative as not same depth, but strong-ish? Or maybe not....

But am on CD 19, usually ov CD 16/17

Thanks so much Purdey... You're so lush for replying xx

ninjabeer · 02/02/2015 18:10

Evening ladies, I've just come back from the GP and been given a prescription for Amoxicillin to get rid of a chest infection that is lingering. Am currently on DPO 5 - do you think it is ok to take it in the tww? To be honest I've felt so ropey over the last 10 days I'll be very surprised if we will even get a look in this month but you never know!

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 18:11

Dojo, you poor sod. I hope your GP takes your cycles seriously.

Rhiannon, congratulations! Thanks

Ricicle, I'm so sorry Sad Why the short cycle? What length are they normally?

Ravioli, how great your hubby is back on board Smile
