Sparkly123 · 02/02/2015 13:09

Welcome raviolig Smile

Sparkly123 · 02/02/2015 13:10

Blondie I would call a pharmacist to be sure, sorry I don't have to answer. Confused

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 13:20

Dojo, if you can't wait until Wednesday (and I deffo couldn't) then I would go to your local hospital and get your bloods done (blood form from behind the receptionist desk at your GP surgery). You just rock up at the blood clinic at the hozzie and you'll get your results tonight, if you're quick. I'm so sorry you're crushed. It is certainly puzzling..Thanks

Raviolig, welcome! I am fascinated to know why on Earth you went on the pill for just six weeks!

dojo123 · 02/02/2015 13:24

In prep for my appt with the docs on Wednesday. I have just gone through my diary to calculate my cycle lengths for the past 12 months. I have never been later than 28 days and I am currently on 32 days. Just though it was interesting ammo to go along with....

Cycle timings 2014-2015
05 Jan - 31 Jan, 27 days
01 Feb - 27 Feb, 27 days
28 Feb - 27 Mar, 28 days
28 Mar - 24 Apr, 28 days
25 Apr - 21 May, 27 days
22 May - 17 Jun, 27 days
18 Jun - 14 July, 27 days
15 July - 07 Aug, 24 days
08 Aug - 03 Sept, 27 days
04 Sept - 30 Sept, 27 days
01 Oct - 23 Oct, 23 days
24 Oct - 18 Nov, 25 days
19 Nov - 06 Dec, 18 days
07 Dec - 01 Jan, 26 days

02 Jan - ?? ???, 32 days and counting

Right, off to get a lot of cake!!!

dojo123 · 02/02/2015 13:27

Thanks Purdey I might think of doing that. I was going to swing by the docs on my way home today anyway to pick up a pee pot so I can take a 'first' sample on Wednesday (which is when the HGC or whatever the chemical is, is meant to be at its strongest).

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 13:51

Dojo, I'm a little perplexed as to why your cycles became erratic in length from your Oct cycle; the previous 10 months were identical more or less. I'd like to know what has happened since October because that amount of fluctuation isn't normal. Ask the GP for day 3 & day 21 bloods to check you are ovulating and that your prog is not deficient. It's not right that you have gone from regular 27 day cycles to 18 and 23.

nightandthelight · 02/02/2015 13:51

BabyBump any chance of some advice on how to upload the stats on a spreadsheet?

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 13:54

I have an appointment for next Monday to ask my GP for DHEA. I have a battle on my hands as GPs are reluctant to prescribe something they attest 'doesn't work'. Well..I will be armed with Nomio's study (thank you, darling!) that proves them wrong and I will get seriously vicious if he doesn't see sense and comply with my demand. If a drug has no known adverse side effects the very least he can do is indulge me. I'm not leaving his office until I get it.

PurdeyBirdie · 02/02/2015 13:55

Baby, thanks for the seating plan, you're so clever Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/02/2015 14:01

You go girl.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 02/02/2015 14:02

Purdey I read your post to Dojo with interest re the cycle fluctuations not being 'normal'. My last few have been 30, 33, 43 and 42 days, currently on CD23. Do you think the GP would agree to look at this? I have been assuming that it hasn't been long enough to go and ask for tests etc - would you ladies do it anyway? I was on the pill or implant for 14 years so I have no concept of what is normal and regular for me which is making it so hard to pinpoint when I might be fertile!

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/02/2015 14:04

nomio how is moving? We are now packing and I'm sick of the sight of bubble wrap.

Just found out DH and I are moving to an area where IVF is limited to the under 35s . Time to start saving.

dojo123 · 02/02/2015 14:05

Purdey October I was very stressed at work, dealing with a right jobsworth who upset me and made me really ill. The doc signed me off work for two weeks for me to 'rest'.
Just after my Dad was due to have his heart bypass and valve replacement. It was cancelled at the beginning of November and postponed until the beginning of December. I saw him on Friday 5 December in hospital, I must have relaxed in the knowledge he was going to be ok as I came on the next morning.
But I will definitely quiz the docs as something isn't right.
I did wonder if the penicillin, that I finished yesterday evening, could have delayed my AF.

raviolig · 02/02/2015 14:15

Purdey I was on cerazette for about 6 months but it was really bad and I had af 2 weeks on 2 weeks off which was horrendous. I stopped taking it and was looking into other forms of contraceptive so just didn't take anything. But hubby was starting to get a bit worried I might get pregnant so I went on rigevidon. I wanted no. 3 with a 2 year gap like my first 2 but hubby at first said at least a 5 year gap, then no no .3 then on Friday asked how I was finding the new pill. I said I didn't like what it was doing to my mood. So we discussed having another, resulting in, me stopping the pill and agreeing to begin ttc. It is a huge shock as he has really not been keen but we had a proper chat, I had bad SPd both pregnancies and part of that is because I am hyper mobile. I am worried the longer I leave it the harder I will find it to cope with pregnancy again. Plus I seemed to be having very long, heavy and painful af so worried there is something more going on, especially with the length of time it took first time around. Sorry this is long, hope that answers your question, and a bit more besides !!

MillieMoodle · 02/02/2015 14:31

I've been looking into the side effects of coming off cerazette Shock Apparently many of the side effects are similar to early pregnancy symptoms which would probably explain how I've been feeling for the last week or so.
Cd28 for me, bfn and no AF. I suppose I just have to wait for AF now...

Sparkly123 · 02/02/2015 14:58
