Thanks Dozy for your reassuring story - really appreciate you taking the time to share that.

Purdey - thanks for your message too. I will of course keep you posted about how I get on.

dojo123 · 05/02/2015 19:02

Sparkly I feel I have got a bit of my personality back. The 2WW I felt numb/emotionless/blob like. I really felt like my hormones had flat-lined me.

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:05

For Anyone Charting. This is from Fertility Friend and explains the 'three over six' method of pinpointing ovulation (I mistakenly thought it was 'three over five'):

What is the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM)? Does Fertility Friend use FAM?

'Any method of identifying the fertile and infertile time in the menstrual cycle by self observations is a kind of fertility awareness method. The term Fertility Awareness Method, or FAM, however, has come to be associated with the "three over six" way of identifying ovulation and the infertile/fertile time. This method, similarly described by both the World Health Organization and Professor John Marshall in the 1960s and geared largely for couples wishing to avoid pregnancy, identifies ovulation after three temperatures above the previous six temperatures have been observed and cervical fluid has dried up. A coverline is then drawn slightly above the highest of the six temperatures before the temperature rise.'

Sparkly123 · 05/02/2015 19:05

Well I'm so glad to hear you are feeling Perkier Dojo it's natural, your hormones have been all over the place. Flowers

Twinkletoes007 · 05/02/2015 19:07

sparkly same happened to me this month. Got the LH surge CD14/CD15 but no temp increase until CD18. So weird. Unless my measuring was out. This is quite possible because I had another progesterone test today CD23. Was 60 so a bit higher than CD20 (57) and shows my temping is crap as today I got a sharp temp decrease! Sounds like you know what you're doing temping wise so am v interested to know what is causing the delay

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:11

You are all very gracious in the face of pregnancy announcements. When that granny at baby group told me she was 42 and pregnant whilst looking like a 50-year-old Vicky Pollard I wanted to knock her five teeth out.

spinningirl10 · 05/02/2015 19:14

Love your chart Sparkly, ovulating later after your first surge is fab although unusual, plenty of time to get lots of sperm waiting Wink

Sparkly123 · 05/02/2015 19:15

Twinkle ok maybe I'm not a mutant!! I always see everyone else having their OV day or two after LH surge but mines crazy! It's the same every month even the month I got my BFP and I take it exactly the same time every day.. So I have no explanation?! I def am ovulating as I have had prog tests too on day 21 for a few months.. Although to me it should be higher as it's always 32!.. But doctors say it's satisfactory. Still doesn't explain the temp thing!!.. If Purdey is flabbergasted what chance do we have ?! Ha ha

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:16

Dozy, thanks for coming here to share your experience and congrats on your pregnancy Thanks

I'm so glad you're bouncing back, Dojo Smile

How you feeling Sammy and what date is your scan?

Where is emma? I liked her.

Can the over-forties remind me of who you are? I can only remember mustbemad and I feel like I need some solidarity from the vintage ladies.

Sparkly123 · 05/02/2015 19:17

Spinning I'm a weirdo ?!?! What does this mean!! Can I stop AI now do you think ?! Anyone ... Anywhere... You know I've been called a medical mystery many times in my life , surely to god not this too!!! Ha ha

mrsb0710 · 05/02/2015 19:19

Hi ladies. Just twiddling my thumbs, waiting for AF to go away.
Timed nicely though, can start the SMEP first day that DH has off. Excellent :)
I'm interested in temping, but never get an unbroken sleep over 3/4 hours, so not quite sure how helpful it would be?

Twinkletoes007 · 05/02/2015 19:19

Here you go sparkly. Another mutant chart.

All aboard the Feb bus, as we finally take off
Sparkly123 · 05/02/2015 19:25

Oh my Twinkle you too are a mutant! Wow. Unbelievable isn't it?!who can explain this?! The difference you have is a sharp rise after OV to a high temp where as mine is always very slow rising day by day

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 05/02/2015 19:30

Ah I am feeling the pain with the scan pictures on fbook. Must be one each week.

Sammylou - no! you can just be the friend who texts congratulations instead - much more genuine and personal i think.

I am CD19. Had major belly ache yesterday and through the night. got my hot water bottle on it and went to bed. Still felt a bit achy today so fingers crossed thats OV pains. Not taken any OPK's dont trust those fuckers!

But my BBT came today :) for some reason I had it in my head I had to take my temp up the flange! thank god I found out its oral!

Also, I tried to feel my cervix today..No idea what I was feeling for! lol

I'm not doing very well at this am I.

Sparkly123 · 05/02/2015 19:33

Ha ha Glittery! I tried with the cervix and nae chance so I'm over it...! Temping and OPKs and cm check for me! I also thought the same about the thermometer .. Relief knowing I can just stick it in my mouth! Fingers crossed for you OV is happening!

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 05/02/2015 19:39

Ah sparkly so glad you are the same as me! lol :)

DH better be ready tonight. I'm going to shave my legs and everything. And I NEVER shave my legs in the cold months :) xx

Wishing123 · 05/02/2015 19:39

Yes giraffes is more fun lol! N I hope so..not got cramps now but I feel really sick i couldn't eat all my tea! It's makin me feel sick just looking at my phone! Excited to get a clearblue Tomoz but wouldn't like to go work feelin like this...feel so sickly xx

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:41

MrsB, unbroken sleep for three hours will do the trick.

Glittery, does this help? Once you've vomited and wiped it off your phone, consider your cervix is a little like a bellend with a similar Jap's eye in the middle. When you are not fertile your cervix will feel easy to reach and firm, like touching the end of your nose. When you're fertile the cervix springs right up and is really difficult to reach (unless you are blessed with a digit like ET) and feels spongy, soft and the hole is open.

I have to admit I find it extremely difficult reading my cervical position because I can never locate that hole thingy to be able to tell whether it's closed or not Confused

Allthefours · 05/02/2015 19:46

purdey I'm an oldie!! 40 (41 in April). Feel like my eggs are knackered and my age is preventing us from being parents again.
Didn't have an issue when I was younger (3 kids in 5 years).

Would love a baby with DH, and know it can happen as I conveived twice last year, sadly they didn't stick. Sad

Giddymamma · 05/02/2015 19:53

Kicking around, waiting to see if I'm going to ovulate..... Looked on clear blue website to see if I could order some more pee sticks for my monitor and spotted they are doing a clinical survey and looking for ttc'ers to use their product for a month and feedback data to them while using it. Just thought I'd let you all know in case any of you fancied peeing on a stick but cost was prohibitive. Guessing from your posts glittery you ain't going to be interested. Wink

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:53

Pa ha, Glittery! Grin Just before DH and I had sex last week I cringed knowing I had two black wiry hairs around my left nipple that I had not had time to pluck out that day. I was cringeing like mad when he lowered his face to my bristols until I remembered he is chronically long-sighted and can't see bugger all close up Grin

PurdeyBirdie · 05/02/2015 19:57

Allthefours, thanks for dropping in! Will you stay awhile Might you consider DHEA? You are young at almost forty-one in terms of total egg depletion. Have you had your FSH and LH tested? Are you charting your temps? Do you know you ovulate? Three tots in five years is incredible. What a woman!

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/02/2015 19:58

Oh do other women get a few of those black hairs near their nipples too? Thought it was just me being a freak! Or having too many weirdo hormones or a symptom of pcos or something

Hairstylisttoboris · 05/02/2015 19:59

So dr purdey at what age do eggs start to depletiate or loose quality?

mustbemad71 · 05/02/2015 20:05

Purdey think Spinning is an old bird too. My bloody cervix is hanging halfway down the fanjo - no problem with finding the bugger! That description of it being like a bellend has just made me spit my wine all over. Don't get me started on nipple hairs! Confused
