Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Option decorations include photographs of political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedinging!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

The current Grads Fred is here

The rather nobbish article in which we became a little bit notorious is here. We are the dark side of MN. Welcome.

Happy Christmas shagging, shaggers!

Sorry for the long post! Didn't realise it was that long when typing it up!

Leela5 · 07/12/2014 20:53

Tis a talent and obsession lil ;)

lildottie · 07/12/2014 21:09

ain I'm doing low gi/high protein for the ivf so can chat to you about how I've changed my diet if you like. I can send you some recipes if you like. I've found it easier to ditch the carbs than I expected. what is a typical days food for you? I think it's better to focus on lifestyle changes in getting your diet right first then let the weight gain come after. doing both is too much to make a lasting change. you are not alone and you will get you're baby one way or another. some of us just have to go the long way around Thanks

Purplecircle · 07/12/2014 21:17

I'm doing low GI for blood sugar and also in metformin for diabetes. I've been warned that met can resolve PCOS related fertility issues and that I'll probably get preg much quicker next time.

Please don't treat this as the end of the world for TTC. It really isn't. I've had it 10 years and I got pregnant and hopefully have again. I'm also 40 Hmm

Best advice is to follow the medical advice. Do as you're told and give yourself the best shot

jellypi3 · 07/12/2014 21:27

ain big big hugs to you. It sounds really devastating but as the others have said there are many success stories with PCOS.

Just rant on here anytime you need x

Jelly did you accept the substitution?

honeysucklejasmine · 07/12/2014 21:58

3 days minion?! Good luck to you!

Leela5 · 07/12/2014 22:00

Aina I've no experience of pcos but I know the other viroids here have and have already offered advice. I know it's absolutely possible to conceive with pcos, so it's not the end for you please don't worry.

Low GI - there's a great book I used to have on GI diet that helped me as I have done GI diet for years. I was stuck at one weight (a stone overweight) for years until I read about GI and changed my eating habits. I lost 1.5 stone. Once you get in mindset it's not hard, it's the change of habit that is difficult.

We are here shaking our ttc pom-poms for you x

Leela5 · 07/12/2014 22:01

honey I always think the tesco man must laugh - he's brought me everything from opks to a million frers. I swear he must think I'm nuts

Purplecircle · 07/12/2014 22:02

I'm so excited to find all you guys! I've signed onto the Dec bus as well, but as I didn't even know what an opk looked like until reading those posts, I think my philosophy is more in line with the shaggers/viroids

Muddytoes1 · 07/12/2014 22:10

Muddy, 29, hoping for first ever ttc shag tomorrow - that is if dh manages to stop coughing up green chest snot from his icky cold. Might not be a very romantic start Confused

Welcome Townie!

muddy that sounds delightful!

Haha La I'm sure they don't read the whole list. I hope!

jellypi3 · 07/12/2014 22:55

Welcome townie :D

Yes honey I accepted it (he kept saying "are you ok with it" and I was too embarrassed to say no - especially as he thoght the digi was an upgrade lol).

fleur I never assumed it would happen lol!

One month we bought lube from tesco and that was embarrassing enough but this has really made me cringe lol.

I'm sure I found some EWCM earlier today, if it doesn't absorb into toilet paper then it's CM instead of left over jizz right?

lildottie · 07/12/2014 22:58

welcome to the mad house townie. we do occasionally get a bit carried away with contraband but feel free to hooya us if we do. i say us, I mean them. although, is ivf ultimate contraband? it's s scientific whatnot!

lildottie · 07/12/2014 23:01

that's right jelly cm sits on top, jizz absorbs.

so come on, fess up, which viroid bought up all the stocks of frers in jelly's local Tesco?

jelly I'd save the digi for when you get a bfp so you can use it to spell it out to dh! especially as they aren't as sensitive.

Ainat266 · 07/12/2014 23:20

You viroids are great. I do really appreciate all of your comments. Flowers

Lil and Purple any help regarding the low GI stuff would be great. I'm determined to do as much as I can possibly do to help myself.

La I've actually just ordered a book off of Amazon to try and help.

Lil a typical days food for me (now that I'm actually analysing it!) probably isn't that great.

I often end up skipping breakfast - I normally don't have the time partially because I spend too much time faffing in the mornings so I could change this but I also tend to just not be hungry in the morning. On the occasions I do have breakfast I'll have a piece of toast or some cereal - normally porridge, wheatabix or branflakes.
Lunch time on a week day is normally a can of soup (heating up soup is quick and canned soup lasts a while so I keep a few cans in my locker at work). If not soup, normally a sandwich, favourites are ham, chicken or cheese, with salad. Very rarely some sort of sauce/dressing in the sandwich, but I'm not really a big fan of them. If I bring a sandwich from home I will also sometimes chuck in a handful of grapes or some cherry tomatoes into my tupperware box.
Dinner - A typical 'proper' dinner would be chicken or salmon with something like pasta (wholewheat) or potatoes (often seasoned new potatoes, but with a little butter) and vegetables - carrots, corn on the cob, broccoli, are favourites. Other favourite meals are things like chicken curry (using jar sauces) or bolognese or lasagne made from scratch. I also really like salads (but hate making them - seems to take me forever to chop up stuff). On some occasions we do have 'lazy' dinners, i.e. frozen stuff from the freezer that you chuck in the oven for 20 minutes - breaded chicken/fish that sort of thing or on very lazy days the odd take away. We do also like to eat out fairly often - once a week or so.
Drinks and Snacks - I try to drink water, but often fail. I drink tea (without sugar or with sweetener), I sometimes drink fizzy rubbish (normally diet drinks, but I have got a taste for that Coke Life stuff at the min...) and also sometimes drink fruit juices - normally apple or cranberry. Snacks wise I go through stages where I just don't snack, and other times I crave sugary stuff - normally chocolate. Oh, I also make fruit smoothies on occasions.
