Ah dildoos I can understand how confusing it must be - but I agree with hula let's stay positive!

My bleeding is all finished now thankfully, been ok over the last few days but had a bit of a wobble today. Went to Milton Keynes for a browse/shopping session as dh is at work all day today - went in john lewis cafe for a drink and something to eat and when I sat down I looked around and it was all men and winner with babies/little kids - I really had to hold it together.

Oh sunny I imagine that was just awful bless you. Wobbles are totally understandable and should be treated with care! Do you manage to make a quick exit and some retail therapy? What about some quality time with your dh tonight? Good movie? Choc? Wine?
Glad the bleeding hasn't gone on for too long! I always get confused when I start testing for ovulation again, are you aware p when you should start? Have you thought anything about your plan for this month? Trying anything new? Take care xx

Dildoos pm sue she said she had a bag left Over and would send them. She might not get them to in time though but might??? Just send her a private message. Ow ring u gp at 755 on Monday and ask for a telephone Appt and get the script. They will have a letter from shehata on their system so Can do it.

I finished my tea and then made for the exit! I did treat myself to a few things!

No plan for this month as will probably have the month off, am hoping I can continue with SO!

i been having acu for 6 months now. i just stopped for a month over xmas etc as way away at parents. but I'm restarting next week!

Sunny - It s is a nightmare sometimes when things like that just derail u unexpectedly.

Afm i m also just starting tww (1 dpo), how may dpo are u Trying ? we ll prob be testing a similar time.

Things seem to have recovered from the dire 2 week cycle i had after first try of pred. I ve chickened out of trying pred this month as think i should just let my body get back to normal. In fact i ve started to worry about whether i ll tolerate it when preg.....but if i finally got preg and didn t take it and then mc i d be beside myself, it s so hard. Those who had high nk cells, what were ur total counts and activity ? (if u don t mind me asking)

my counts were normal but my activity was just into the "high range". ic ant rem exact no maybe 1.2?? but it wasn't borderline, and wasn't very high and i rem thinking "oh i just go into the high category"

freelance who has had 2 pred babies at age over 37 had the highest levels Mr S has ever seen! and she's now got 2 babies!

I've seen so many stories of women taking it only from BFP and it working. and also some who miscarry and didn't take it from ovulation. its all very confusing!! i would try take it from BFP and if u can't tolerate it u can talk to MR S about other options, like switching to hydroxy or more intralipids etc? but fingers crossed u will be fine!

Glad your cycles are panning out better Hula. Its really hard to know what to do. I don't really know what my count was - is it the total NK cell absolute or the total NK percentage? My activation was 0.97 so borderline. I think maybe my big problem is Thyroid antibodies perhaps as these were 6 times over the top limit/range :( but as Trying said Free had very high NKs and has 2 pred babys :)

determined i meant to say. have u looked up the TABLET trial. i don't know if outcome is out yet, but it was looking at giving thyroxine to people with high antibodies EVEN if you thyroid function is normal (which i think is ur situation). have a look into it and maybe discuss with Mr S?

maybe the hydroxy will mop them up though!

think mine was 1.2 then. makes sense is hrs was borderline at 0.97

its the absolute count which MR S said was imp i think. mine was normal i rem! but don't rem figure and don't have it to hand

Yes that's me 'eurothyroid' I am aware of it and Dr S mentioned it too but of course not being finished there is no evidence to know what to do. Do these trials have an end date or so they wait for a certain no of participants?

it depends. usually they finish once they have recruited enough people then close it. but they will obv have to wait till enough of the people have had pregnancies and then success/miscarriage. if u look it up it should say somewhere when the results be published? i think the miscarraige association prob has info on it.

Still no pregnancy symptoms but equally touch wood no red bleeding either so staying hopeful.

My sil text today doesn't know anything as I really don't need that in put!! So instead her 2 month old baby wants to know when his auntie can come to a local park with him and his sister ( basically so I do the running around whilst mummy puts her feet up and watches! ) been there done it I am busy washing my hair for the next week as cannot face it!

My darling sister however guessed there was an issue today an from knowing ran round like I was dying so one extreme to the other bless her heart I ha to point out that I just needed normality xx

Thanks ladies. So my total nk absolute count was 250 (should be less than 200), total percentage 15.8% (should be less than 12) activity was borderline 0.87 (should be less than 0.8, and borderline tnf alpha 31.6 (should be less than 31).

Dr S advised the complex programme. Its difficult to know whats best partic when there s controversy around blood nks. I suppose because i ve actually only had one miscarriage i kinda wonder if maybe next time it might just be ok as i am so nervous of taking anything in pregnancy. But since my main issue is actually getting preg (2yrs ttc DS and coming up 18 mns ttc no 2, 9mns from mc) maybe my immune system is so bad i can t even get preg at all....

I wondered about doing the one off uterine biopsy with prof quenby as that might help confirm things.

And i think some docs that do pred at bfp do intralipids 3mnthly when trying, maybe i ll ask dr s about that.

Dildoos - good to hear things holding steady. Def wouldn t want to be doing the SIL thing but nice ur sister is suppportive even if a bit enthusiatic with it !

I took 3 years to fall for DD7 with no miscarriages and I did ask dr s if the nk cells could've been my issue then and he obviously couldn't say definitely but could say is a possibility.
The pred seems ok for me this cycle but hunk possibly the cyclogest counteracts the side effects?
First cycle awful headache. Second cycle complete loony 3rd cycle I dreaded that's why I started acupuncture recommended by you lovely lot an wonder if that's why no side effects this month?
Hope if you do take the pred that it all settles down for you too. X

hula its really hard. i have the same worries too! i don't think anyone knows. just go with what u feel comfortable with and have belief in it coz we don't need more anxiety on top of it all!! try the pred again next month and see how ur cycles go just to make sure it wasn't a one off?

ur sIL sounds just like mine! unable to cope with her own life choices so relies on everyone else! its SO frustrating. esp while i bend over backwards and would give my left arm to have a kid! INFURIATING! don't go! now is the time to be shellfish and do wits right for u!

Agreed trying! I will never forget the one time she looked after my daughter! She hid under the bed and she was too busy fussing her child to notice and after 2 hours o not being able to get her out she called dp to do the ill count to 3 on loud speaker and my daughter came out year stained because she felt alone selfish selfish selfish! I have never made that mistake again! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks ladies. Trying you re right, worrying isn t going to help at all. Maybe i need to step away from Google....! I had felt ok with it all and then made the mistake of talking to my mum about it. She s great but just freaked when i said about taking steriods and then found things like the hfea 2010 statement on repro immune tx and it all has just rattled me. Got to stop ovethinking it all !

Hula step dad a biologist and tried putting me off nk cells testing! It's the fear of the unknown but the fear of what ifs are much scarier.
Def no google- dr google is bad.
What you do in the end is your decision don't be influenced by those with lack of knowledge or those with too much knowledge lol ! Erm yes sorry that's not really helpful at all. Gut instinct I say xx

The hfea and most consultants don't b into nk cells.its new experimental reserch with minimal evidence. But there's a lot of anecdotal evidence on here to suggest it helps. But I don't think we will ever know until yrs to come. I mean for god sake they only just did a full on trial looking at progesterone use. So nk cells r light years away! (there have been some small studies nk cells but nothing big enough to be sure). Gut instinct and trust onmr s is what u got to go on. He obv does it because he has built his own exp that works.ow he wouldn't do it? That's what I think anyways!
