sorry to hear you are still suffering headaches determined - i'm lucky that i have had very few symptoms from the pred. The only thing I really notice is my appetite returning to normal!

Sounds like you had a really successful meeting, hopefully mine is as good next week. I'm wondering if he will prescribe me hydroxy too -as Louise said on the phone earlier this week that my nk cells may need more to stop them being so aggressive. I really don't want to have more blood tests!!

Did he say when you could start trying again?

OP posts:
Determined123 · 30/01/2015 10:45

Am hoping they end today...am ok ish right now but the late avos/eves they get worse. Also do you/anyone get skin issues on pred? I have bad skin due to Pcos but since the pred I now get the round my jaw. :(

I think it will be Sunny. I always remind myself he wants results so will work to find the right treatment for you. He also stressed that he doesn't just give us everything/all meds as he has to find the right balance (too much could over suppress and have a neg effect or cause a MC so needs to be careful).

Very soon actually - After my next period which I think may be to soon (for me) as I want to feel fit and healthy again. But if I do have hydroxy need a least 6 weeks to build up in my system!

sunnyday01 · 30/01/2015 10:50

is hydroxy a tablet or a injection?

OP posts:
Determined123 · 30/01/2015 10:52

tablet and not expensive apparently

sunnyday01 · 30/01/2015 10:57

ok thats good then!! i'm quite looking forward to my meeting now! when i first saw him i wasn't sure if i was going to like him, but at my SO scan appts he always seems much more relaxed and friendly!

OP posts:
dildoos · 30/01/2015 12:06

Determind thank you

The meeting sounded good with dr s another month another plan that's how we have to approach these months. Yes I gets spots in jaw line sort I ones that look like wasp stings and sore. I assumed was the pred but I don't worry I love bare minerals for the Amazing cover it gives Smile

So the meteor in upping a dose and the bloods also sounds positive. When you having the bloods? Have you booked a review with him?

Trying no not under RMC at hospital as my gp wouldn't refer as 'just bad luck' I had a gynaecologist appointment and other than that thy said nothing more on NHs as I have my little girl ( I found quite harsh given she biologically isn't DP although you would never know for their amazing bond.)

So we just pay dr s and this am calle gp where u had to fill him in on all my treatment as they have no idea as wouldn't take me seriously when I went, however now I am booked at epau at 11:10 tomorrow so will have bloods then. I used to feel quite cross about how we were treated but then I thought Hang on life's too short I will crack on ! On our own Grin
Xx

Tryingno1 · 30/01/2015 14:59

Ive got bad signal. But I'm appalled at ur gp!!!! That's beyond terrible.
Angry
Sorry had to get that off my chest!

Waves to all.

sunnyday01 · 30/01/2015 15:08

agree with trying - awful treatment by GP

OP posts:
dildoos · 30/01/2015 15:29

I agree with both of you but the fight and the lack of interest became too much of a stress on top of it all! The best was when I spoke to the receptionist explained everything and she said"oh, well your actual gp is on maternity leave!" Tactful or what?
Bleeding still brown and minimal however tesco test is now lighter than original so I can gather myself what's happened xx

Determined123 · 30/01/2015 15:48

Oh Dildoos I am so sorry about all of this and totally understand about not getting hung up on the lack of NHS support. I agree the fight sometimes adds to much stress and upset to it all. That's why I didn't even go to my GP/Epau last time. They just upset me and its upsetting me at how bad they have been to you! :( it really is appalling! The reception disgusts me too, never ceases to amaze me how tactless people can be.

Do you feel any symptoms? have you tried another brand of test apart from tescos? xx

dildoos · 30/01/2015 15:59

Bless you determind we all feel the same for each other which is nice for each other knowing sincere support is here.
No symptoms if push my boobs they are sensitive marginally but have af style cramps but not painkiller worthy have had since Friday.

Tmi info warning
On wiping it's urine stained with brown scale looking bits
On pad it's brown sludgy stuff approx about 30ml.

No other test performed other than tesco past 2 days as thought would give me a feint getting lighter or darker dependant on levels up or down? Xx

Rosa27 · 30/01/2015 17:33

Dildoos- so sorry to be reading about your ongoing limbo .. But full of admiration that you're going out tonight.. Good on you, it will help no matter what and we will all keep everything crossed. Stranger things have happened, but I know I always prepare for the worse. My accu lady told me off though.. She said 'your baby will think you don't want it'. You get so much mixed advice!!
Determined- glad you're feeling positive after Mr S visit.. More insight will be good! I'm taking hydroxy.. For few months now. I thought my skin was drier and apparently some people sat their hair gets thinner but I've fine hair already and not noticed. It feels just like popping another vitamin - one a day- so nothing to worry about. Apparently helps if high NK etc - mine are v high and active. Also high TNF alpha and thyroid antibodies. Had taken Humira but had an allergic reaction so hydroxy is my plan B.
Hi everyone else xxx

Rosa27 · 30/01/2015 17:35

Ps Hope- so glad things still going so well. Keep the good news coming for us! Don't worry about the scan place.. A new hospital just opened near Dalkeith which can go to which is good as not far. How was Fiona for accu? X

Determined123 · 30/01/2015 18:11

Thanks Rosa that's good to know - I hope i don't get finer hair though(always trying to get body in flat as a pancake hair!!). So you don't feel anything else with it at all - no other side effects? that is good if so.

Glad you found a new place for a scan - very handy!

Dildoos I hope you are ok and have a fab evening if you can Smile. x

Tryingno1 · 30/01/2015 19:09

Hey girls

Dildoos I'm so sorry to hear its still going on. U sound to be coping amazingly well. How r u doing and ur DP? Well done for going out. Hope it manages to distract u a bit. Lots of hugs for u.

Rosa-have u enjoyed the acu. That's great u might have found a scan place I hope it works out!

Determined ur appt sounds really productive and helpful. I'm really pleased u have some plans to move fwd. hopefully this will be ur recipie. How high were ur NK levels and activity before? I totally agree with the lifestyle thing. And I think acu goes in it. I think both help our overall wellbeing and make us feel empowered we doing postive things. But actually it prob makes so diff at all! Most studies I've read show acu doesn't help at all-but I feel better for going so I go! But I have taken a 2 Month break to give the bank a break!

Sunny-how r u? Had ur bleeding stopped? I hope ur feeling ok and determined appt has made u feel postive about urs.

Hula- is ur period behaving?

Hope I can't rem if I already said yay to the scan! Please keep us updated. Have u told ur little not yet?

I've had a lovely break away. V relaxed. I'm still here but couldn't keep away too long and got some signal!

I thought today-one day in yrs to come there will be a group of women who will writing on these threads saying "if u look back all those woman had babies now" like we do now. Isn't that a thought! It doesn't feel like it right now, and in sorry we have had some losses recently. But if we decide to keep going I'm hopefull we will all be those ladies posting out sucess stories and being read about in the future.

Keep being strong and postive x

dildoos · 31/01/2015 07:12

Morning ladies,

Rosa what good advice from your acupuncturist I do believe a lot is said from positive thinking and I am going to try do just that.
Trying glad your having a good time away.woohoo for smallest of signals I say.
Well today is d day. Going alone as DP on first aid course today and next Saturday he has already completed one so needs these two under belt to pass, also I think I am better coping when alone some times.
Sister act was very very good! Food before hand was yummy and I got away with no wine as the wine list was poor and they all know I can only palate a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc which they didn't have,!!!
Anyway this am not going too well, woke up dropped my last tesco test down the toilet so got the end went with water and although then tried seeing on it was negative but to be fair I would expect that , then wiped after and there is lots probably the most I have had this week of brown bleeding.
Popped in another cyclogest for good measure and now laying here thinking please let this not be the way the day is going to pan out!

Anyway thinking positive the bleeding is still brown xx

dildoos · 31/01/2015 12:48

Ok so they can see fluid outside womb, they couldn't see anything in womb and the can see a depleated corpus luteum so have taken bloods and watch this space. I said does it look like a miscarriage they said not necessarily. Will here back from bloods later today xx

Hula2 · 31/01/2015 13:01

Hi Dildoos, welldone for getting the scan and bloods esp on your own it must have been nervewracking. If brown bleeding and nothing in the womb yet then maybe this is all still a really early preg and this is implantation bleeding. Sending all my positive thoughts for good blood results. Sounds like you re been amazying strong. Keep us posted. Hugs

dildoos · 31/01/2015 14:02

Thanks hula hcg at 222 so I don't know what to make progesterone level very good but said as on cyclogest this is expected xx

Determined123 · 31/01/2015 14:11

Hi Dildoos, pleased you got some answers/info at least today! I would think that's good?! Don't most preg tests pick up hcg at 12/25 for cb? Are you 11dpo today? And it doubles every 48 hours or so? Am pants at maths but would think that sounds good? Did the epu give u much reassurance? Advice?

Xx

Tryingno1 · 31/01/2015 14:56

Hi dildoos. So glad u got to go to epau. Are u feeling better or more confused?! I don't think thy can see much at 11dpo. My first miscarriage my hcg was like 50. I think 222 would be quite good at this point. Plus if they can still see the corpus luteum u prob did just ovulate recently.
Keep being positive. Visualise it all going well, lots of hugs

Hopender · 31/01/2015 14:56

That is a really good hcg level at this stage. I would expect it to be lower if you had miscarried. The main thing will be finding out whether it doubles or not. When are you going back for the next blood test? Sending lots of positive thoughts your way, xxx

dildoos · 31/01/2015 15:01

Bless you all. I am just confused xx

Hula2 · 31/01/2015 15:39

Ah dildoos i can inderstand that but i d say that the scan is as expected for 11 dpo, hcg level seems on right on track and bleeding is brown so you re definitely in with a chance. Stay positive and we will WILL those numbers to double by monday !

dildoos · 31/01/2015 15:57

Hula thankyou. All of you thank you!
I am running low on cyclogest will see me right until Monday dr a was away Friday so no chance of prescription postage. Any suggestions?
We are due snow tonight so am excited for that Grin
