They tracked my oestrogen levels during stimming and said that if it was over 7000, they wouldn't do a fresh transfer, so I knew 2 days before collection that it wouldn't be happening. My clinic says on their website that they've never had a patient with a case of severe ohss, under their credentials, so take a very cautious approach, probably far more so than other clinics.

I had a leaflet with symptoms on them but didn't actually have any of them!

Pixie001 · 26/11/2014 15:33

Thanks spare. Mine weren't at 7000 and they stopped me stimming a day early so that's helped ease my mind.

HampshireBlues · 26/11/2014 15:35

Woohoo Spare that is fantastic news. Go clusterdiff!

Pixie I'm really pleased that the Barry White paid off, will keep things crossed for good embies with some for freezing!

happylass · 26/11/2014 15:52

Congrats again spare. Hope you're having a lovely day celebrating!
Great news Pixie. Our frosty was a day 5 blast when it went in the freezer. No idea why - guess its just the way my clinic does things?

OP posts:
Gillster · 26/11/2014 15:58

I think the freezing protocols depend on how many embies and personal circumstances. In my experience of this thread, if the FC know that you can't continue with a fresh cycle then the embies get frozen straight away as I think they're most stable then. If you have a good number and can do a fresh cycle, most FCs tend to wait until day 5 if possible as they have a better idea of quality. If a few of you embies drop off tonight Pixie then they may go for day 3 instead. Go embies go!

Jelliebabe2 · 26/11/2014 17:32

Woooohooooo! Spare that's Brill!

Pixie - cmon little embies!

PutsPuts flaming pompoms into high gear! Cmon Trill

Pipbin · 26/11/2014 18:11

So Trill, are you testing tomorrow. Are the diffs going to go to four!

Trillium73 · 26/11/2014 18:41

I hope so pip ! I'm so nervous!

Great news pixie woohoo!

beakybeak · 26/11/2014 20:51

Haha 3 minimum like serial killers Grin love that.

pixie fantastic news and your dh must be so over the moon after what you've both been through. Pom-poms at the ready for the rest of your treatment! Re freezing, I think they freeze what is good enough after et. How many are having put back?

Spare have you and your dh had a lovely celebratory day? Hope it's sinking in for you Smile

Lumen how are you doing?

HB how are you getting on?

Happy will your next try be an fet or a fresh cycle?

Trill pom-poms and batons twirling for you for tomorrow, good luck!

I had my consultant appointment today, it was good! I have my dr drugs now and will start long protocol IVF on January 5th! I asked tons of questions and they were great and even offered to get the embryologist to talk to us. So overall I'm quite happy with the treatment plan We also get all FET's on the NHS and they said that they don't let you do a fresh cycle until you've used all of your frosties. I now need to pull out of a hen do though as it will be the weekend of otd Confused but I don't want to risk it either way as it's very expensive and involves flying, a spa and physical activities.

Pipbin · 26/11/2014 21:16

So when are you testing then Trill? Will it be in the morning before work?

Pixie Good number. Take care with the OHSS, it made me feel so ill.

HampshireBlues · 26/11/2014 21:29

That all sounds positive Beaky and good to have your dates sorted. Don't blame you in backing out of the hen do though. I remember the embryologist being really helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring.

I'm on a slow boil atm. Still no AF so rang the clinic today and spoke to one of the nurses. She confirmed that unless the witch is here by Friday we will abandon....bu@@er. So I may be joining you for a start of the year clusterdiff. I am in an evil mood though (not helped by 3 pregnancy announcements at work, one of whom has avoided telling me) so who knows!

Night all, good luck for tomorrow Trill

tigerdog · 26/11/2014 21:57

trill I am hoping with every last bit of hope that you get a bfp tomorrow. I think I have had all my appendages crossed for all of you lovely ladies for days!!

beaky glad your appointment went well. The starting line is in sight!

pixie what an amazing fertilisation rate. How wonderful that the sperms are getting on so well with your eggs!! Love at first sight, bless 'em!

spare hope all is feeling well with you. So pleased for you!

hb does that definitely mean you are out before Christmas? What next if you don't carry on for this cycle? Best laid plans and all that, we can't win can we?!

happy will you be going for FET next cycle or doing another fresh one?

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Things are starting to settle down at work after the incident earlier in the week, although the disruption is likely to continue until we can move back in to our office. This week is flying by.

Told a director (via email) that I was leaving today, and he asked if I was leaving or leaving to come back in 12 months i.e off on maternity leave. I wish. Don't you think I would say if I was pg?!?! He is the third person that has thought I'd be leaving to have a baby. A more sensitive person might wonder whether everyone is thinks I look fat!! Actually, he has probably seen me at the FC as he works there too, and put two and two together to make five. Either way I felt sad and a bit embarrassed at having to set him straight.

happylass · 26/11/2014 21:59

Great news that thinks are moving for you Beaky and that you've got a plan in place. I should be starting just after you if the Xmas holidays don't mess things up. We are doing another fresh cycle as we've already paid for it as part of a package. If we'd gone for a FET and it had worked we'd have forfeited the 2nd cycle. Whereas (fx) if the 2nd fresh cycle works we'll still have at least one in the freezer for any future siblings.
HB sorry to hear AF still isn't playing ball. Bloody typical!! Hope she makes a late entrance for you.
Keeping everything crossed for you Trill. Long live the clusterdiff!!

Smidge001 · 26/11/2014 22:09

Good luck Trill!

Well done the pixies. Pom poms are a shaking, unicycle a wobbling!

HB FX AF turns up for you in time. But if you have to delay you will be in great company - I think there are a few of us starting early in the new year. Another clusterdiff I hope (me included please!)

My short term workload is continuing - 13.5 hrs yesterday!! I went to bed at 1:40am Confused (though did have a break for an hour at 11 for some bedroom action... Wink I'm not counting days but reckon it might actually be shag week around now). It's good to feel useful again after not working for so long. House looks a tip though but the money will definitely help towards the next round of treatment.

Talking of which (work I mean), I must get back to it.

sparechange · 26/11/2014 22:17

C'mon trill
Pom-pomming and finger crossing and wishing so hard for you

I think I'm going to be refreshing the thread like mad tomorrow to see your update. Hope you get some sleep tonight...

Trillium73 · 26/11/2014 22:50

I'll be testing when I get home from work so no need to keep refreshing during the day spare! I'm feeling quite emotional reading all your good luck messages, thanks so much, it means loads to me Smile. I've told the RL folk that know that I am testing at the weekend so I've got space to get used to the outcome whatever it is.

Thanks again berries, speak tomorrow Shock

Night night

WildflowerMarmalade · 26/11/2014 23:13

HB there are two days for AF still to turn up. I'm confident she will put in a gracious appearance for you, after making you sweat for a bit naturally. (That's metaphorical sweat not physical sweat, just to clarify.)

Beaky and Happy I am hoping to start my cycle in mid January, hopefully we will be keeping each other company.

Trill I will be thinking of you tomorrow and will only start obsessively refreshing the thread in the evening, as you suggest.

Pixie when your DH had the sperm siphoned out did it leave him in a lot of pain and bruised? And is it done under GA or just local? He's been pretty brave either way. FX for you both.

lumen · 27/11/2014 07:38

All the best of berry luck for you today trill

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 07:45

Good luck today Trill

beakybeak · 27/11/2014 08:36

Good luck for later today Trill

HB I'm also twirling the come on AF batons for you. When did you start dr? Day 21? Will they not just dildocam you anyway to check? I hope you're ok after all of those preggo announcements, sounds like a rubbish day. Flowers

Tiger boo to the email with the director, people eh. Hope the work sitch is resolved soon for you, sounds bizarre!

We def should update the list after Trill has tested and add on a January IVF list Smile Who is left this cycle? HB, Gil what about Kuma?

sparechange · 27/11/2014 09:57

Good luck trill
Pom-pomming for you!

tigerdog · 27/11/2014 11:59

cheerleading away here for you trill. Best of luck.

Pipbin · 27/11/2014 13:18

I'm not the only one who is anxious to hear from Trill am I?

Smidge001 · 27/11/2014 13:26

While waiting for news from Trill I have just re-read Tiger's post and am baffled by what seems to be a cryptic comment about an incident at work... Have I missed something?

After another 7:15am to midnight day, I've been asked to work this weekend too. Funny how OH is suddenly disliking me being back at work after previously dropping hints that I should go back so we can afford a house etc.. Now he's not getting his lunch made for him or ferried about, just cereal for dinner the other night as I wasn't cooking, and no one to spend the evening with!

IamKuma · 27/11/2014 13:28

pixie Great news, let's hope we can add you onto the end of this clusterdiff Smile

trill good luck, I'm not sure that I could get through the day, have everything crossed for you and your addition to the cluster!

For the next list, I may get to do natural cycle at next AF - if bloods are ok and they can fit me in before Xmas holidays. AF due 4th Dec.
