We only had one round on the nhs pip. The only test I have had done are day 3 and day 21 bloods, a scan and my amh. Don't know if there is anything else they can offer me but it would like to check before we find another cycle ourselves. We went into this saying we would give it 3 goes and I want to ensure we have done everything we can before starting our third and final attempt.

tigerdog · 23/11/2014 11:23

lumen that sounds a like great plan. A good cry is necessary, have a big tiger hug from me. I will be joining you in enjoying the next few months Wine but also getting myself ready for our next step of ivf in March. I remember you saying before that you hadn't had many investigations. A hsg is fairly standard so makes sense to have one and I also had a lap due to heavy periods and suspected endo although they didn't find any so that was an unessecary thing to have gone through! Did you have thyroid etc checked? I also did a home Vit d test just in case but my levels were well above the good level so I was able to put that paranoia to rest! The upshot of all of these investigations is that we are still unexplained though. I have paid for my AMH test this week, as recommended by our nhs FC as it will help them decide my ivf regime. Others who have gone private might have suggestions.

Nice work on finishing the quilts. I'm still working on the blind. Sewing in a straight line is not my forte!

Poor you jellie it sounds as though coughing has irritated your poor insides. Hope you feel better.

Lovely yoga class this morning although there was someone letting out random moaning noises! Very odd! Did make me chuckle though!

tigerdog · 23/11/2014 11:28

Oh and pip totally get the need for poas to continue. When is your first scan? It must be strange at this point when there is nothing tangible except those two lines.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Pipbin · 23/11/2014 13:13

Lumen. I'm surprised you got to IVF without an HSG or lap and dye. I've have both and it showed that my tube are blocked.
The disparity in NHS funding is so wrong. I had three full cycles on the NHS and I needed three. I'm convinced that it is the gestone injections this time that got this one to work.
Are you going to go back to the GP or consultant?

Tiger. I've ordered some eBay tests.......
First scan is December the 9th, which might as well be in 100 years!

lumen · 23/11/2014 16:21

pip we only get one funded if under 35 so the consultant rushed us straight through, that's why I want to go back to see her. Will ring this week as see what they say.

Don't get me started on the IVF postcode lottery Hmm

HampshireBlues · 23/11/2014 17:45

Evening all! Just starting to catch up after a couple of weeks away.....been a horribly hectic couple of weeks at work, a little sad in places and a really busy weekend last week (extra 5 adults, two children under five and a dog from the Friday to Monday) and then come down with a vicious cold since Wednesday. The last time i had a cold like this I was on my two week wait! Anyhow am currently 10 days into down regging and no sign of AF! Gre why can't she behave and appear!?! If she hasn't been and gone by Friday then we have to abandon!

Lumen I'm so sorry that you didn't have your BFP this time round, big hugs your way and plenty of Wine your way for Christmas.

Pixie good luck for tomorrow, I have everything crossed for you.

Waves madly at everyone else.....will catch up I promise!

Gillster · 23/11/2014 19:45

Hi HB, when was AF due? I've found that DR can delay AF by 2 or 3 days if that helps.

Back home from Brecon part 1. Will return tomorrow after scan. Holiday going well so far.

HampshireBlues · 23/11/2014 21:06

Not due for a couple of days Gillster as been running long cycles recently. I'm just stressing because I know that if I haven't down regged enough that it'll be game over for this time.

I hope your scan goes well, enjoy the Brecons!

happylass · 23/11/2014 21:27

Evening all. Just back from our mammoth trek to the North East. Off for a much needed early night but just popping in to say good luck Gil for your scan tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you.
Welcome back HB - great to see you. Absolutely typical that AF doesn't show her face when you actually need her. Hope she turns up soon.
Hope everyone else is ok - will catch up properly tomorrow.

IamKuma · 24/11/2014 06:11

Good luck today Pixie, I hope you slept OK.

Gill, I doing my 'polyps away' dance for you this morning. I hope all is clear on the scan.

I had a weekend full of pregnant friends, a pregnancy announcement and a birth. It really does try your mental capacity...

happylass · 24/11/2014 06:59

Sorry Pixie I didn't mean to leave you out of my last post. My excuse is that I was so tired last night I could hardly see! All the very best of luck for today. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Also due this week is OH's 3rd SA. fx

Smidge001 · 24/11/2014 09:13

Hi there, I'm back after our camping trip and will need to do a proper review of all the posts over the last few days but just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear lumen's bfn news. I will join in raising a few glasses of Wine over Christmas.

Gillster · 24/11/2014 09:38

Thanks for the kind words ladies. Scan was fine (she had a good rummage with the old dildocam). She couldn't see anything but she did say it was difficult to pick polyps up when the endometrial lining was so thin so fingers crossed they stay away.

Sounds like a nightmare weekend Kuma, hugs.

Sorry you're going through such tough times Nolly, I hope things sort themselves out for you very soon.

Right, off to the Brecons part 2 now. I'll likely be incommunicado until Friday as no 3G or WiFi (DH nearly had kittens over lack of WiFi) so hope all progresses well with you Pixie and that we get some more BFPs from Spare and Trill. Smile

WildflowerMarmalade · 24/11/2014 09:50

Good news-ish Gill , let's hope those pesky polyps do stay away.

It's good if your work situ gets sorted nolly and hopefully any tribunal will not be too stressful.

Hello spare glad you survived camping, with the help of innumerable duvets, and are back safe and sound.

AF turned up for me, so that's good I suppose. I was starting to imagine that I could be stuck in limbo for weeks. I think it's time to go back to my acu lady and get things back in balance.

sparechange · 24/11/2014 10:32

gill Great news on the polyps and long may they stay away!

smidge Well survived!

pixie Good luck today. Pom pomming for a good haul

lumen · 24/11/2014 10:41

Good news gill, enjoy the rest of your hols.

Glad AF has turned up wild, when is your next FC appointment?

Thinking of you today pixie.

Hope you are coping ok trill and spare, as per pips message they need at least 3 for a clusterdiff so fx for you both to join it!

beakybeak · 24/11/2014 11:35

Great news Gil fx they stay away when you start the oestrogen. Enjoy brecons pt 2!

lumen your plan sounds spot on. I'd also say ask for an HSG or a lap and dye as they could show up other things scans cannot. Hopefully 2015 is our year.

pixie best of luck for EC today.

Wild me too on AF front, horrendous cramps today too and also 5 days early making this cycle very short

Smidge well done on surviving the camping. Hope you are ok as well.

Spare and Trill how are you both?

Pip and Bushy how are you guys?

Tiger loved your handiwork on t'other place, impressive Smile

Nolly hope you get sorted with the wanker boss, def get a grievance in. Hope MrN's sa goes well this week. How long will you wait for results?

lumen · 24/11/2014 12:22

Grr, rang to make appointment to see fertility doc, as they referred us to FC we cannot go back to see them without another referral from my doctor. So had to ring and leave a message for her. That's two more people I have had to explain it all to and I still don't have my appointment. Hmm

sparechange · 24/11/2014 13:25

Eurgh, bureaucracy! That would really annoy me.

I'm feeling ok. Still weeing in the night, but not feeling sufficiently 'different' to be expecting any good news this week. But I am the sort of person who sets myself up for disappointment so it doesn't sting as much if it turns out to be that result!
