Hey Rain, great to see you back Smile

Sorry that the last couple of days have been so tough on you. I hope that Tuesday brings some new hope and positivity for you.

Glad you had a nice weekend Bushy up north (in my neck of the woods). I assume by the "dry" referral you were meaning your alcohol consumption and not the weather!

Happy - glad the garage tidying went well even though some big hairy monsters were uncovered. Also can't believe those babies were at the rugby yesterday - ridiculous! Reminds me of a few years ago when I was watching a bond film at the pictures and there was a lady in there with her baby. She left eventually (after the baby started crying) but looked ready to settle in - unbelievable!

Have everything crossed for you Pip tomorrow. This simply has to be your time and I'm not accepting anything less so there!

Beaky I'm really not sure if my FC is open over Xmas. I'm guessing as it's private it will be at some point. We'd probably need to get the scratch done on the 27th/28th as we leave for New Year in Ireland on the 29th. I have a horrible feeling that's going to throw a spanner in the works. Really don't want to have to wait any longer Sad.
Just popped on my FC's website to try to find out about the above and they are setting up a support group for patients in January. Says it just going to be an informal monthly meet up for those TTC - it'll be like the RL Berries!
Bushy be careful with that hot milk - it's lethal! Scalded my hand quite badly with some today. Though it was probably my own fault for overheating it. Ouch though!!

Tiger so weird that you just mentioned Jessica Hepburn. She is speaking at the first meeting of the support group that I was talking about in my last post. Can't say I've really heard of her, would you recommend the book?

tigerdog · 16/11/2014 22:45

Oh and thanks for your lovely post earlier beaky. It really means a lot. Flowers

pip I tell my oh about the berries, or my ladies as I call you all. So I'll be telling him thing like: 'one of my ladies found out she was pregnant today' or about everyone's IVF successes or FC experiences. We only know one person in RL who has had any fertlity problems and oh would never talk about it to his friends about it, so he has no support network.

Anyway, must stop rambling on. Night all x

tigerdog · 16/11/2014 22:48

Oh x post happy. Yes I would recommend. She was on the r4 programme that pip linked to earlier.

Trillium73 · 16/11/2014 23:00

tiger I do the same with my DP! Especially if one of you lovely ladies makes me laugh out loud Grin

Nite nite all!

Smidge001 · 17/11/2014 01:23

Oh gosh so many posts over the weekend. Am on the ipadicus so can't manage heaps of windows open to have a very conversational post. BUT clearly trying to get in there to wish Pip a last bit of luck before she tests! I am very excited about this as I'm certain it will be a positive - no spotting so far and no daily updates on period symptoms (unlike myself!) just has to mean one thing. Oh dear, clearly I am still no good at stopping myself from reading into symptoms/no symptoms and just accepting the 'wait and see', 'what will be will be' approach. Blush

Tiger I'm inspired by your new job and move, and reckon you are living a great non-TTC life which has to be a real positive influence mentally. Clearly wobbles are not going to disappear but I truly think having change in other aspects of our life is a good thing. I am in a bit of a rut at the moment and I can see I need to start doing something active to change this before TTC takes over my life and I lose track of everything else that is good. Avocado for breakfast is just one Wink. Another positive here in sydney is that pears (of the normal, non-avocado variety) can almost always be eaten at the perfect stage of ripeness. In England I always found they were hard as a rock, or in one day had turned to mush. I have been eating so many pears over the past few months it has probably changed the balance of my diet completely.

Seems I won't be able to talk to AliG until Wednesday afternoon as Annoying Secretary tells me she is already 1hour behind in surgery and has heaps of new patients to see today. Annoying Secretary also started to try to commiserate about by news but I cut her off before she could say anything more upsetting (than knowing my results and talking to me about them when she's not a doctor, Grrr.) so am proud of myself. Self preservation.

My OH takes the mickey out of me always being on mumsnet! I think he understands the support I feel from the berries though and I do relay the odd bit of info back to him, especially the funny bits Smile.

One more time good luck to Pip. And Lumen how are you feeling? I hope the cramps have gone (if that's what is needed!)

Hope things clear up for you tomorrow Trill
