Busy day in Berry HQ! Can hardly keep up! Congrats spare and trill on being PUPO! We didn't get a photo either but they did show it to us on a screen via video link as the embryologist was preparing it. Have to say I was a bit teary at that point - must've been all the hormones!

I just had to get that out of my system.

Right, I'm off to the sauna. Nobody get pregnant until I'm back.

beakybeak · 14/11/2014 17:06

beaky and wild will you stop talking about wine please! Trust me to pick a Friday night to not be allowed any!

lumen · 14/11/2014 17:22

Will find out for you tomorrow wild. I only know her bloods were sent to the US for testing as not done by any labs over here.

I want a glass of champers too spare to toast bushys FUFC, but I will have to put up with more water!

IamKuma · 14/11/2014 17:52

Awesome list Gil!

FC called back and was really helpful. If it is AF I'm to go in first thing Monday morning for a scan, if it stops, carry on as normal till start of next cycle.

Happy Friday - let this be the start of the next cluster!

RevoltingPeasant · 14/11/2014 17:59

tigerdog · 14/11/2014 19:25

Thanks wild, you really did make me laugh out loud when I read your latest posts!

Cheers ladies! It's very lively in here. Congratulations on joining the PUPO club trill and spare, hope your 2ww doesn't drag.

Hello all you grads, hope everything is going well.

Love the racing analogy gill although I'm firmly a spectator in the race to the Christmas clusterdiff. Will be cheering everyone on to the finish line though.

Happy Friday y'all!

Trillium73 · 14/11/2014 19:39

I just love all the positive energy on this thread! Like wild said, bring it on!

Had a nap, so pooped I couldn't keep my eyes open. Think it was the emotional stress of it all, you know?

How are you spare ? Are you on any medication? Did you mention clexane?

pip are you still going strong? Any more kitty predictions Grin?

Thanks for the stats gill

Waves to everyone else!

sparechange · 14/11/2014 19:46

trill
I feel like a one woman walking pharmacy! Clexene stabs for the next 5 days, then only baby aspirin
Plus prednisolone plus clyclogest pessaries plus the usual vitamins for the duration of the 2ww.

I'm drinking fizzy water out of a wine glass. I'll level with you all. It isn't cutting it.

Trillium73 · 14/11/2014 20:16

Lol spare ! I'm on plain ole water. I might crack open the ginger ale soon, woohoo! What an exciting life we lead eh?! But it'll be worth it if it helps our precious cargo stick around Grin wow! You're on a lot of drugs! I've got the vitamins as well but I've been on them so long now it's just a part of the daily routine.

Pipbin · 14/11/2014 20:24

spare
Talking about pharmacies, I knew that I was going to run out of needles for my gestone injections so I called the clinic to ask if they could post some to me. They couldn't post them. I couldn't get there really as DH had the car. So I went into Boots and asked if they stocked them. I showed them the gestone with my name on to prove I wasn't on drugs.
They had some! When I asked how much they were they told me it was free as they were covered by the needle exchange.

Jelliebabe2 · 14/11/2014 20:47

Ha! Pip you ARE on drugs you nutter! Lol

beakybeak · 14/11/2014 21:10

Lol Pip at the needle exchange Grin

Erm, since I'm such an alco I can recommend the pink schler (tons of apologies for the appalling spelling!) but it tastes like rose wine Grin
Spare and Trill my wine so far tastes awful

Smidge001 · 14/11/2014 21:27

Bushy that is amazing news!! Congratulations Grin you must be thrilled - don't keep beating yourself up over whether you needed IVF or not, it doesn't matter how you get there! Have a fantastic weekend

Pip that's great news about Boots. I love Boots. I miss Boots. I just trust them and I don't get that same comfortable feeling in the chemists over here. I'm sure they are absolutely fine of course, but I get the impression they're all independent franchises (I may be wrong) and somehow it just doesn't give me the same confidence.

Beaky, no the nurse didn't give any explanation what might cause the embie not to implant - or whether that is common in failures etc. I will ask AliG though, and also ask if the same thing happened first time round. Spare I also have raised NK cells, so AliG put me on Clexane - a blood thinner - which is meant to help with immune issues. Is the prednisolone a steroid? She did mention a steroid version but seemed to think it wasn't really any different in effectiveness vs the Clexane, and had a lot more side effects - and yes, needed to be weaned off it etc. sounded a bit scary so I was glad to go with the Clexane - not sure if she'll change her mind now. Must say if like to start the Clexane a bit earlier next time though, as maybe my immune system engulfed the poor embie as soon as it was transfered - I didn't take my first shot of Clexane until about 10 hours after transfer. lunen I'll be interested to hear how your visit goes - maybe I'll be able to suggest a diff treatment to AliG (ha ha, bet she'll love that!)

Spare I'm so glad you have a defrostie on board. Congratulations! Sorry about the others though.

Kuma weird AF cycle! I seemed to go back to normal straight away after my first round of IVF so was just assuming it would happen again like that this time. Let us know whether it really was AF.

Wild it's a nickname my OH coined after realising that our 'Dr Gee's first name was Alison! Hadn't even occurred to me Grin but yes, it has definitely stuck!

Fingers crossed Pip. I read on another thread someone very recently who was convinced they would get a bfn coz they had a 'heavy feeling' like preAF - but she actually got a BFP! So now I am thinking heavy feeling = good news!!
I really hope so.

Gosh, such a fast moving thread in 24hrs. Sorry if I've missed anything else.

Hubby and I are going out for a fancy breakfast this morning. Not really compensation for the bfn, but there's no point moping around the house wailing it's not fair. I have tried, it doesn't seem to help

WildflowerMarmalade · 14/11/2014 22:24

Those must be Chicago tests, lumen. They are analysed in the States, the clue's in the name there! Look forward to hearing the details.

And Smidge yes, yes to keeping an eye in the immunes too. Maybe your NK cells need a different treatment, as you suggest. Go and tell AliG what's what.

Fancy breakfast sounds yummy. I'm planning a bacon sandwich in the morning, yummy.

'...there's no point moping around the house wailing it's not fair. I have tried, it doesn't seem to help' What!? It doesn't help? Oh no. I was counting on that to help me.

sparechange · 14/11/2014 22:27

pip
Did they make you hand the old needles in?! I felt so self conscious when I had to pick up a sharps bin from the clinic and take it home on the tube and bus Blush

smidge I'm on Clexene because it is supposed to be good for blood flow in the lining, which helps with implantation. But the prednisolone is in case of NK cells. The test for them is really invasive and expensive so my clinic just treats everyone as if they've got some, because there is no side effect (beyond the weird steroid side effects!) from taking them. They seem to throw everything at me!

Pipbin · 15/11/2014 00:48

spare. No, didn't have to hand the old one in!

Talking of injections, I've just got undressed to find that the whole damn thing has leaked out. I'm living in hope that it was in there long enough for the good stuff to get into my bloodstream.

Pipbin · 15/11/2014 00:50

Smidge when my first one failed we took a picnic and sat on the beach for about 6 hours.

Pixie001 · 15/11/2014 08:32

Smidge how you doing? did the fancy breakfast help? How long do you think before you can see AliG?
4 PUPOs! Can you believe it? Such an terrifying exciting time for you berries.

Pixie001 · 15/11/2014 09:18

Just having a sort out and noticed I have 20 one step ovulation tests (ICs) and 11 clear blue sticks for their new monitor (from the good old days when I did a user test before it went on market before we found out about DHs issue). Message me if any of you berries on natural cycles could make use of them and I'll post them. on.
I also found a pg test that has a use by date of dec 14 so I'm taking that as a sign...Wink

sparechange · 15/11/2014 09:45

Added to Pixie's offer, I've got about 15 pimp Internet cheapie opk sticks if anyone wants them?

I had a little dark clot when I wiped this morning. Trying to persuade myself it is implantation bleeding or from where they had prodded around with the catheter yesterday. God this 2ww is going to kill me
