Hi ladies,
I came off Microgynon after our honeymoon on 15th August (halfway through a pack), withdrawl bleed started on 21st so using that as CD1 it would mean I'm now on CD21.
Just wondering if anyone else is around in the same boat to obsess chat with? Grin x

Hi Sally, I had my mirena removed on 29th August and started withdrawal bleed on 31st so that makes me CD11 so not quite the same in the cycle but happy to chat Smile

I'm really hoping my body jumps back into normality quickly! Have you had any signs that yours is behaving and doing what it's supposed to?

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 16:40

Ahh not long behind me then. Had lots of ewcm around when I should have ovulated (according to app!) So really hoping it has all springed back to action! Have you? Also kept thinking I had pregnancy symptoms around that time... funny feeling in tummy, emotional, frequent need to wee... but all disappeared so think it was just wishful thinking and my body getting used to not having the pill after 7 years! X

I've been feeling really emotional since removal but think it's just my hormones trying to rebalance themselves. Coming into my fertile period now (according to the app) so will be on the look out, nothing yet though.

I'm a little worried I'm becoming obsessive already. I'm not very good at waiting for stuff so I think if this takes a while I might have some trouble. Promised myself I'd just see how it goes for the first few months but then ordered opks yesterday Confused

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 19:13

Yeah I'm trying not to obsess but think I probably will be quite upset if/when AF shows up Sad
Hormones are funny old things aren't they?!
Also, seems everyone is pregnant/just had a baby at the mo! And all seem to have gotten preggers straight away Envy x

Emilyjane11 · 10/09/2014 19:45

Hi ladies and hi Jcandy i finished my pill end of August, according to app i am going into my fertile phase on Friday and i am getting slightly obsessed Blush

I keep reading about reading about women getting pregnant in first cycle after coming off pill and its making me so jealous! Haha.

Fingers crossed for us ladies, i am definitely up for a chat!

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 19:56

Me too! So hard not to secretly think I could be one of the lucky ones and get a BFP first go!
Anyone keeping all this inside? I'm acting all casual with DH, even when I had belly ache and was emotional the other day and he said "you might be pregnant" I was like "oh noo, course not" secretly dancing inside lol x

Yeah my dp knows I look at mumsnet but that's the extent of what I tell him! I think if he knew everything I was thinking he would be a little scared.

Is this your first Sallybann and emilyjane?

I've already got pregnancy tests lol, I just see it as being prepared..........

Emilyjane11 · 10/09/2014 20:14

Yes this is my first Jcandy i was keeping mumsnet from my other half but he saw it and just chuckled. He says "just relax and enjoy trying" and my mind is in overdrive. I soooo wanna be one of the lucky ones!!

I'm acting casual too on the outside too SallyBann every twinge im like "oooohhhh" even though I've not even ovulated yet i don't think

Jcandy · 10/09/2014 20:51

It's my first too. Really hope we are all lucky! Trying to be hopeful yet realistic.

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 21:04

My first too! And I've never ever POAS before so dying to do one!!!! So if you don't mind me asking, when was the moment you decided now is the time to ttc? We've just got married and said on lead up to the wedding we would stop 'trying not to' after honeymoon! X

Well my partner and I have just bought our first house and something recently happened that made us realise how short life is, we had always planned to have a baby in the next year but we both agreed now felt like a nice time to start we both got very excited and binned my pill together haha. We all have to stay in touch then if we are in same position!! Xx

Jcandy · 10/09/2014 21:25

We've just bought a house too Smile we had planned to start near the end of the year but we were on holiday and having a lovely time and we just thought why wait! I had my mirena removed a couple of weeks after we got back. Glad I did now since I really don't think I realised how hard it can be!

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 21:29

Aww lovely Smile yep I never realised it was so complicated. Makes you wonder how anyone ever gets pregnant by accident!!! X

Emilyjane11 · 10/09/2014 21:46

I am thinking exactly the same thing, how do people do it?! It's the most natural thing on this planet and the reason why everyone is here yet people find it so difficult!! I think the key is to relax and enjoy and see what happens!

Emilyjane11 · 10/09/2014 21:46

Even though i am internally freaking out 24/7 haha

SallyBann · 10/09/2014 22:10

Haha I am exactly the same, keep thinking "it will happen when the time is right" then "it better be right now or else!!" And spotting symptoms left right and centre! My Ovia app says I should test a week tomorrow! Which I originally thought was too early seeing as I had to kinda guess my cycle but we have a busy weekend with FIL birthday and a night out with DH work so will be drinking involved so maybe I should test just in case? Oh it's so tricky!! X

pinkie1982 · 10/09/2014 23:29

Hi. I finished my pill on saturday. I ran an extra week onto my normal pack due to being on holiday and not wanting my period in the Caribbean!
Now home and withdrawal bleed starting today.
Fingers crossed but may take some time. Been on microgynon for 16 years so don't remember having a cycle before. I'm 31.

tessiegirl · 10/09/2014 23:34

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself! I have been on the pill for the past 13 years (Microgynon then changed to Cilest the last few years due to acne) and am taking my last pill tomorrow morning!! I remember I was always regular before starting the pill so hoping that cycles return easily. Bit of a waiting game ahead...but very exciting! Good luck to all you ladies!

Emilyjane11 · 11/09/2014 05:54

SallyBann i would follow the app, maybe do a first response one if you really wanna know before having a drink but that's probably going to be negative even if you are pregnant. It is a tricky one though cause if you are pg you don't wanna be drinking!

Hi tessiegirl we are all much in the same boat aren't we? Im waiting for things to return as normal and i hope its this month!

Jcandy · 11/09/2014 11:22

Hi tessie and pinkie Smile we can all try and figure out this confusing mountain of things we should know about how to get pregnant but don't together!

Sallybann I say test that day. We have no idea what our cycles will be like but then at least you won't be worrying about drinking. Ovia is suggesting 28th September to me but I plan to try and wait till 1st October if AF hasn't turned up by then. Who knows what our first cycles are gonna be like!

Jcandy · 11/09/2014 11:24

pinkie I was on birth control of some description (3 different types of pill, depo in the middle and then finally mirena) for the last 13 years so I haven't a clue what my cycle was like either!

ceds86 · 11/09/2014 12:32

I came off the mirena in June and 'tried' properly for the first time last month. I think my body mustn't be back to normal yet because I ovulated quite late - on day 17 - I seem to have convinced myself that I am pregnant because I probably want it too much but I just can't help obsess over it! Did a first response yesterday an BFN - AF due in 3 days - what should I do? Write it off for the month or wait and hope!? This is such a roller coaster!!

Jcandy · 11/09/2014 12:43

Hi ceds I think I'm gonna be exactly the same when it comes to testing. I'd wait till AF is due, and if it doesn't arrive on the expected day then test again. I think I'm gonna try and always convince myself I'm not pregnant as otherwise I'm gonna be so so disappointed each month

Raines100 · 11/09/2014 13:48

Hi Ladies, this is our 1st month of ttc after IUD removal. I'm CD11 today so hopefully will ovulate this weekend. Hoping for BFP 25th Sep. Promised myself I wouldn't get anxious but can't help it!
