The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

How was yesterday happy?

happylass · 30/09/2014 07:49

All went well thanks lumen. Had 2 blastos transferred back (grade AA and AB). Another went in the freezer and there were 2 more at early blasto stage that may be frozen today if they are good enough. So it's just a waiting game now! How are things with you?

OP posts:
Gillster · 30/09/2014 09:21

Yay Happy you are now PUPO! In terms of getting to this stage it sounds like it all went to plan and hopefully you'll have a couple of bonus blasts too.
Loved the "smuggling candles" terminology.

Can't believe there are so many of you on the 2WW - Jellie, Wild and Beaky. Hope you are managing to keep yourselves suitably distracted.

Good luck with the shagathon Bushy! It's been ages since I had one of those. The IVF, FET and hysteroscopies have taken a serious toll on my sex life this year Sad

Welcome back Funky, glad things are progressing with the IVF. Hope you can squeeze a cycle in before Mr Funky leaves.

Smidge I wouldn't worry about the limin go the lucrin too much. I started down regging on day 21 even though my cycle is usually around 32 days.

Not a great start yesterday with the fall Lumen. Did anyone see you/help you? It's the embarrassment as much as anything. Good luck for the down regging on Saturday.

AFM, got a bit over excited about AF starting, it was just major spotting probably due to the blasted polyps so I never called the FC in the end. Spent the last few days googling how to bring on a period and as a result been chugging raspberry leaf tea, ginger tea and eating celery!! No joy, so now have switched camps to trying to delay my period as they won't do the hysteroscopy on Monday if AF tips up. As a result have rung GP this morning for some drugs so just waiting for them to call back. Not sure how this will impact on timing though for starting the FET again. Based on last weeks dates and how the last FET went, transfer would have been around 1st Dec. worried now that it will be the new year before treatment by which time 10 polyps will likely have grown!!!

Sorry for lack of posting but work has been manic! Been working until 8pm most evenings for the last few weeks and yesterday did 13 hours. In hindsight if my FET had gone ahead as planned my 2WW would have happened in 2 of the busiest work weeks in my year so wouldn't have been an ideal situation. That's about the only consolation though.

Due to me working late, I've been around when our cleaners have been cleaning the office. On Friday evening one of them announced she was leaving as she was doing IVF. I of course couldn't resist probing for more info although had to not appear too interested due to work colleague nearby who is not in the know. I collared the cleaner in the kitchen and said that we had to talk before she left. An hour later she gave me the "eyebrows" to indicate she had finished so we went to a quiet corridor (I hope) to have a natter about all things IVF. It was funny us both having 6 embies in the freezer although hers are all blasts. She had also chosen to have her NHS go at a private clinic which I have to say didn't really know was an option. She did pay an extra £800 to have her embies specially cultured which partly explains why she has 6 blasts in the freezer. She seemed really surprised that I was 40 Smile. We ended up saying that maybe we'd run into each other in the street one day pushing our babies and gave each other a hug - all quite emotional!

Taking it easy today. Need to drop off the culmination of my last 6 months of work into town in the hope that it gets to Cardiff before midnight tonight. If it doesn't then it's a £30,000 fine for the company I work for and we end up breaching a load of finance agreement so no pressure. Can't decide whether to go in the office or stay at home in the hope that I need to pick up a prescription from the docs in the next few hours.

Sorry for epic post but making up for last few weeks Grin

lumen · 30/09/2014 10:29

happy that is fab news. Sending you implantation vibes! I have just started my long protocol so have five weeks until I get to EC/ET.

lumen · 30/09/2014 10:45

gill sorry to hear it wasn't AF. Your work sounds manic at the moment, hope it calms down soon.

beakybeak · 30/09/2014 14:57

Gill AF is such a bitch when it doesn't turn up when expected. How frustrating. Hopefully everything will be fine and you will get a transfer in December still. Crazy coincidence re the cleaner, and this £800 for special culturing sounds interesting runs off to consult dr google hopefully you do both bump into each other with your babies ASAP! Your work situation sounds v.stressful, a 2ww wouldn't have helped stress levels at all.

Happy hooray to being PUPO!! Excellent quality of embies there too.

Lumen 5 weeks will fly, hope your knee is better today.

How you doing Jellie? Wild hope you're ok too. I'm not even symptom spotting, everything that's going on for me is usual for my normal cycle so I really doubt this has worked. Going away to see the in laws this weekend so at least that's something to take my mind off it all.

Funky how're you doing? I need to get on and update myself in the list! There doesn't seem to be too many people around at the moment to do theirs.

Jelliebabe2 · 30/09/2014 19:58

Hey lovely ladies!

Happy! That's AMAZEBALLS! Welcome to the Pupo gang and well done on getting frosties too! Grin

Lumen sorry about your knee hope its feeling Better today Flowers

Beaky how're you doing?

Gill your work sounds mental! I hope that you get to take it a bit easier after today!

Sad I missed the spam... Looks like it could have been useful! Grin

I'm fine, just a bit meh... Feeling just the same as usual but I think I may Be having a small twanging low down on the left... This may be my vivid imagination (or wind). I'm sure I felt something in the same place last time.

Jelliebabe2 · 30/09/2014 20:01

Dammit stupid tablet lines to post before I want to! Anyway feeling nothingy Spending all day on ff or Google/mumsnet! I bought pee sticks today might try Friday.. Or Saturday... Or never.... Gaaaaaah!

funkymonk · 30/09/2014 21:39

Evening All... Fantastic news to PUPO Happy at having 2 in the palace and some for the freezer! Keeping all crossed for you.

Beaky, Wild, Jellie do you all have the same otd as each other? Saturday?! Very exciting times! Are you going to do the hat-trick?

Oops, Lumen on your fall! Hope your knee is not too sore today?

Gill stop working so hard! Sorry that your cycle is messing you about. Sounds like you shared a lovely moment with the lady at work. Feels so much better to know that there are other people in your every day life that are going through similar things.

Tiger have you found the acupuncture has made any difference to your cycles at all? I've had 7 sessions so far and am not noticing much of anything.

AFM we have the ivf planning appt 3rd November, where we will find out whether we will be long or short-protocol and all other details of the treatment.

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/09/2014 22:13

Happy I'm lurking and crossing everything for you

beakybeak · 30/09/2014 22:27

Hi Funky! If you're short protocol might you fit a round in before Mr Funk goes away? My test date is a week after Jellie and Wild although Wild, is Saturday 16 days post iui for you?

Jellie sending positive thoughts your way! Nothing to report here, ovary twinges and sore boobs but that's normal every cycle for me!

tigerdog · 30/09/2014 22:34

Nice work on the epic post gilSmile. It is a touching upside to the angst of ttc that you can find an unexpected bond over fertility issues with a colleague at work, be it the cleaner or the chief exec. Fingers crossed for her, and you both.

Hope those in the 2ww are ticking off another day and it's not all going too slowly. I am thinking of you all and hoping so much for your happy outcomes. happy congratulations on being PUPO! jellie, just picture that embie snuggling in. Fingers crossed for you.

Had a lovely acupuncture session and feel rather relaxed. Funky to answer your question, I'm not sure it is doing that much but the lady I see is very supportive and has had so many great results, and going makes me feel relaxed and hopeful. My cycles are textbook 28 days, ovulation at day 14 (or thereabouts) good temps to prove it and very little spotting etc so there isn't much she is aiming to do.

Looking forward to a weekend at home and no plans so I can feel a bit more sorted, although its only Tuesday!

WildflowerMarmalade · 01/10/2014 08:17

happy wow, wow, wow! Impressed by your embryo quality. Congrats on being pupo and look after yourself now.

jellie hope your meh feeling has passed. Maybe try burying yourself in a good film or book to take your mind off it, if necessary. I've been counting on work to distract me but it is mindnumbingly boring at the moment. I'm going to have to really apply myself despite the tedium or I shall go mad.

Yes, beaky Saturday is 16 days post iui for me. That's when I'm testing, because I really don't fancy POAS and then straight out the door to work just after 6am on Friday. Not an appealing idea at all. So Saturday it is.

funky it's hard to say whether the acu helps much or at all. AF is definitely less painful since I started going, so it's worth it for that alone. My cycle does seem to have lengthened by a day too, which is good as my cycles are fairly short.

As tiger said, it is helpful to have someone nice to talk to about TTC, especially if the acu person know a lot about TTC, IVF etc. and has seen lots of people get a successful outcome. I've also felt calmer about everything since starting the acu. Hope that helps!

Pixie001 · 01/10/2014 15:08

Hey berries. Been incognito a little while but quick note to wish the pupos well. Great to see you getting to this stage. Gil hope you get progress.
It's been anxious few wks here while we waited for a date for DH to have his op to see whether they can retrieve any sperm. And today is the day it finally happens! Wish us luck they find something...alto we're fearing the worst.

lumen · 01/10/2014 16:32

Best of luck pixie that they get some swimmers Smile

HampshireBlues · 01/10/2014 19:11

I am so so sorry, had a nightmare few weeks with lack of internet, pc's and seriously poorly pooch who has just set me back £700 (but he is worth every penny) so just had a quick catch up. I wanted to say congrats on those PUPO am keeping everything crossed for you.

Other than worrying about the hound I have managed to get back to full tie work and am starting to come off my meds so fingers crossed we get back on the horse (so to speak) with my next cycle.

I'll do a proper catch up later by Hi

tigerdog · 01/10/2014 20:27

Hey pixie, fingers crossed that the op yields some swimmers.

Hi hb lovely to hear from you and glad you're getting back on horse! Sorry to hear about the poorly hound, hope he is ok now.

Not much to report here, had to do some painting today before carpets go down on Friday and now rewarding myself with a spot of the great british bake off. Relieved to be over half way through the week!

WildflowerMarmalade · 01/10/2014 21:16

pixie everything crossed that they managed to pull out some supersperm for you. They can do amazing tricks with that side of things, so I'm optimistic for you.

HB I'm delighted to hear that things are getting better with you and that you are back at work. Your poor pooch, but £700 is cheap at the price if it gets him better. Make sure to look after yourself too and take time for yourself when you need it.

tiger decorating midweek! The very though of it makes me feel weak.

Just two more days to go until testing for me. I'm pretty nervous but the wait is dragging now.

beakybeak · 01/10/2014 22:02

Pixie all the luck in the world for a positive result on Mr Pixies procedure. We are here for you either way but also as Wild says they can do wonders in that dept these days.

Wild I don't know what to say as I know I'll be super nervous when I get to that point too but I really do have my fingers and toes crossed for you. Have you got much to distract yourself with?

HB aww your poor puppy! Mines been ill recently too and I'd pay pretty much anything to make her better. They are so precious eh. Glad to hear your feeling a bit better and have felt well enough for work. Also nice to have you back here!

How's the sniffing going Lumen?

Tiger dare I ask if you managed to decide about the job? Hats off on the midweek DIY! I missed bake off tonight so will have to catch up!

Funky re the acupuncture I noticed that AF was heavier but it didn't get rid of my cysts. It totally cleared up my headaches though which is worth it alone! I've had to stop going now though due to dh's job. I did really enjoy the quiet time and felt really relaxed afterwards.

tigerdog · 01/10/2014 22:42

I'm only doing mid week decorating because I left it until the last possible minute!

beaky they have given me more time to decide so the big decision is to be made over the weekend. I think we are wavering towards yes.

wild fingers crossed for you! It must feel like the longest two weeks ever.

WildflowerMarmalade · 01/10/2014 23:05

tiger the midweek effort still counts even if you painted yourself into a corner.

I too will be distracting myself with Bake Off, repeat viewings if necessary, beaky

greatbigbushybeard · 01/10/2014 23:18

wildflower Saturday sounds like a good time to test and giving it that extra day may give you a more definitive result. I expect it's starting to nag at the back of your mind now; I certainly found it did.

hb lovely to hear from you. Well done on return to work, how have you found it? I'm in 2 ways with mine; the good parts are it takes my mind off things and the mmc now seems more in the past and not so in the forefront, the bad things are that it stresses me out and makes me anxious and 'flappy'.

tiger bake off was good wasn't it! I've said to dh that he is to stop off at posh bakery next Wednesday so we can gave cake with bake off!!

pixie hope it went well.

lumen how's the knee today?

gil your work sounds crazy! hope you got the papers sent off in time. It's nice to make that link with someone in RL who knows what you are going through.

happy go embies!

Shagathon is respectfully carrying on every other day, twice on one day this w/e and 2or3 dates in a row, including the two in a day- get us eh!! Only thing is now I feel a bit ummm, itchy down below. Am now wondering whether it's ethical to do the deed with dh even though I may have thrush and have put on canestan!! Gross eh!! Still, this could be because bushy needs a tidy up down below. She's sadly been neglected all summer. I am going to book in for a proper bikini after next period.
